“The original whole fried chicken was delicious! It was juicy, crispy, and flavorful, and truly didn’t need any extra sauce or flavoring. Plus the price was quite good, and the fact that it’s a fairly small chicken means it’s not overly fatty like some larger-sized ones can be and perfect for a small family. Our favorite thing we got though was the sotteok sotteok sausage and rice cake skewers. They were so addicting I almost wish we had gotten more than 2 orders of them!“

“I’ve had Hainanese Chicken Rice in so many different places, but imagine my surprise to get one so pure, clean and delicious as the one at the little Rooster & Rice Pleasanton location! The plate was ready almost as soon as I finished paying, and the quality was out of this world! Tender, succulent chicken, fragrant and savory rice, super clean broth, and the dipping sauce was addictive. I only wish we had one of these in Monterey, CA!“

“Best Chicken in Town! Our go to place when we crave chicken wings. Delicious and crispy! They also have a lot of flavors to choose from. Chicken wings are not oily.My favorite is the Honey/Cheddar flavored wings. I only order Half Wings (10 pieces). They have decent size, so I can't finish it. I order full order of wings.We order rice with it, and it comes with a side of fermented jicama. They are crunchy and delicious. If you are not used to fermented food, the smell may be too much for you. Something you may need to get used to.“

“Yes, this place is inside a Chevron store. I've had Kristy Krunchy Chicken twice now. It's pretty good. This time, I found a deal that I liked: 8 pieces of chicken for $13.29. I believe the last time I got 4 pieces and a biscuit for $9.99.

As soon as I got home, I devoured two pieces. They were crunchy, juicy and a bit spicy. Last time with the 4 pieces, I felt the chicken was a little dry, but perhaps this time it didn't sit out for too long. It made a big difference. They have more than 4 sauces, but I only asked for sweet & sour and barbecue. The sauces were not bad, but they tasted very similar. I hope it wasn’t due to the high fructose corn syrup, but oh well.
