Don't even need the soy sauce because the rolls are well seasoned. Serving is huge enough to make you full. Almost forgot my hat and very glad my server reminded that I left it in my chair. “Hands down BEST sushi in Ventura! We come here at least once a week. Highly recommend parking along the street, catching sunset on the beach, then coming here for dinner. Although everything I’ve ordered here has been excellent, my very favorites are the Avocado Bomb (the best I’ve ever had) and the Sushi House Roll. The staff are always very welcoming, friendly, and attentive.“

“The sashimi is consistently of higher quality - fresh with smoother texture - and the tempura lighter without the oil drenched heaviness of old school home cooking. Overall, the food has a tasty, lighter, and balanced flavor profile that we enjoy. But talking about service, can you imagine our surprise when a waitress walked over to our table and gave us 50.00 in cash (not credit) saying that we overpaid on our last visit - a month ago! Some years earlier, one of the sushi chefs and former student of mine paid for our meal as a surprising and much appreciated gesture of gratitude. Thank you.“

“In my top 3 sushi places in ventura (Seaward sushi, Banzai Marina, and now Koba sushi). This restaurant is a smaller place that is cozy and inviting. It's a more traditional sushi restaurant that serves the freshest sushi! The staff was very nice and friendly. The place was spotless and pleasant to be in. And the food was delicious! It is pricey bit worth it. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants quality sushi (and sake)!“

“I got the lunch bento with katsu and spicy tuna roll. Everything had a delicious flavor, the rice was perfect, and the salad was fresh. My wife is vegetarian and the chef made her an awesome tofu hot stone bowl. The chef was really talented, helpful, and fast. We’ll definitely be returning.“

“Sent my dog to the groomers nearby and had time to spare so I went here with my mom. Absolutely fantastic experience there. Portions are great and the food is so good you can’t stop eating! My mom is very picky and now she’s always asking me the next time we’re going back. The service is very kind and helpful if you’re unsure of what to get. Everyone there is so kind and I’m definitely going back again.“

“One of my favorite sushi spots in the area - I always come for happy hour where the deals are amazing, and the service has always been incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick. Google says it's cash-only but it's not! I know their management changed recently so hopefully maybe the problematic employees other people have been pointing out have been changed. I've always had a pleasant and lovely experience here in the past few months and it's definitely a go-to spot!“

“Hidden gem!! It's tucked inside an abandoned food court. All the other stores within the food court are closed. It's the last one standing from the aftermath of the pandemic. Grabbed some quick sushi to take back to the hotel.
The sushi is surprisingly very good and fresh! Sashimi is buttery and silky. Price is very reasonable, and portions are just right. Sushi rolls and sashimi were delightful!“

“Small & family owned. The food tastes great and the prices are very reasonable. The owners are there 6 days out of the week from opening to closing. Do not go there expecting a 5-star fine dining experience, but if you want to support a hard working small mom-and-pop owned restaurant with great quality foods and welcoming atmosphere, it's totally worth a try!“

“Very nice date I had w my husband. We both enjoyed and loved it here, we both said this will be our to go place for sushi. You get soup and a salad to start with I believe that's part of the service because we didn't order it lol so u do get what you pay for. Good portions and a very good place to go to. Nice and quiet just how we like it for a dinner date so we are able to talk and have conversations but not to quiet as well.“

Trade out the disgusting ceiling panels, and lastly, launder the dirty cloth hanging between bathroom and seating area.
