“I asked my husband to find a cute + cozy Italian restaurant for Friday night dinner date, and we found what we wanted and more! Low lighting, but not so low you can’t read the menu. Quiet enough to hear conversation, but not awkward-quiet. And the service was top notch, nothing about the spot was pretentious, and the food was tasty. The owner (or maybe maître d’?) Vasak was so sweet and greeted us with a huge smile. He had us come to the back to taste all of the wines because I didn’t know which one I wanted, and he brought tiramisu on the house at the end of our meal. The whole staff was friendly and fast, and they all seemed to know the guests who walked in—big smiles, hugs, handshakes, “see-you-in-a-couple-weeks”. We got bow tie pasta with pink sauce and their house made gnocchi with pesto cream sauce; perfectly al dente and perfectly salted. I’m going to bring all of my friends!“

“What an incredible hidden gem! We were craving Italian food and decided to check out Al Italiano. Walked in on a Tuesday night a little before closing. Eddie and the owner Robert greeted us warmly. The menu has some great options and we were indecisive what to order. Our waiter Eddie is a first class professional and answered all our questions with patience and in details. His recommendations were amazing. We ordered Eggplant Parmesan, Veal Piccata, Children’s cheese pizza, Salumiere pizza and their homemade Tiramisu. Everything was excellent and so tasty. The whole experience at Al Italiano was outstanding and unforgettable. Robert is a great business owner who actually cares and treats you like family. His whole staff is very respectful and helpful. The ambiance is very Italian and welcoming. We found a true gem! Thank you Robert, Eddie and staff! We will be back soon!“

“If you haven't heard of La Bella Pizza Trattoria Italiana in San Fernando, let me be the one to change that. This little spot may fly under the radar, but the experience it delivers is anything but ordinary.

The food was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The Diavola pizza had the perfect kick, and the truffle pizza was rich and indulgent in the best way possible. The lasagna was pure comfort — hearty, flavorful, and clearly made with love. And the tiramisu? Easily one of the best I've ever had. Every single dish that hit the table was delicious.

A huge part of what makes this place so special is Chef Antonio, who hails from Puglia, Italy. He actually came out to greet us personally, guided us through a wine selection imported from his home region, and made sure every detail was just right. He sources many of his ingredients directly from Italian markets and puts his personal stamp of approval on every dish that leaves his kitchen — and you can absolutely taste the difference.

We came as a family to celebrate a birthday, and Chef Antonio surprised us with extra desserts as a special touch. As we were leaving, he said goodbye and gave each of us a warm hug. That kind of hospitality is rare and unforgettable.

If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience with incredible food and a chef who truly pours his heart into everything he does, look no further. I cannot recommend La Bella Pizza Trattoria Italiana enough. We will absolutely be back!“

“We went to the coolest little Italian place in the valley for Valentine's on a total whim. The entire place was themed, they had a fun violinist, the wait staff wore Valentine's glasses & vests, they had pink and red lights on the palm trees out front, heart shaped straws... it was so quirky and fun. Service was awesome, like the staff was actually having a good time and glad we were there. The food was AWESOME quality... everything homemade down to the freshly baked heart shaped bread. I don't recall if we've ever really 'celebrated' Valentine's day but going to this restaurant made it feel like an actual holiday. So fun and cute. Also, the prices & portions! “In 2015, I visited Casa de Pizza and I recall the atmosphere was lively, busy and had live music. At the time it was very dark and dimly lit. The food was bomb. 10 years later I had the pleasure of visiting this place again in 2026. The food continues to be high quality and delicious. The customer service was great! I enjoyed how it had good lighting (not too bright but bright enough to see your food) and light music playing in the background. You can also watch sports events there. I truly appreciate this place!“

Started out with appetizer little pieces of bread with seasoning and the marinara sauce you can tell was absolutely homemade delicious
The olive oil oil was and bread matched that of the quality of Italy
the Branzino fish dish was absolutely amazing. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. The carrots were delicious.
My family ordered the medallion steaks were also exceptional
The chicken dish and the seafood pasta was also as good as the rest of the dishes

For dessert, the tiramisu and the tart with vanilla ice cream and the dark chocolate tropics were to die for

“Food is always good here and service as well. I love the endless soup with their meals. Lunch time is a great bargain. Wish they'd have have the option of the sandwiches coming on Italian bread than just all on the bread sticks but they are still pretty good for the price. I go for the meatball sand because it's a cheaper bargain price and I thought it was much better tasting than the chicken sandwich which was about the same as you'd get at Burger King. My wife and I come to Olive Garden mostly when they have the GET ONE TAKE ONE HOME DEAL. Can't beat that. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because all their chicken is not that good and is the same yuck kind you can get at any fast food joint. The meatballs are great. But then if you want to add them to you spaghetti dinner, they charge an extra $3 for 3 meatballs or sausage even. Then that makes spaghetti & meatballs come to about $16 and that is overpriced imo. On some visits the spaghetti sauce is caked with thick tomato slices in it and no other options because it's all made that day. Some days the sauce is more meaty and then the next visit tons of too much tomato slices and it's all watery. Also, being a bigger guy, almost every time we've been here, it's been a bit embarrassing being seated at booths that don't fit me and then having to move and I think the host or hostess should know better and know their tables. Otherwise this is a place we go to for lunch and only for dinner when they have the buy one take one home deal.“

I've always known that the way to tell the difference between an average restaurant and a better restaurant is the way they're calamari is cooked and presented. Calamari was perfect. Tender and mild. The arugula salad was quite fresh. The pasta was definitely in-house made. Perfectly served Al Dante with a spicy sauce that made the dish sublime. I will be back.“

“There were 4 of us dining in for a late lunch/ early dinner. It's a very comfortable place with a great menu and awesome desserts. The owner works there and the staff is awesome and friendly. If you want to adjust your selection a bit they are happy to help in any way possible! The portions are good size to share. We love going there and the staff makes it cozy and welcoming. “So happy to have tried Sugo! I only dipped my toes into the flavor pool ordering only the French Fries and the Meatballs and sauce! Having had an Italian Chef for a Father, I grew up being able to tell good Italian flavors from a simple dish like Meatballs and Sauce (gravy)! Both were excellent from Sugo! Hot from heat, great texture and fine flavors and plenty of food! I'm looking forward to delving deeply into the menu next time! The rest of the family dinner was a hit with everyone too! “NYC cheese slices are my jam, and we have an embarrassment of riches in Sherman Oaks. Within a mile of each other, there are three, count 'em three, authentic NY slice shops. My son and I visited all three of them on a self-guided cheese slice tour of Sherman Oaks. Pizza Wagon was stop three on the tour!

The atmosphere is good...NY decor on the walls in what feels like a truly neighborhood / not-chain space. The service was great too...the staff worked quickly and were abundantly friendly and helpful.

They do a good job with authentic style slices...the right amount of crisp on the crust and a good ratio of sauce versus cheese. The chew was good, though both the crust and sauce don't quite have the superior flavor profile of the nearby places.

It's definitely a good alternative to those, though, and miles ahead of the major chain pizzas in terms of NY style.“

“We celebrated our holiday dinner party at Rusti Kitchen Calabasas with our entire staff, and we were extremely happy with the service, food, ambiance, and overall experience. We arrived a bit early, and the owners kindly seated us at the bar and offered complimentary drinks while our table for 20 was being prepared. Throughout the evening, they checked in with us to make sure everything was taken care of.

Our staff loved everything that was served buffet-style—salmon, pasta, salads, pizza, vegetables, chicken, and a delicious dessert.
