“Tucked between Chinatown and Pilsen, Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle is a sensory detour from the usual noodle scene. The star here is the “crossing the bridge” rice noodle experience—a bubbling bowl of broth served with a parade of fresh ingredients you drop in yourself. It’s interactive, comforting, and surprisingly fun, like hot pot’s quieter, more elegant cousin.
The pork bone broth is a standout—rich, milky, and deeply savory. The noodles are silky and springy, and the add-ins (sliced beef, mushrooms, quail eggs, tofu skin) arrive fresh and thoughtfully portioned. For spice lovers, the hot and sour soup hits with tang and heat without overwhelming the palate.
Appetizers like spicy cucumber and shrimp wontons round out the meal with punchy flavor and texture. The space is clean and modern, and service is quick but friendly—ideal for a solo lunch or casual dinner with friends.
It’s not flashy, but it’s quietly excellent. If you’re craving something cozy, customizable, and just a little different, Ten Seconds delivers in under ten.“

“I enjoy eating alone, and I happened to stop by this place ~ they had a 1-person lunch special! The spring rolls were delicious, and the combination bowl was amazing. The Thai tea that came with it wasn’t too sweet (I got it without boba) just perfect for my taste. The portion was very generous (I even had leftovers to take home), and every single ingredient tasted fresh and flavorful. I was honestly surprised to get such a great lunch at this price.
Highly recommend!“

“The beef noodle soup was super delicious and was enough to feed me and my mother. It contained tone of meat which was really tender and the broth was overall phenomenal. The popcorn chicken was also really good as it wasn’t too big and served as a great snack I would highly recommend coming here.“

“Such a hidden gem, our go to place. The staff is always sweet and accommodating of customizations to make vegetarian friendly sushi. Healthy size portions. Love all the other veggie options, especially the“crispy garlic tofu” appetizer but PLEASE bring back the old recipe, the new thicker tempura on it is chewy and unpleasant.“

“Braised beef noddle soup, dumplings in chili oil, house made dumplings, everything was fresh and delicious. The spice amount was on the mild side but adding chili oil provided at the table can take the heat to another level. Definitely a winner!“

“The BEST noodles shop in San Diego....Period.
Super friendly and welcoming staff no matter how busy they are, and they're always busy.
The Food is excellent and different than other Chinese restaurants because it's from a different region.
Halal meat served which is a Huge plus.
Clean and organized dinning room every time we come. They have a glass window where you can see the chefs making your noodles fresh right in front of you. We always comes here and the kids love it.“

“Just keep in mind I came here on a Monday at 6 PM so we didn't have to wait for a table or battle for parking. This parking lot was not turned into a paid lot try. It's where Chorus and Hive are. It's still fairly new so the menu is slightly limited. We saw photos of dishes on the wall but were told they were not available until next year. The jjajangmyeon was slightly watery. I got the "meat" one so there were strips of grilled pork. My husband got the "spicy" one which was green chili on top. It was not crazy spicy according to him but it was not that painful spicy. We got the chili shrimp and I really liked that. It was crispy, fried jumbo shrimp over with sweet chili sauce on a bed of cabbage. It had enough heat making your lips feel some heat. I liked it even though it's not a fancy dish. If I don't have to come on a busy weekend night I'm down to come back.
Oh just be ready to order on really slow tablets but your order gets through as long you're patient with the tablets. The tables are far enough where you feel like you're not on top of each other like at other restaurants in Convoy.“

“Great local Thai food. I wish I tried this restaurant sooner. I didn’t even know it existed in this center for 3 years. Lunch specials are well priced and fulfilling.
The veg soup, spring rolls and gyoza were so fresh. Spicy noodles excellent. I like spicy food and the 5 was pretty spicy. They go 1-10, so I would probably do a 3 or 4 next time with extra spice on the side if needed.
Great for a quick bite before picking up the kids.“

“This is one of my favorite restaurants for noodles. I've tried several of their dishes (biang biang noodles, liang pi noodles, big chicken plate, stewed beef noodles, and stewed lamb noodles) and all of them were delicious. I love how the noodles are made from scratch, it's just a completely different taste and texture compared to dried noodles.“

“My childhood friend treated me to a super ono and oishi dinner. We didn't hold back and are all the wonderful da kine' grinds. Service staff was awesome and conversed with us throughout the night. Everywhere I went in San Diego, I felt the warmth of its citizens. ♥️🌊🌞“

“They missed the mark the last time I was here. The karaage was bland and soggy and the miso salmon was quite salty and tasted over cooked. The seaweed around the negitoro hzndroll tasted stale and was soggy. They have a great menu and the atmosphere. This is a really fun place to go with a group to share some dishes. Hope they can pay a bit more attention to the food coming out of the kitchen!“

“The food was absolutely phenomenal! They had both Japanese and Korean options to choose from with both of foods being executed extremely well. They had a great quantity of food with the sushi combo and bibimbap. Furthermore, they were able to accommodate substitutions within the sushi combo which is great for those with allergies. All around would recommend and will eat there again!“

“First I just want to say that it is not necessarily expected for Chinese service staff to be really friendly or accommodating, especially to white English speaking people...not because there is any intended rudeness, but because of language or cultural differences when it comes to restaurant etiquette, etc.
Having said that, the two waitresses that were on staff today were so nice and attentive and thoughtful. We loved their vibe.
This was my first time trying proper authentic Sichuan food after doing a ton of research on what to order (years of research technically, watching tons of channels on YouTube that cover this style of food), and although not every single item was made exactly as it might be traditionally made (the Fu Qi Fei Pian didn't have tongue, heart or tripe for example...it only had the thin slices of beef flank), I found that everything was very close to how it is made in China, or exactly as it should be.
We had the following (See pics with captions), and I recommend everything besides the stir fried potatoes (maybe there is a better way to get them than we did):
1. Mao Xue Wang
2. Shao Bai
3. Stir Fried Potatoes with vinegar
4. Fish & Tofu Mala (not sure of menu name)
5. Fu Qi Fei Pian
5. Special Sweet Rice Ball Soup (Dessert)
Everything tasted high quality and truly awesome. The portions were gigantic and definitely intended to be family style. We went crazy and spent $100 for the two of us, with drinks, and still had so much food left over that they had to put everything in a big cardboard box lol.
Oh and the weird looking fish eyeballs/egg soup looking thing is so strange but so lovely. We asked for a dessert and we were thinking we would get some kind of small piece of Chinese dessert like they do in America and other countries, but instead they brought out a steaming hot bowl of something I can barely describe (see pictures), but it was genuinely awesome and such a new experience for sure. Highly recommend trying it. You'll just have to see for yourself.
Can't wait to go back and try more. They have a gigantic and intriguing menu.“

“Small little place off Convoy, park off of the street as this little center has terrible parking and it's busy from early morning to closing time. This place was good, I had pork fried rice with pickled veggies and beef with veggies and some sauce. Was supposed to be spicy, but wasn't spicy for me.“

“As a gluten free person, I ordered the chicken fried rice with no soy sauce and no oyster sauce, and a passion fruit boba tea with no sugar (which tasted totally normal). I talked to a man on the phone before going and he said that the chicken fried rice was gf with no soy sauce, breading, wheat, or anything, but when I got there the server and manager had a bit of a harder time understanding me but we managed to come up with it being safe without those two sauces. I'm not celiac, but they did say they would take extra caution when preparing it. It tasted great even without any sauces on it.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free- the communication was difficult but we figured it out“

“The food is amazing, after I found this restaurant it became my go to place for Chinese food! It is a popular place and their small staff can get overwhelmed sometimes, and cause a wait, but it is always worth it!
I highly recommend stopping here if you are in town, if they are busy, that are worth the wait!“

This is a Hidden Gem+ first time here and already loving it.
Very friendly staff, very very clean, and the atmosphere makes you feel like I'm in a very expensive place.
The food was awesome, the coco shrimp was really good, the mixed fried rice was AWESOME, the beef noodles is good while it's hot. The spicy dumplings... Yeah that was very spicy but good.
Over all, yes I recommend this spot to anyone.“
