“OH wow! What a hidden gem! The staff is warm, helpful & they welcome you the minute you set foot inside. Impeccably clean, great music, & romantic vibe. The service was amazing & food was served reasonably fast. House made pasta with my dish was so flavorful. I practically licked my plate clean. The server checks up on you. Asks if you have any questions & was super attentive. Not to mention offered a extra glass of wine on the house. The coconut flan dessert was so delicious & yummy!“
“Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were seated in a spacious booth in the back where it was more quiet and cozy. The server was great, she waited on us superbly, and was very nice. The food was amazing, I had their Branzino entree and a watercress-hearts of palm-avocado-Parmesan salad. So tasty! My husband tried their mushroom soup, and one of their chicken entrees. Then they brought a cute lighted birthday cake for him!! It was divine!“
“Great food and cocktails! It's a pretty casual place hidden in West Adams. Just a short 10 min walk for me to get there. We enjoyed all the dishes except a 30+ min wait before the lamb chop came out which was really strange, but totally delicious. The date cake was yummy & they comped another dessert for the wait. The patio seating is in decomposed granite so my black flats are now brown but it was easy enough to brush off.“
“Parking is tough here but if you want the Amoroso rolls, wiz wit full experience, this is the only spot in southern California that can provide it IMO. Was a little salty but as a black cherry soda and a water, no worries. You'll polish a full one off in seconds.“
“Had a wonderful time. Great wine choices. Food was superb, but a little pricey. Definitely can find same quality of food for less in LA, but I still highly recommend this fun and happening restaurant. If you like great food, great wine, and LA hip restaurants...this place should be on your hit list.“
“I had a great date night experience at Fia. The service from the waiters to the host and hostesses were excellent. I felt welcomed and everyone was very happy to be of service. The food, drinks, and ambiance was also amazing. I will definitely be back!“
“This was our first visit to Mother Wolf. We have previously enjoyed dining at Felix, Chef Funke’s intimate trattoria in Venice. Entering Mother Wolf’s grand, soaring space, one would not expect the warmth of service which smaller venues are able to provide. To our pleasant surprise, the service at Mother Wold was outstanding, with a polished and professional (and friendly) staff endeavoring to provide a level of culinary execution and attentiveness one would expect at Michelin starred venues. Our server, Julia Tanase, was superb, a highly skilled professional (with a deep knowledge of the Chef’s cooking) clearly dedicated to providing gracious customer service. It is clear that Mother Wolf has invested in an experienced management team. Roy Morales, the manager in charge of the restaurant on the night of our visit (a full capacity Saturday night), seemed to be everywhere, keeping a careful eye on each table and closely monitoring the interaction of staff and guests. It was like watching the conductor of a philharmonic, focused on every note. Mr. Morales introduced himself to our table and discreetly asked if he could be of assistance. A restaurant of this magnitude could not function at such a high level without such experienced and skilled professionals at the helm.As to the cuisine, notwithstanding the volume at which Mother Wolf operates (275 seats), the foundation of Chef Funke’s cuisine remains an obsession with the quality of the raw materials - the fish, meat, and vegetables are impeccable - the pristine nature of the products resonate on the plates. At Ms. Tanasae’s suggestion, we began with a selection of appetizers, including the blue prawns in a fragrant salsa verde, ethereally delicate ricotta filled squash blossoms and rich risotto croquettes. Each appetizer was sublime. We then shared a pizza “Quattro Fomaggi”, a thin crusted marvel with a perfect, tangy crust reflecting its slow fermented dough. We followed the pizza with two of Chef Funke’s signature pastas, a Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe and a Rigatoni with Oxtail Ragu. Each was delicious. Mother Wolf’s pasta is outstanding, comparable to the renowned pasta at Rome’s legendary Roscioli and Armando al Pantheon. We then shared the prime ribeye (accompanied by addictive potatoes and a refreshing arugula salad), a richly marbled aged steak perfectly cooked.Desserts were delicious, including a refined Baba al Rum and an elegant Tiramisu.I note that the wine list at Mother Wolf’s seems out of synch with Chef Funke’s soulful cooking. There are few choices under $100 and the selections and producers are disappointing. In contrast, the original wine list at Felix was distinguished for both its producers and value. Hopefully, the wine selection at Mother Wolf will evolve to offer a wider range of price points and more diverse and value oriented selections from Italy’s artisanal producers. This was a memorable dining experience. It is a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday or special occasion. Mother Wolf provides a spectacular framework in which the extraordinary cuisine of Chef Funke can be fully appreciated. Given the scale of the restaurant, the execution of both the kitchen and service team is nothing short of remarkable. Kudos to Chef Funke and his management team.“
“It's the most delicious pasta I've had at La.Especially gnocchi and ink pasta? I highly recommend the same thing.I want to eat it againThe downside is that you can't make a reservation and parking is difficult, but it's still a place I want to go to again. The price wasn't as expensive as I thought.Downtown authentic restaurant“
“Great slices and great customer service. Might be the best crust in LA. I heard they use something like 27 different flours or something wild. Whatever it is, the attention to detail really shines through. You can tell it’s special just looking at it, but biting in, it’s obviously special. Incredible flavor throughout. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. I’m even tempted to try some of the vegan stuff ??♂️“
“Super!! Had fantastic dining experience at this lovely Italian in West Hollywood. Roast risotto, baby beetroot with goat cheese for starters. Both excellent. Mains of Mushroom Pinsa (with great wild mushrooms) and lasagne. Dessert was tiramisu- totally top. Good wine list. Nice to see the Nebbiolo grape well represented. The people working here are so nice. I’m sure the management know how lucky they are to have such fine staff! In summary, I totally recommend this fine establishment. Suggest you make a reservation as it’s v popular and rightly so.“
“if the pizzas were meant to be shared, I didn't get that memo ? it's the 2nd time I've devoured the Diavola entirely - it is SO incredibly tasty, savory, juicy, spicy.. and the dough! omg.. chewy perfection ?? I've only ordered for pickup - it's a tiny space - a few barstools facing the oven & 4-5 tables as you walk in.. they always look cozy & happy! ?“
“Their aperol spritzes are by far the best I’ve ever had, their Happy Hour is the best around, and their meat and cheese plate is next level—don’t skip the mortadella! Amazing service, great atmosphere, very casual and still upscale. The arts district is lucky to have Propaganda. They validate 2 hours of parking in the Aliso lot, too!Wheelchair accessibility: Flat, no steps“
“We booked a reservation for inside, they were running behind. Francesca who was hosting immediately greeted us with a glass of champagne complementary and apologized for the wait. Classy and professional. The food is always outstanding. Love this place!“
“I would give 6 stars if that were possible! The food at Dante is consistently incredible, and the service is outstanding! I was here with a group a few weeks ago and we had such a wonderful experience. The staff really goes above and beyond to make it a special dining experience. 10/10 recommend! <3“
“After a comedy show, my boyfriend and I, along with friends, sought refuge from the rain at this charming spot. Valet parking for $7 saved us from the street hassle. Inside, we enjoyed tasty Old Fashioneds and Margaritas. The bell peppers stuffed with tuna were delicious, and the shared burger and fries were top-notch. Attentive service and a quirky horse video near the restroom added to the experience. Overall, a delightful post-show dining choice.“
“The first time we were in a restaurant, the place was just at the entrance. We ordered pasta (it was very tasty), bruschetta (not tasty at all, the tomatoes were cheap, no taste). And for dessert we ordered tiramisu (they prepare it themselves), a lot of cream, cloying, you can’t taste the coffee. Service very “
“This was a first time dining experience in Cali…I recommend the restaurant 100%! They were a busy place indeed. The staff is so friendly, and we came in with a reservation and showed early. The hostess checked in with each person waiting to be seated multiple times-you don’t see that very much in most places. A good vibe inside and the atmosphere is nice also. Even though we were early, we still did have to wait almost 15min beyond our rez to be seated but, we were delighted when they offered to bring us an appetizer because they were sorry we had to wait so long. Awesome tasting food and they serve breakfast and lunch as well daily.“
“Before we went, I read the reviews to find out the largest complaints and prepare for them. But actually our experience was pretty much perfect. We didn’t have to wait much at all (15 min) when we arrived at 7pm on Saturday. This was lucky. The queue very quickly filled while we waited. Some reviews said hostesses were unfriendly—not true at all for us. Others didn’t enjoy their pizza. But we ordered the Sicilian and white pizzas and loved them. They were even good after they cooled down. You should expect a hefty pizza though! It’s not a thin crust pizza. Between two people we had two pizzas and the Caesar salad. This was the perfect amount of food. We also tried two non alcoholic beverages, a wine and a beer. The beer is shockingly good and you cannot tell it has no alcohol. Everyone we interacted with was friendly. The person at the counter who took our order stood out. He was communicative, accommodating, and welcoming. This is a place I am sure we will frequent ?We left around 9:30pm and there was a long line out the door of people waiting. Reservations are recommended.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options are available.“
“The best of the place was desserts; I ask for waffles with strawberry and it came whit the half of a strawberry in slides. Very expensive for that quantity of fruit. The avocado toast was guacamole toast, do'nt like either.Nice place, nice service.“
“Owned by Caitlin and Daniel Cutler Ronan serves Neapolitan Pizza that eschews tradition in favor of local Produce and Proteins inside an understated space with a patio on Melrose.Opened in 2018 and surviving the pandemic with take-out, 2023 adding Sunday Brunch to nightly Dinner service, it is after eyes adjust to the darkened interior that diners sit in posh booths perusing a menu of inspired plates, Pies, biodynamic Wines and Cocktails. In many ways a neighborhood Pizzeria, assuming the neighborhood is attuned to Wood-Oven Pizzas featuring a bubbly Crust with lots of char and chewiness, New Year’s Eve found Ronan offering Caviar in several styles including as an addition to fluffy Focaccia served piping-hot alongside Cultured Butter.Varying the menu seasonally, Brunch additionally quite different from Dinner, Pizzas arrive coursed out in no less than twenty minutes with Margherita expectedly excellent as a result of imported Tomatoes, Basil an Mozz plus a bit of Pecorino. Also featuring a black marble bar within earshot of the oven, perfect for solo diners or couples wanting to watch Dough stretched and fired, Brunch’s Green Eggs & Ham riffs on Dr. Seuss with Mortadella and Ricotta plus a runny Organic Egg while “A Tuscan Winter” puts locally grown Japanese Persimmons on display amidst a backdrop of local Honey and Squash Blossoms.“
“Surprise, surprise the best Tuscan sandwich in town. Their Schiacciata is superior to Antico Vinaio's and the sandwich ingredient combinations are more balanced than Tre-Mani. The Monday-Tuesday all day pasta is another great option.“
“Everything about our experience was amazing. From the food to the service. We are making plans to return very soon. Ambiance and decors were beautiful and good was casual yet very elevated. This is definitely a place that we will frequent often.“
“Pretty awesome and amazing entrance setup in their cafe when it comes to those delectable patisserie section. We got in a bit before our reservation time and were seated ( get a reservation before hopping in there) right away. Jessica was our host and walked us through the options and answered our questions around the popular options, patisserie section etc and we placed our order. We got the Tartufo Pizza ( it looks big but is good for 2-3 hungry folks) along with the Louie salad ( pretty amazing) and a couple of coffees. The pizza was delicious and is a very unique concept with a floating egg yolk spread carefully on the top. The salad was great as well and added as just the perfect side to the pizza.Once done with our main course, we were ready for the desert and ordered a Chocolate and Hazelnut Beignet along with an Almond, Psitachio, Cherry cake ( you would want to witness its presentation for a while before you devour it ).All in all a great experience though when paying the bill I was rushed a bit into signing the EMV chip reader machine and the tips there start from 25% at a default ( so take your time and pay unless you intend to pay 25% in tips) on top of which there is also a surcharge fees of 5% that is already charged to the bill.PS: Shoutout to Bailey as well who was helping us on our table alongside Jessica as well and catered to our requests so very well.Cheers!!!“
“For starters, I’ve never been much of a wine drinker UNTIL I found this place and now I’m hooked. The owner Ian is the nicest guy. The service, the vibe, the FOOD, and of course the WINE are all soooo good. Great spot to hang with friends for a fun night. Especially in dtla!“
“If Italian restaurants in Italy can have a gluten free pasta option then so can Bacetti. Time to get with the 21st century. Other than that, the atmosphere was amazing, as was the wine by the glass selection. Don’t bother trying to find street parking though, go straight for the valet—I wasted 10 minutes thinking I’d find something. Gratuity of 20% is included in your bill but expect average LA service that will provide service at their convenience.“
“Okay, here we go...Awesome entry because the hostess was warm and welcoming. She took me to a spot and communicated to me along the path. Great atmosphere and my presence was great. The server was phenomenal in all aspects of the journey. She was pleasant, engaging and comforting in this wide open space. We started with cocktails and she forgave my original drink without a question and replaced it with what I really wanted. Okay, enough with the niceties...the Eggplant Parm was awesome. Heat throughout the dish, fresh Eggplant and and awesome flavor. Round two...was a little tricky. I wanted to try the veal and that wasn't going to happen because they ran out...okay, now what? Chicken Parm w/luiguine pasta. No luiguine but, they had spaghetti. Okay, let's see. Well, first she came with her selection of red wine...homerun. Then, bases loaded, tied game and bottom of the ninth...I won't flinch. She comes to the plate, ready to swing and there it is...a grand slam. Beautifully laid out with a creamy based marinara, nice portion of this spaghetti and a great red wine...clearly exceeded my expectations...nice job and I'm coming back for more. Don't discount the fact that I brought the same dish home and my friend lived it...we will be back. Thanks and I wish you the best luck I can offer to a new upstart restaurant...it's not easy and God bless...“
“Was für ein fantastischer Abend! Als Auslandsösterreicher auf Urlaub in LA und im Spago's zu Gast... Herausragender Service, unglaublich kreative Küche und dann noch Wolfgang Puck persönlich da, um sich um die Gäste zu kümmern... Es könnte nicht besser sein. Ein wunderschöner Abend, der noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird! Vielen Dank, bis zum nächsten Mal!“
“Waiter tried to imply we didn't order enough. Not my first time there, I know what I wanted. The Mexican guy who picked up the dishes and plates was super nice and even remembered us from our last time here. "It's a pleasure to have you back again". Made me and girlfriend feel welcomed.“
“Our experience at this restaurant was top notch. The food was excellent, but the service was perfect. They were so nice and accommodating. It was literally the best restaurant for kids, even though they don't have a children's menu! They offered half portions of pasta for our kids, and made a special "plain" dish for my picker eater. They also were very patient and helpful in dealing with a food allergy. Casual dress was just fine, although the interior and the food feel "fancy." The location is extremely convenient (just around the corner) if you are staying at the SLS hotel. Highly recommended.“
“If your looking for good food, good atmosphere, great people, Stop what you doing and go.. The lines are out the door, The food is spectacular ?Sorry to all the sub restaurants ?Amazing ?down.Kid-friendliness: Great music, great atmosphere great smiles for childrenWheelchair accessibility: No steps.“
“Wow. Amazing in every way. High end pasta joint with delicious food. Everything we had had us licking our fingers. Love the aesthetics, love the wine and the service was pretty good. The vibe is perfect for a casual date night, it’s not super fancy and the food is aimed to please the foodies of LA. High end food low key hipster vibes. Open late for dinner service“
“We were given a gift card as a Christmas present and was excited to eat at this restaurant. It did not disappoint. The restaurant was beautiful and they played awesome music. Service was really good and the food was outstanding! We will definitely go back.“
“This is a great spot. Definitely a tight fit so my friend and I were lucky to grab a table, but enjoyed the experience. Waitstaff is knowledgeable and the menu and willing to provide recs and explain things. The warm ricotta dip with a grilled ciabatta is magic“
“Delicious evening. Many extra courses in the tasting menu, lots of extra black truffles on many dishes. Both of the servers were super knowledgeable and friendly. The table next to us was a loud couple with a dude on his phone a lot and that was the single negative part of our evening. An amazing birthday experience. Thanks, guys!“
“The food was excellent. The service was very spotty; we got a very sparse serving of bread with no butter or olive oil until we had to ask for it! When we wanted more bread it took 20 minutes to get it. The place is very noisy and hard to hear people next to you. Also, they do not take cash, which was not mentioned until we got our bill. 0j“
“This Michelin-starred Italian restaurant is famous in Los Angeles and easy to book a table. The decoration is a bit retro and old-school. It is also suitable for celebrations and dates. However, the business is too busy and the seats are too close, so it is a bit noisy~The appetizers were very good, and I highly recommend ordering the Nancy's Caesar (picture 5 looks ordinary but is super delicious!)There are many blind spots in pasta items, but there are no mistakes. The only thing I didn’t recommend was the fish steak❌For dessert, the tiramisu is very special and has a different appearance and texture than anything I have ever tasted before. It is very delicious and a must-try!?Per capita: 100+USDThere is also their pizza restaurant next doorI heard it’s pretty awesome too. “Such a lovely place! My friend just moved to the neighborhood and we tried El Morfi out on his first night. So wonderful! The empanadas and sangria were particularly delicious. Though you really can't go wrong with anything you order. Definitely recommend!“
“Can’t say enough about how great this place is! What a gem! Brunello Trattoria is a lovely family business that takes great care to put out delicious food! They always provide fresh, hot bread when you sit down and you can tell the food is made with love. Came here a few months ago and met the owner who is such a good guy and a character! His kids are both wonderful too. Best of all, the food is fantastic. I hope they stay in business for a long long time because I’ll be back!“
“Really amazing kabobs!Got the combo platter (chicken, shish, and luleh) and it was more than enough to feed two! Came with your choice of appetizer as well. We opted for the hummus and NGL, it was 10/10. Spreadable, delicious, and light. The veggies on the platter are roasted tomatoes and jalapeños. Perfection. If you love garlic, that garlic sauce is ~~ CHEFS KISS. Worth that $0.75 extra. Spread it on everything.A little bit of a wait for the food is a given so don’t be impatient. Our wait was only 15-20 mins. We dined in.Totally worth. We’re from out of town and it was our first time there. The lady who took our order was so kind and took her time explaining the different items and sizes.Definitely coming back next time we’re in the area!“
“Couldn’t fault it. Wait service was very good. Food was incredibly tasty with good portion size. Octopus and focaccia to start, Pork with aubergine, and beef ravioli - would definitely go back again. Atmosphere was great, awesome rooftop bar for pre or post drinks too.“
“LOVE the torta Nona. They said they needed more business and I've tried posting on social media/tagging them but don't respond/share/maximize the word of mouth. Hoping they find ways to draw in that business! We're missing out if we don't have them on this block! Only gave it four Stars for atmosphere because it's on a busy street and it's pretty difficult to cross either on foot or in a car.“
“Super cute restaurant, lots of greenery which made the outdoor area refreshing & a very chic backdrop for photos. The service was great, our waiter was attentive and friendly. I ended up ordering the squid ink pasta which was good but not the best. Flavor-wise the pasta sauce just seemed bland but I do like spicy and/or more salty foods so that may have played a part in things.. the prices are also reasonable so I did enjoy things.“
“3.5/5 This place has been on our list for a few months now after discovering it on social media. We came here on Valentine's Day after I made a reservation a week prior for outdoor seating (indoor reservation was not available for prime dinner hours when I looked). Their outdoor seating is ok. It did have heat lamps which was nice, however I'm not the biggest fan of sitting in the parklet barrier patios which have you sitting like 5 feet from zooming cars on the street. For some reason I was expecting either sidewalk seating or a back patio. I should have done my research. Our server was friendly and the timeliness of everything coming out from drinks, to apps, to bigger plates was perfect. Nothing rushed or slow. We did really enjoy our cocktails which is why I pushed my initial review from a 3 to a 4, however I found everything to be fairly overpriced. For the two of us, the cost was well over $220 with the tip. It was nice that we got to try some different foods, but the portions often were tiny for a high price point. I understand the location being in Los Feliz and LA in general, but this is just more so of a warning/disclaimer. I enjoyed the Pincanha steak. I thought the steak sauce that accompanied it was really tasty. The biggest disappointment to me was that I was under the impression that this place has *live* Brazilian funk music every Wednesday which is why after dinner we walked inside to see if we could grab a drink and check it out, but when I asked an employee, she said it was just a vinyl record. Not sure if this was just for that night, or if I misunderstood, but I just felt like that didn't really make this place all *too* special in the end. For the price point, I'd only stick to this place for a drink or two and move on.“
“Simply incredible. This is one place I try to make detours to visit when I can, so I guess that's worth two Michelin Stars. Incredibly diverse menu, top tier ingredients, cooked perfectly; and it's not greasy so you can enjoy much more delicious pizza!“
“If you're looking for that classic, old school family-style Italian dinner in LA, Donna's is the way to go. They have a lot of the classics like pasta Ragu, chicken Parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, veal picatta, etc. But they also bring a new age flare to some dishes like the lasagna Rollatini (think lasagna but instead of horizontal layers you get tight pinwheels of meaty, salty, cheesy goodness!) and fussili a la vodka with whipped ricotta. The restaurant itself does remind me of a Brooklyn-based Italian mom & pop restaurant with a checkerboard floor. It's a pretty small venue which is probably why it's so hard to get a reservation (you gotta book 1 - 2 weeks in advance at 10 AM on Rezy). This does make for a more intimate dining experience which is nice. We started with the garlic bread. Oh my god this was the best garlic bread I have ever had. The outer crust was so crisp and crunchy. Covered in parmigiano cheese. The inside was perfectly fluffy and so garlicky and buttery. I could not stop eating this bread I was genuinely considering ordering a second. Next we got the Caesar salad which was divine. Perfectly dressed with a fresh dressing and again served with tons of parmigiano. As a group of 3, we got 3 entrees in addition to those starters to share. We chose the chicken Parmesan, the lasagna Rollatini, and the pork ragu. The chicken parm was crunchy on the outside and loaded with cheese. The lasagna was fantastic, my only critique was that it was a pretty small dish but one bite of it was very rich. The pasta sheets were thin, arranged in pretty vertical pinwheels, and there was lots of meaty sauce in between all the layers. The pasta ragu was so good. Perfectly cooked al dente pasta topped with a rich pork ragu sauce. The service was great, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. My only critique was the dessert. The carrot cake was not moist and had a very citrusy flavor which was not what I was expecting. And the cannolis tasted stale. I would skip dessert but otherwise, enjoy a fantastic dinner at Donna's!“
“The restaurant is located on the second floor of Nerano in Beverly Hills (you have to take an elevator up to the second floor through Nerano). This gives the spot kind of a fun speakeasy feel to it. When you get out of the elevator, you walk into a beautifully designed / decorated, cozy, albeit slightly quirky space. It's not large (I think the capacity is 34). Came here for a food event, which I did a review for separately, but this experience in particular was grabbing a drink at the bar. (I did think the food was delicious though and urge folks to come here and give this place a try. I know I want to come back and try more menu items.) The bar is beautifully designed and organized. I found myself perusing and mentally cataloguing the whiskeys as I always do when I go to new restaurants. But this place looked like a place that has fun cocktails. So I ordered The George Michael. The drinks here are really interactive, and the bartenders are super enthusiastic to the point that it's infectious. My drink in particular had some bowls that floated up and you had to catch it with a paddle. Flavor wise it was like espresso martini with a peanut butter twist to it. All in all this place is a great place to grab drinks and/or food. Lots of fun. There's a lot of street parking nearby, but it could get challenging especially during the weekends. I came in the middle of the week and was able to find parking about a block away.“
“Great atmosphere. Hip hop & pop music. Great vibe. Friendly staff. Server and other staff members were very patient and informative about the menu & wines. Food was good. If you order garlic bread request extra butter, delicious ?.“
“My wife and I just had our 4 year wedding anniversary at Bacari W 3rd. Could not have picked a better place! The semi-private garden area was perfect for our 30 person event, beautifully setup with personalized touches for our party. The service was impeccable and the food and drinks were outstanding. Everyone had such a great time!“
“I want to love this place, killer ambiance. Attentive staff.. creative menu.. squash blossoms are amazing.. pasta is very lackluster, I would give it 3 stars at best. Thick overly doughy noodles, sauce lacking flavor. I have eaten all over Italy and I would not even ask it to be on par with that, I have had mom and pops in America with better pasta. Passionfruit gelato was amazing.“
“We loved this place and it will be a regular rotation spot for us. We had the Chicken Lasagna and the Portobello Marsala Chicken, both were very good, we also had crab cakes which were good. The service was excellent as well and they seem to have a good flow to everything. I've lived in the area for 2 years and tried a few places around and this is definitely the best. I loved that they didn't cram every guest in to tables next to each other and gave us space where they could, more places need need to take note of that.“
