“This is the go to restaurant when staying in LA. Food is always perfect. Service is exceptional, and honestly made to feel like family. After an amazing meal Bruce and Rene treated us to the most exquisite desserts that were truely to die for. This was the dining highlight of our US trip from Scotland and the best genuine hospitality we've experienced. Well done to all involved, wish you weren't 5000 miles away from where we live. It's exactly what you want in a meatball sandwich Love the food here. There is also a little Italian market attached to the restaurant that has lots of good stuff and a little deli as well“

“Wow! We love this place. We've been coming for years, and it keeps getting better! Probably because Kristi has been supervising for a long time. Our wonderful server Steph has great ideas to bring enjoyment up a notch. It's hard to beat Endless Soup, Salad & Breadsteaks for light eaters. There's a 1/2 pound breaded shrimp appetizer that makes a full meal for me, with still some to take home! The meals are BIG here, so Mike takes 2/3 chicken Marsala or Lasagna home! There's a new deal that's great: a regular meal for $17, including endless S&S, and you get another (smaller) meal to take home. Best New discovery: usual restaurant butter is cold & solid in a wrapper, impossible to enjoy. Olive G offers melted butter! Wonderful! Dip your breadsticks! Superb! We'll tell you about the unique begnet desert next time.“

“Even though this place is nowhere near my house, I have to go every year to buy the ingredients for my family sauce. Genuinely the best spot to get real Italian ingredients. The pricing is reasonable, the selection is outstanding, and the service is perfection. It's a tradition!“

“This place is an institution and it is very good but not going to be your typical sub shop you likely are expecting. They are CASH ONLY, and all their subs coming with the same ingredients, no lettuce. The pickles, onions, and tomatoes are not slices, they are chopped up and literally scooped up and place on the sub. It is delicious and they are very large portions, just not typical, know before you go! Try something different, you may like it!“

“Fantastic, fantastic New York-style pizza in a batting cage in Burbank!!! OMG. Hey, you can’t get this on Door Dash. Phone it in, Phiolks! We arrived 10 minutes after our pick up-up time (flying in from Seattle and the Bay Area), and the chef put the pizzas back into the pizza oven to make sure they were piping hot. Delicious! Highest recommendation!“

“First time here yesterday and happy to keep coming back, had the hot pastrami sub and it was seriously good loved the mayo mustard combo with chopped tomato onion and pickles combined and layered generously over the whole sub Also had the Tonys special sub .. lots of fresh and tasty deli meats mortadella hams salamis and again the in-house mustard mayo combo .. awesome sandwich For a side I had the bow tie pasta which was cooked al dente with plenty of the marinated artichoke hearts and a great authentic Italian feel and flavour As this had now developed into leftovers for dinner given the size of it all I took us home a tiramisu for dessert later, and as with everything else well worth the eating Opened in 1979 and still going strong .. it’s easy to see why“
