“we were lucky to have our baby shower at casa de pizza and joel and eddie are amazing owners. i was getting overwhelmed looking for venues and catering our baby shower, and we were so grateful that casa de pizza were open to having us. from day one, eddie and joel were responsive and put together a really nice menu with a drink package that was EXTREMELY REASONABLE for pricing. the baby shower itself was fantastic - pizza was solid, the pitchers were flowing, and the antipasto salad, wings, and lasagna were delicious. joel was on the floor making sure everyone was taken care of, and i cannot tell you how nice it was to walk in, celebrate, and walk out without having to worry about a thing. they even offered to let come a little earlier to decorate which was a nice gesture.

i also wanted to mention that we live in the neighborhood and have been going to casa de pizza since before new ownership. i've felt that the pizza and pasta are still very good, so i am surprised to read that people aren't satisfied. they've made some very positive changes by opening orders up for online and pick up. if you OG customers remember, we'd all have to fight each other calling the phone line just to get an order in, and it'd take us a solid 20 minutes of hearing the busy tone before getting someone to take our order, wait an hour, then pick it up. change is scary because it's new, but i feel like eddie and joel honor the tradition and respect of what casa de pizza was meant to be - your neighborhood pizza parlor.

“Bacari Sherman Oaks was the most incredible dining experience I have had in a very long time. It was more than just great food. The staff at Sherman Oaks created a complete experience with ambiance, fantastic service, and creative dishes to choose from.

The ambiance is energetic yet relaxed, and the Mediterranean-inspired small plates are incredibly creative and fun to share. Every dish we tried was outstanding. Our server, I believe her name was Mallery, was absolutely fantastic. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and attention to detail elevated an already amazing meal into something truly special.

Congratulations to the Bacari team for building something so unique. Bacari delivers an experience well beyond great food. I will enthusiastically recommend Bacari to everyone I know who visits Los Angeles, and I'll definitely be back when I'm in town.

“What an incredible hidden gem! We were craving Italian food and decided to check out Al Italiano. Walked in on a Tuesday night a little before closing. Eddie and the owner Robert greeted us warmly. The menu has some great options and we were indecisive what to order. Our waiter Eddie is a first class professional and answered all our questions with patience and in details. His recommendations were amazing. We ordered Eggplant Parmesan, Veal Piccata, Children’s cheese pizza, Salumiere pizza and their homemade Tiramisu. Everything was excellent and so tasty. The whole experience at Al Italiano was outstanding and unforgettable. Robert is a great business owner who actually cares and treats you like family. His whole staff is very respectful and helpful. Started with the fresh fruit bowl , simply put fresh generous and delicious and a great way to wake up the taste buds for what was about to come

Tiramisu French toast .. unbelievably good, this was so delicious without being overly sweet, photo worthy beautiful presented and a star in its own right, it’s a must try

The Piccante breakfast sandwich - my new favourite breakfast sando , the Italian sausage beautifully seasoned, eggs light and fluffy with the Calabrian chilli’s sweetish subtle heat and the peppery arugula it’s comforting, delicious and a meal all on its own

Carbonara pizza - didn’t need it but ordered it anyway ! In house made base, light, crispy and the perfect base for the shredded mozzarella pancetta, parmigiana, black pepper and the most perfectly poached egg sitting in the middle, we had a slice each and boxed up the rest but just like everything else we tried , sensational

“We went to the coolest little Italian place in the valley for Valentine's on a total whim. The entire place was themed, they had a fun violinist, the wait staff wore Valentine's glasses & vests, they had pink and red lights on the palm trees out front, heart shaped straws... it was so quirky and fun. Service was awesome, like the staff was actually having a good time and glad we were there. The food was AWESOME quality... everything homemade down to the freshly baked heart shaped bread. I don't recall if we've ever really 'celebrated' Valentine's day but going to this restaurant made it feel like an actual holiday. So fun and cute. Also, the prices & portions! “First, I want to say that the restaurant is located in a beautiful area. Walking around the neighborhood was incredibly enjoyable and made the whole experience even better.

When it comes to the restaurant itself, I honestly don't have enough words to describe how amazing it was. I found out that the pasta is handmade rather than pre-made, and it's brought fresh from Italy every evening. That surprised me and made dining there even more special.

The pasta I ordered was prepared with white wine. The portion looked a bit small at first, but it was very filling and absolutely delicious.

I would also like to give special recognition to the manager. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, energetic, and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit. We were even treated to a delicious pasta that wasn't yet on the menu, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I will definitely come back just for that pasta!

Everything was excellent—the atmosphere, the people, the food, and the service. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The pizza is delicious. A crunchy chewy crust throughout that makes you want to dip those crusts and a not too sweet sauce. While greasy, the pepperoni and cheese taste great and the ratio of toppings is perfect. Even the flat parts of curust offer a little crunch as you bite. I'm not an expert by any means but my wife who technically came from Brooklyn as a wee lass gives it a stamp of approval. If I recall correctly we had a couple slices ages ago here and the white pie should not be missed.“

Started out with appetizer little pieces of bread with seasoning and the marinara sauce you can tell was absolutely homemade delicious
The olive oil oil was and bread matched that of the quality of Italy
the Branzino fish dish was absolutely amazing. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. The carrots were delicious.
My family ordered the medallion steaks were also exceptional
The chicken dish and the seafood pasta was also as good as the rest of the dishes

For dessert, the tiramisu and the tart with vanilla ice cream and the dark chocolate tropics were to die for

“I’ve driven past this location on CA-27 dozens of times and always told myself I needed to stop in, so my partner and I finally booked a table last night. Honestly, I’m kicking myself for waiting this long to try it. Walking in, the dim ambient lighting and upscale linen tables set a highly sophisticated yet unpretentious tone. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp, and she got the lasagna; the pasta was cooked to an absolute perfect al dente, and the cream sauce was remarkably rich without being overly heavy. The service was formal and highly polished, though the kitchen did run just a tiny bit slow right at the peak 7:30 PM dinner rush. It’s an absolute hidden treasure in Chatsworth, and the premium quality of ingredients completely justifies the price.“

“Food is always good here and service as well. I love the endless soup with their meals. Lunch time is a great bargain. Wish they'd have have the option of the sandwiches coming on Italian bread than just all on the bread sticks but they are still pretty good for the price. I go for the meatball sand because it's a cheaper bargain price and I thought it was much better tasting than the chicken sandwich which was about the same as you'd get at Burger King. My wife and I come to Olive Garden mostly when they have the GET ONE TAKE ONE HOME DEAL. Can't beat that. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because all their chicken is not that good and is the same yuck kind you can get at any fast food joint. The meatballs are great. But then if you want to add them to you spaghetti dinner, they charge an extra $3 for 3 meatballs or sausage even. Then that makes spaghetti & meatballs come to about $16 and that is overpriced imo. On some visits the spaghetti sauce is caked with thick tomato slices in it and no other options because it's all made that day. Some days the sauce is more meaty and then the next visit tons of too much tomato slices and it's all watery. Also, being a bigger guy, almost every time we've been here, it's been a bit embarrassing being seated at booths that don't fit me and then having to move and I think the host or hostess should know better and know their tables. Otherwise this is a place we go to for lunch and only for dinner when they have the buy one take one home deal.“

“We had dinner last night at Trattoria to celebrate my little daughter’s birthday, and it was such a beautiful experience. Even though the restaurant was busy, the manager truly went above and beyond to make sure my daughter felt special on her big day.

He took the time to check on us, made her feel important, and added such a personal touch to the evening. It meant so much to us as parents to see her so happy and excited.

“I had heard so many great things about this restaurant and how famous it was, so I decided to make the trip out to Studio City and see what all the hype was about for myself.
We arrived at around 1:00 PM. Parking was street parking only, but fortunately it wasn’t too difficult to find a spot. The restaurant seemed busy, but not overwhelmingly crowded. There were about four parties ahead of us on the waitlist, so we assumed the wait would be fairly reasonable.
After waiting for about 20 minutes, I asked the host how much longer it would take, and I was surprised when I was told the wait would be another hour and a half. At that point, we were ready to leave. However, as soon as we said we were going to go elsewhere, they asked whether we would be willing to sit at the bar and immediately found seats for us.
What made this frustrating was that once we got inside, I noticed there were actually quite a few empty seats available. Personally, I don’t like restaurants that seem to create an artificial sense of scarcity or use questionable waitlist tactics. First impressions matter, and this experience left a negative impression on me. For that reason alone, I probably would not return.
As for the food, it was decent but not particularly memorable. The portions were surprisingly small. There were five of us, and we ended up ordering nine dishes because the serving sizes were so modest. Nothing tasted bad, but nothing really stood out either. It felt like food I’ve had at many other restaurants before—good enough, but not unique enough to justify all the hype.
We also ordered two plates of the famous carbonara because so many people recommended it. To be honest, I’m still not sure why it’s so highly praised. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the kind of dish that would have me thinking about it days later or planning a return visit just to order it again.
The biggest highlight of the experience was actually the service. The gentleman working behind the bar was exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, efficient, and seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even had to ask. His professionalism and positive attitude significantly improved our overall experience. Great service has a way of elevating a meal, and he absolutely deserves recognition for that.
The atmosphere itself was pleasant, and the location has a nice vibe. Since we only ended up waiting about 20 minutes before being seated at the bar, the experience was manageable. However, if I had actually waited the hour and a half that I was initially quoted for this meal, my answer would be a definite no.

Overall, the food was fine, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. But considering the small portions, the underwhelming dishes, and the questionable handling of the waitlist, I personally don’t think the experience justified the reputation or the potential wait time. There are simply too many great restaurants in Los Angeles for me to spend 90 minutes waiting for a meal like this again.“
