“Defrankos was our first stop on our 12 day vacation from Canada. We got off the flyaway and walked down a few blocks with all of our luggage in tow. The staff were incredibly friendly, they gave us such a warm welcome to California… but beyond that the food was AMAZING. We are currently sitting at the airport going over our trip and all 3 of us agreed the very best food we had on this trip were our 3 subs from Defrankos. ❤️

“You have to take it for what it is: an American diner place who does pizza. Is it better than Chuck E. Cheese? Absolutely. A lot better? Well, maybe. But the food is honest, the sort of out of time atmosphere good enough for me.

You don’t pay extra for decor and that ok. I love nostalgic food joints reminiscing of easier times e and this is one of my go to places for comfort food.

“We don’t eat out for so many reasons. 1. Because we always get sick and believe me this is every time we eat out. But we discovered this hole in the wall. The owners of this place clock in about 90 hours a week working on their own business. The place has 5 starts and an A rate from the health department and no joke, they deserve it. It is the first time we didn’t got sick form eating outside food!!! Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!!“

“Angelini Osteria totally lived up to the hype! We had a great dinner there that night and I can't wait to go back again soon. Let's start with the star of this show: uni pasta. Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. My husband and I came here last minute on a Saturday before a Pantages show, sat at the bar… and everything from beginning to end was fantastic. As Pantages season ticket holders, this will definitely be our new go to spot before our shows moving forward!“

“Ambiance is exceptional!
The service was careful and attentive and the food is flavorful. For the price point I hesitate to recommend the chicken, and our pizza was a litttttle burnt but again the flavors are great. The Caesar salad really stood out for me. And I would definitely recommend this to a friend for an intimate dinner.“

We came to celebrate and celebrate we did.
We loved the food, service and the ambiance.

We started out with a house salad and a mozzarella. We also had penne alla vodka, rigatoni and snapper. Hearty servings and it was all delicious. We finished it off with a peanut butter pie.

My boyfriend asked to see a specific photo and the manager knew where it was right away so he could snap a photo with it.

“Really great service, way ahead of most LA restaurants. Food is delicious, staff is very attentive and well organized. There is always a “but”. Hostess are typical LA style “we are too important and fancy” girls making the very beginning of the evening pretty unpleasant. The rest of the night is 100% worth the time.“

“We weren't spending a massive amount, but for us it was a lot, and our server made us feel special and went out of her way to make our entire experience special. The food was outstanding quality, with massive flavour hits in every mouthful. We loved the anchovies that came in their own tin, and whilst we each had very different primo dishes, each hit the spot for us precisely. My partner had a sorbet which was both rich and exotic - not a usual descriptor for a sorbet! We only ordered wine by the glass, but each choice met expectations precisely. All in all, a splendid occasion.“

“My first meal in L.A. and I couldn't have selected a better restaurant. The service was excellent, he was attentive and gave a great recommendation. we selected the goat cheese salad to start. It was delicious. Main courses were the chicken lasagna and seafood medley pasts. The portions were perfect. I will definitely return.“

“Food is good, entrees are priced well but appetizers are very expensive - $30 for a small calamari. We ordered one entree (feeds 3) and one appetizer with no drinks and it was $90 after 20% tip for two people. Good food, just not quite worth the price.“

“First time in this place and the place looks like a fairytale with the tree in the middle of the dining. The bar is everywhere is well lit. Service though, is just okay. We felt like we are being rushed by taking our plates and drinks when there's still food on the plates. The drinks are spectacular, pricey but you can taste the alcohol the food is amazing too. We got the brunch pre-fixed. I think for the value of the courses, it's better of to get al carte.“
