“I took my husband for Father’s Day brunch/lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant here in the Palisades and as always it did not disappoint. It never does. He loved his steak and eggs, steak was Devine and I loved my chick pea soup. Always have the panne cotta and the cherry gelato and an espresso in their delightful patio and you’ve been to Italy!“

“My wife and I went to the Grove in Los Angeles last night and we had dinner at "Sogno Toscana," an it was outstanding. It was perfect in every way; great food, great drinks, outstanding and friendly staff, beautiful location, etc. I love Italian food but I can't think of one Italian restaurant that I like, until "Sogno Toscano." The food was outstanding, and there was so much more we saw go by that we can't wait to go back and try. And the drinks were outstanding. I love martini's and they served the best martini I've ever had. Giacomo was our server and took great care of us. He's from Italy and "Sogno Toscana" brought him to America when they opened their New York restaurant, and now he's in LA for this new restaurant. Although very busy, the entire staff were very fun to be around, and most of them are Italian which is also great.“

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. “HELLO THE BAGEL IS HUGE?? I find it extremely fascinating how Layla Bagels is right next door, although after having tried Jyan Isaac, I think they serve different audiences.

Jyan Isaac has more diverse offerings beyond bagels, from bread to pastries, and their cream cheese is absolutely heavenly with its stronger flavor, reminiscent of Courage Bagels’ cream cheese. The combination of everything actually on the bagel wins the Layla Laika but there’s definitely still some room for improvement in the produce quality when compared to their competitor next door. However, there is no line here and a lot more seating while still capturing the vast majority of the bagel-eating experience!“

“I personally don’t normally love kale so perhaps this was my own fault, but I was very underwhelmed and the kale was quite overpowering. If you’re looking for ggiata this isn’t it. The avocado toast and the soup were great though according to my friends! We visited right after our barre class and it’s such a cute spot! “NY transplant always looking for great pizza in LA and I don’t know why there isn’t a line out the door here. Different from NY pizza due to the chewy sourdough crust but the square pie is unlike any pizza I ever tasted. Round pie is excellent too.

“We went on Valentine's Day, and it turned out to be such a lovely and memorable experience for both of us at the Brazilian steakhouse. From the start, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and Ellie was especially kind. She checked in on us and made us feel genuinely cared for along with the hostess who was amazing. We even shared how disappointing our Valentine's Day dinner last year had been elsewhere, which made this experience feel like a complete and refreshing opposite in the best way. Everything from the service to the pacing and overall vibe was fantastic, and the food was outstanding, with the seasoned beef easily being our favorite among the delicious cuts. Overall, it was a wonderful Valentine's Day that we'll truly look back on fondly and we will definitely be back again!“
