“IM OBSESSED WITH WHOLE FOODS!! Anyone that knows me knows this about me! This whole foods is huge and lots of plant based sections which is a huge plus. They're missing one star because of customer service. One of the employees at the meat section wasn't that friendly well it was the mix of vegan meat and regular meat but cooked and ready to order food, that section. One of the men came across rude. The bartenders, well the female was nice but the head guy which I'm assuming is the head guy. He's walking around in a white dress shirt, he's the only one not in uniform. He's thin and Caucasian, he's also not friendly. So missing one start strictly for customer service or lack thereof. Other than that I'd return! They have a lot of plant based hot food and desserts.“

“I picked up the Ahi Beet Poke bowl today for lunch! I loved the texture and flavor! It truly tasted like, and had the ‘mouth feel’ of poke. The dressing gave it a nice tangy flavor! The portion was very generous! Delicious! I will definitely be back to try other items on their menu!“

Drunk Cauliflower - light batter that didn't hold the cooking oil and not drenched in sauce- just enough to give it the right amount of flavor and the cauliflower were so meaty! A meal in itself!! Next was the Indian tikka masala. Flavorful land for me a little too spicy- but otherwise than that, full of deliciousness. Jasmine rice cooked to perfection and presented in the shape of a heart . Naan also yummy! Everything tasted home made ( I cook ) and the presentation was delightful . Cant wait to go back and try more. As I was leaving the dining room( very, very clean )& was filling up with hungry diners. Service is great too- very pleasant experience.“

“I got food from this place and was really happy with my order. The sandwich was awesome! It had roasted veggies, mushrooms, avocado, and came with plantains on the side. It was still fresh as takeout, and I bet it’s even better if you eat there. (lived up to its name “the best sandwich”)The buddha bowl was also great! “have you tried oaxacan food in LA? yagul cafe in santa monica prides themselves in serving authentic oaxacan food just like they serve it at home. it is a small, casual, family style restaurant that makes you feel welcomed when you walk in. to be honest i dont know much about oaxacan or even mexican food too much so I was excited to try out what they recommended! hope that I can describe the flavors better as i learn more about the cuisine! burrito banādo ($15) | 4.4/5 i must say i used to not be a fan of mole, but this burrito changed my mind. this burrito was bathed in their house made mole coloradito, it was savory yet sweet, and slightly smoky - just delicious! i chose cecina as my protein and that was super flavorful and juicy as well. the mole was so good i scraped the plate! definitely one of my top few burritos and i typically don't even like wet burritos! chilaquiles al campo w/ chorizo ($15.75) | 4.1/5eggs scrambled with spinach, tomatillo sauce, carmelized onions and chorizo. the chorizo was flavorful and their tomatillo salso was pretty fire. house coffee ($4) w/ refills | 3.9/5piping hot coffee brewed with cinnamon. the cinnamon is subtle and doesn't punch you in the face while making its presence still know. the servers also come up to ask if you want to top up your coffee which is a plus! i dont really like brewed coffee but i do like the flavor twist overall, i really enjoyed my food and looking back I am actually craving the burrito right now. i don't usually comment on service, but the staff were super friendly and energetic! they also have a juice bar, smoothie menu, and a pretty extensive breakfast menu! i definitely want to come back and try more of their other entrees! metered street parking“

They have a mouth-watering selection of fresh donuts, including an impressive assortment of cronut inspired donuts.Their little shop is in a small strip mall in Santa Monica. I had no trouble finding parking right outfront. The shop has a colorful, pink-focused theme. They had an outstanding selection of donuts on display in their glass cases as well as a nice, large menu board offering up all kinds of snacks, drinks, and sandwiches.The four donuts I sampled on my visit to DK's were fantastic. It was honestly a very hard decision. I had to limit myself to four because when I buy donuts, I have very little self control and know I am going to eat them all the same day. Besides, donuts are always best when they are fresh.The strawberry nutella cronut style donut was amazing. Lots of rich, hazelnut spread flavor mixed with strawberry. The plain glazed donut was top notch. I always try to get a plain glaze and use it as a baseline. A great plain glaze donut is always a treat for me. The cinnamon sugar cronut and the peanut butter cup donut were also great.I know there are other "DK" donut places out there. This one is a real treat and I think it is the OG one. If you are in Santa Monica or are passing by, make sure you stop by and support a great local business!“

“First time coming in here. Thought we had to be members of LA Fitness but it's open to the public. Great customer service and the protein shakes are very good! My son who's picky with protein shakes surprisingly said pretty good. That means we will definitely be returning.“

“I used to love sunright! I used to get the grape frostie almost every day! They even had a buy one get one free grape frostie for a month before they discontinued it since it was a seasonal drink! “Great food and friendly staff. I dropped in for lunch. I ordered the half sandwich and side of fruit. Also I was craving a hot drink and they suggested their wellness tea that comes with lemon, ginger and honey. Everything was delightful. The sandwich comes with pickled jalapeños and avocado on your choice of lightly toasted bread. The fruit was nice mix of watermelon, cucumber and melons. I was just in the area for other reasons. Lucky find! I'd come in again if I'm back here!“

The latter was my favorite, but both were delicious! These came out on the quicker side (maybe 5 minutes?), though I know can take up to 20 to make from the other reviews. Tasted flavorful and fresh, and were a great portion size for breakfast or a mid-day snack. They have a decent-sized breakfast and lunch menu (along with some pastries), plenty of vegetarian options, and fruit juices that looked really refreshing. AMBIENCE: I really enjoyed the ambiance here. I went on a weekday, so it wasn't super crowded. There's a few 2-4 seater tables, a larger window-facing table with comfy chairs, a ledge for those who want to park with a laptop, and some outdoor sidewalk seating. More of a casual vibe, very bright and airy and open. On a corner. There is street parking (up to 1 hour directly in front, and up to 2 hours a few blocks down on Ocean). That's my one qualm, is that it'd be hard to spend more than 2 hours here due to the parking situation. SERVICE: So friendly and kind.“

“When I think of Melo Melo, I think of a homey type of feeling of comfort. Not only are their desserts both delicious and the right amount of sweetness, it reminds me of my mom and grandma making Vietnamese desserts called Che where some have coconut milk and it just gives it the right touch of creaminess to the dessert. You can feel the love that was put in with each bite. For Melo Melo, even though it’s not che, I still get that same nostalgic feeling and my heart is full (and stomach too). They have a wide range of flavors, from different fruits, to jelly, to childhood favorites like ovaltine or oreo mixed with their signature coconut jelly, and more! They just came out with a Sunset Series, the Sunset Mango Coconut, Sunset Sticky Rice Coconut, and the Sunset Durian Coconut. I also grabbed a jar of Matcha Coconut to go. I love the fact that the desserts aren’t overly sweet and get the sweetness from the fruit or mix-in. The soothing coconut cream jelly/pudding consistency makes it a dream to slurp or in my case, inhale the entire thing. Also just upon opening the jar I have instant joy from seeing it jiggle jiggle! The Sunset Mango Coconut reminds me if a mango sticky rice dessert had a baby with coconut pudding. Genius! The Sunset Sticky Rice Coconut reminds me of the glutinous purple rice vietnamese che, with the coconut cream on top. Mmmm! The Sunset Durian Coconut.. OMG.. if you are a durian lover… yes! And yes!!! For you haters out there.. It is the king of all fruit.. Only kings and queens can handle it! Jk! It tastes fresh and not rubbery as if it was frozen and thawed. The durian was creamy and custardy, and then adding another layer of texture coming from the sticky rice, and POW some velvety coconut jelly to put it all together. My absolute fave! The matcha coconut was delicious and not too strong in matcha flavor. I’ve had where matcha was so overbearing and bitter that it was difficult to enjoy. Not this one! This one was super smooth and slurpilicious! Right amount of matcha, right amount of coconut where it doesn’t overpower the green tea, great texture and enjoyable! Yes I devoured that! Basically I inhaled everything because the desserts were light and not heavy! I can totally eat this for days!!! So whoever said they don’t have room for dessert.. that’s a lie because there is room for Melo Melo!“
