“Been seeing Pinole pizza for a while now in our area. Finally decided to get out and go check it out.
This pizza is one of the best pizzas I ever tasted. The owner is really cool. Got a great vibe in the store and always has fresh ingredients. We will definitely be supporting the store in the future.
They also own a store in Richmond, which I never heard about.
After talking to the guy going back-and-forth in conversation found out that he also could cook a mean smash burger also.“

“We always have a good experience here. The food is made quickly and the price is right for a lazy meal at home.

My favorite order is the vegetarian delight on thin crust with bacon. Trust me on the thin crust. For some reason the taste of the thin crust is much better than original crust.“

“The nostalgia of walking into the legendary franchise😇☺️!! Had my SONS 2nd bday party here on Saturday. We had the MegaFun package & our host Kimberly was very helpful. She had to go around & help others as it was busy but overall fun experience.. My only critique is when Chucky Mascot came out, all the toddlers, lil ones & MY SON as well was completely blocked out I felt soo bad couldnt even get to him because the older kids bombarded him. I had to pick my lil man up so he can see.. I was lowkey pissed but I know they were excited. Maybe enforce short to tall so everyone can see him.. He also came by our table to sing the birthday song at our table for him so that kind of made up for it✨️🎉‼️.“

“This place has been a staple for our family for years! Occasionally they will get a takeout order wrong (incorrect toppings etc), but typically we are happy with our pizzas. When we've eaten in it's always been a good experience. Love the customizable options for varying diet preferences.“

“Outstanding pizza, amazing crust on both the New York and Detroit style pizza. Detroit style pizza can be a gut bomb, but they managed to have a very light airy inside along with the crunchy crust that you expect from this style pizza. And I wasn’t drinking water for hours afterwards because of any excess salt issues from the sauce or the ingredients. Will come back again to try the Grandma and the Sicilian style and maybe bring bigger group so we can order more pizzas to try“

An amazing dining experience and the best pepperoni pizza I've ever had full stop - Priceless!

My second time here and much more of an intimate experience because I was by myself killing some time before I met friends at the Freight and Salvage.

My pizza was cooked perfectly - just the way I like it with some of the edges of the nickel sized pepperoni's a bit charged and bursting with flavor. The sauce, obviously an old family recipe had been cooking for hours and had a deep rich flavor. And the crust- ohh the crust held up well to the tomato sauce and had a chewy and crisp texture.

The kind young lady who was serving me was confident I could finish the Tiramisu no matter how full I was. She was right.

Matt says if you find yourself headed to downtown Berkeley either for a Cal event or to the Freight and Salvage, be sure to make reservations in advance and feast on some of the best pizza in the Bay Area. It's a small space and fills up fast

“Pizza is surprisingly very good. The dough and crust is chewy and crispy at the same time. The tomato sauce has a right balance of tomato sweet and tang. And right amount so the pizza is not wet. I did not get the slices, just the whole pie. Pepperoni is good; the sausage could be more flavorful but I'm nitpicking. Highly recommend.“

“Just get in here, I bet you’re in the passenger seat in a car on highway 24 looking for somewhere to go. Look no further, it’s straight up good pizza. Small hole in the wall, sports stuff everywhere. They serve slices if you don’t want a full pie. They got a stack of boxes that seemingly has legs. Every time I’m in there it’s changing locations. Pepperonis are mostly under the cheese.“
