“I stopped by this Subway location this morning to get myself a soup since she was craving chicken noodle soup. I got the chicken noodle soup before at other Subway stores. I been to this Subway before but it was a while ago because this store usually doesn't honor the deals that most other subway store accept and the parking isn't the greatest here. I found parking easily today when I came in the morning, I was able to park right in the front. When I walked inside the store, I was there only customer and there was 1 lady working at the time. I asked if they had chicken noodle soup and she told me they only have broccoli soup. So I called my wife and she said that was fine. They only have 1 size for the soup so I asked for that. The lady did not seem happy to be working today or her body language just wasn't as polite or receptive. When I took the soup home to my wife to eat, she really like it. I was surprise because I thought she wouldn't but she did. She wish they had a bigger size but next time I'll just get her 2.

I cannot believe how amazing the subs are here. Also how huge they are. You can honestly get a regular size sub and split it with a friend and it will get the job done.

I was so hungry I don’t even remember the name of the sub I got. I know it was amazing.

“I was on a time crunch last week while on a lunch break and I noticed this spot was nearby, and open. I ordered the So Cal bowl; it came with very juicy chicken with chipotle aioli sauce. It was extremely good and I’m definitely telling my coworkers about it. Also got a chocolate chip cookie for my little sweet tooth, and that was also fantastic, so chewy and not too sweet.

“Defrankos was our first stop on our 12 day vacation from Canada. We got off the flyaway and walked down a few blocks with all of our luggage in tow. The staff were incredibly friendly, they gave us such a warm welcome to California… but beyond that the food was AMAZING. We are currently sitting at the airport going over our trip and all 3 of us agreed the very best food we had on this trip were our 3 subs from Defrankos. ❤️

“It's a divey local joint with a laser focus on sub sandwiches. Limited menu, all of it good. The guys taking orders and making sandwiches are genuinely happy and enjoy their work. Very friendly and personable.
I had pastrami, she had a sausage sandwich. She declared the sandwich average (marinara average, sausage ok but average). My pastrami was good for what it was but personally disappointing. They heat it in simmering broth, that washes out the salt and flavor and makes it rubbery. Best handling of pastrami IMO is to heat it on the flat top. That renders and softens some of the fat, concentrates the flavor and makes it a little crispy. Then put the cheese on top of that to melt before it goes on the bread, that's a good sandwich. Anyway...
The pepper steak is what a lot of people get, looking forward to trying it next time.“

“Paulie’s is really good food. I drive by here for work all the time and have never been disappointed. Note: definitely not a budget eatery, but quality is good. One thing I love is that they seem to pay attention to the little details. They have great cold cuts, huge cookies, and even their own drinks.

“Giamela's is an old family owned chain with amazing pepper steak subs. I have been eating here since at least the early 80's, and unfortunately they've closed a few locations. Their subs are generously portioned and freshly prepared. Aside from their pepper steak, their meatball sub among others is classic. The atmosphere and decor is basic, but that isn't why you come here. Service is friendly.“

“I have been looking for quinoa all over LA. This place serves it and it is very good. The mix has just the right amount of dried sweet cranberries and a few chickpeas. It was perfect. I had a salad with tuna avocado and egg salad. I was able to sub the egg salad for tuna which was very nice of them. They gave me a fork full of a mayonnaise free tuna they had prepared on the way out which again was a great experience. “The description of Ike's to me made it sound like Fat Sal's and I was excited. Truth of the matter is Ike's holds its own, and it didn't disappoint. It has a great menu mixed with Meat and Veggie options. The Mrs. and I split and highly recommend the Captain Carl and the Meatless Mike (I concur "best vegan meatball in America", and Our 3 y/o gives the grilled cheese 👍👍. Our 9y/o swears it was the best grilled cheese she ever had.“

“Mendocino Farms in Toluca Lake is hands down one of my favorite spots for a fresh, healthy meal. I’ve probably tried every salad on the menu, and they never disappoint. The ingredients are always crisp, flavorful, and satisfying. When I’m not in the mood for salad, the Peruvian steak sandwich is my go-to, absolutely delicious and packed with flavor.

The staff here are always friendly, welcoming, and quick to help, which makes every visit even more enjoyable. Parking is located in the back. While the lot isn’t huge, it’s manageable, and you get one hour free if you let the parking attendant know you’re dining at Mendocino Farms, just a small extra step for a great meal. “These Vietnamese sandwiches are “The best sandwiches in town” as advertised on their packaging. French bread is freshly baked for that perfect toast that’s not too dry as I’ve had at other spots. The sandwich was over 12inches long and made to order. My go to Vietnamese sandwich is grilled pork with everything and they are generous with the meat. Sandwiches are so good that I end up never saving the other half. They offer clean seats and tables but nothing to boast about.“

I’ve also heard him coaching and training others and I can tell he’s an amazing leader. I come by this location at least once a month and always have a great experience.

Parking: There’s street parking all around the intersection, just depends how much you need to walk. Service is usually quick enough that I can put in a quarter for 15 minutes at the meter and I leave well before it runs out.“

“The franchisee is a proud owner and has been there for 23 years. I hadn't been to a Quiznos and quite some time, it came up in conversation and I decided to hunt one down only to be surprised that there has been one in my neighborhood that I didn't even know was there. The food is great, Quiznos is a forgotten gem in the sandwich world. I also miss the Quiznos commercials with the spug monkeys. We love the subs! Because they are good to us. 😂“

“Have lived in the area most of my life and somehow it took me this long to finally stop in. Maybe because I sleep most days and work all night, I'm never up early enough? Honestly with the state of the world, most natural disasters won't get me out of bed, but I will now actually set my alarm just to stop in for a loaded gyro and some hummus and pita. Super easy casual spot, I want to start going through their list of sandos after how perfectly balanced and filling their gyro was, but honestly it's going to be hard not to keep ordering this every time. Super fresh, garlicky hummus, great portions for the price on everything, and a quick easy lunch that doesn't break your wallet.
