But talking about service, can you imagine our surprise when a waitress walked over to our table and gave us 50.00 in cash (not credit) saying that we overpaid on our last visit - a month ago! “Tiny speck of a neighborhood haunt with 4 or 5 tables and a scant 6 stools at a sushi bar. Service is friendly, timely and professional. Fish is as fresh as the Ocean and whatever came into Ventura or Santa Barbara in today's catch. Omakase for $60 pp and an amazing specials board with fresh eel, uni, sea bream, wahoo, scallops, amaebi, blue fin toro, and many others. Sake menu -- and Japanese beers -- complete the traditional experience.“

“Hands down BEST sushi in Ventura! We come here at least once a week. Highly recommend parking along the street, catching sunset on the beach, then coming here for dinner. Although everything I’ve ordered here has been excellent, my very favorites are the Avocado Bomb (the best I’ve ever had) and the Sushi House Roll. Had the eel roll and i felt to be a bit expensive for what it was, 20.00.

“Had lunch here. It was really good. The only issue i had was that when I first arrived I was waiting for the other party to show up. Which took about 10 minutes for them to arrive. Within that time the waiter served my drink but also asked me 2 times if I was ready to order and I told him I was waiting for the other guest to arrive.“

“We moved to Hollywood Beach a year ago and finally decided to give Fisherman’s Sushi a try. The set up is a little strange, it’s like an abandoned food court that has just them operating out of it, in a small space. However, the dining area was an open with seats for full service. For me this is a pick up and go spot and not made for dining in. With that said the sushi was good and the service was fast. We had the caterpillar roll and the Fisherman’s roll and a beef teriyaki box. The flavors were good and it did taste fresh. The price point was also fair. So for me this is a great spot to pick up from or have delivered.“

After the first few sushi pieces, I asked him just to serve me whatever he thought. He did not skip a beat! Without knowing me prior, he KNEW me instantly after those few servings of sushi and sashimi. A restaurant NOT to walk pass or go visit. Don't miss out.“

“Very nice date I had w my husband. We both enjoyed and loved it here, we both said this will be our to go place for sushi. You get soup and a salad to start with I believe that's part of the service because we didn't order it lol so u do get what you pay for. Good portions and a very good place to go to. Nice and quiet just how we like it for a dinner date so we are able to talk and have conversations but not to quiet as well.“
