“We dined at Mandarin House Friday evening and thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience. The food was extraordinary and the staff made us feel as though we were guests in their own homes. Our two entrees were perfectly prepared with the sauces complementing the main ingredients instead of overwhelming them. The taste and texture of the accompanying vegetables were exceptional. We appreciate the attention to detail and caring attitude of the restaurant's dedicated team, and we will definitely return often.“

“Really small location but the service and portion sizes were excellent for the lunch price point. I got the spicy honey and chili chicken with a crab Rangoon appetizer. Overall the food was decent but is missing that little bit more to take it to a higher standard, but will still “

“Pretty solid Thai option for being in a grocery store parking lot. Extensive menu and everything I tried was good. Lots of interesting things to explore, beyond the typical Pad Thai. Crispy Shrimp: A fun crunchy appetizer that isn't that hefty, so won't spoil your meal. I actually prefer shrimp wrapped tightly in crispy spring roll dough more than typical shrimp breading. The sweet and sour dipping sauce is a great contrast to the rich deep fried cylinder. Khao Soi: So much comfort here with a rich coconut curry broth, thick soft noodles, crunchy noodles and a two big pieces of chicken. The chicken is bone-in, so there's a little bit of effort to pick it off with chopsticks. But it's tender, so not that hard to remove the chicken bits. Only issue is that this is so filling! I probably only ate 2/3, before I hit my max.“

“I don’t understand why this place has such low stars- this is really good thai food! They had calamari option for noodles, which tasted so good, can’t get that at many other places. Service was good and fast, this place should have more stars.“

“Decent but not amazing. we were expecting an “unassuming” low key joint per the google maps description, but it looks like the restaurant changed names and potentially decor so it’s just another bougie la jolla restaurant. We got the golden moon appetizer - don’t get that- it was trader joe’s frozen aisle level of texture and flavor. i was expecting a crispy flaky bigger buttery pastry. barely any filling inside!I got the larb chicken salad and my friend got the pan and curry. Both were good.Ended with the FBI dessert and welll….it didn’t taste as good as the description, mostly cuz why wrap the banana in egg roll skins instead of just tempura batter???“
