“Wow!! Everything about this place was amazing. The decor, the staff, the food. Can't wait to come back. Galata Turkish Halal Grill is on the corner of Belmont and Nieto. Depending on what time you come free parking can be difficult to find. They provide indoor seating and a few tables outside as well. I came with a friend and were seated within seconds. We ordered the Galata salad, a chicken donor wrap, and a beef donor wrap. To our surprise they brought out a plate of sun-dried tomatoes in herbs and oil with some fresh warm bread to start, so good! The food we ordered was delicious. We both agreed that the beef donor wrap was our favorite of the two. As for the salad, I thought corn was an interesting topping to add but I felt that the flavors went well together. The dates and the caramelized walnuts were a nice touch. However, my friend was on the fence about it. She mentioned it was too lemony for her taste. So keep that in mind if your preference is similar to hers when ordering the Galata salad. The staff had to have been the best part of the whole experience they were all so kind and very helpful when we were not sure what to order. They even gave us complimentary pomegranate tea when we finished our food. This place is a must try in my opinion.“

We ordered a large serving of their Believe Stew to go, it was that good (and it comes on most of the dishes on this menu).Generally Caribbean, they have a wide variety of salads, bowls, and tacos. Definitely worth trying their menu here.This faces a parking lot that is extremely busy. Looking for parking at some times of day might be difficult.“

“The staff was friendly and very attentive. I dined with a party of 6 and everyone seemed to enjoy the food and the portions were generous . We shared the mezza appetizer which was delicious and definitely enough for the 6 of us. I ordered a chicken bowl which was tasty but the chicken kabob was overcooked.“

“As entreprenuers we travel the world and the unknown and get to have great experiences with people. Today we visited World Famous Grill in Downey and Hassan was the perfect gentleman. He helped us with a Kabob Combo Plate with hummus, rice salad and pita bread along with their famous Western Burger which was monstrous and delicious. Our daughter was also able to order chicken nuggets and fries as well. We appreciate these small businesses opposed to all the BIG corporations who usually say no to us asking for food. “The best Indonesian food I’ve had in SoCal. On par with the best food I’ve had while in Indonesia. I would drive an hour every day to this place if I could. Try the Sate Kambing, nasi goreng sapi, ox tail soup. People there are super friendly. Dishes may seem priced a bit high, but the quality, taste and quantity makes it more than worthwhile.“

Oh oh…the Garlic potatoes are off the rocker. So Ah-May-Zing! One order is enough for 2 people. But let’s talk hummus…seriously let’s talk. So to recap we ordered the kabab dinner which are served over a huge bed of fluffy flavored rice with a grilled onion and tomato, huge serving of hummus ❤️ plus pita bread, salad, pickled spicy onions and the best garlic dip EHVERRRR! They have wraps, bowls and all kinds of items. The food is done right and I’m already planning to go back this week. They have 2 other locations. The one in Long Beach is a larger restaurant that is a larger dine in serves wine and beer. Going to try there too.“

The orange chicken is amazing especially because they give you big chunks of chicken unlike other Chinese restaurants where it’s more breading than chicken.If you are in a rush call ahead or else you’ll be waiting awhile. “I’ve been meaning to stop by this place for years. I’m kicking myself for waiting so long. First, the place is so welcoming and open. I remember when it was a KFC and I cannot believe how great they made it look. The staff was awesome! When I walked in they were joking around with each other like pals! Back and front staff! It’s rare to see such a positive team feeling like this! The manager was also very welcoming and gave great suggestions and was incredibly friendly and helpful. I don’t know what these negative reviews are talking about. The portions are great, and you get more for what you pay. The meat was quality white chicken breast meat which is no surprise because they have a carniceria on site! The meal felt homemade. The salad was fresh and the hummus tasted like it was made that morning. Great experience! Im definitely making this a regular spot!“

“The most delicious, freshly prepared, juicy, well seasoned chicken breast sandwich I've ever had! It was great. At first, I thought it was burned because it was a really dark brown. But that's because it was saturated in seasoning. I chose the hot one and it was hot! Took a few minutes to sink in. The sauce that came with it looks like thousand island dressing but doesn't taste like it. Kinda hard to describe the taste except it Kinda cools down the intense heat and pairs well with the chicken.
