“Wonderful coffee and service. Got the Honduran dark roasted San Jacinto Typical and the Colombian decaf. Excellent delivery service and super nice. I prepared the french press coffee using a burr-grinder (mid-large) and 80C water (typical methods). One obvious stand out to all other coffee I have had: they were both very smooth with no bitterness at all. The decaf has flavours of sweet vanilla and chocolate and is the tastiest decaf I have ever tasted. The dark roasted San Jacinto is a peppery dark chocolate that just brings joy and purpose into my day. Amazing.“

“Not to be dramatic, but I popped in here while visiting friends in SD from SF for my normal chai latte order. It was The Best to go chai latte I’ve had to date. I refuse to go to Starbucks as theirs is a sugary mess. I enjoy chai tea because of its flavorful spices mixture. However even with good chai I usually have to order it with extra chai because they are made more like steamed milk with a pinch of chai. Not the case here! I mentioned to the friendly staff that I loved their chai. They smiled and said thank you, we make it fresh every morning. Kudos! I very much appreciate the effort and can’t wait to come back to visit and have another.“

“If you’re looking for a cozy spot in Escondido with a laid-back vibe and great service, Kettle Coffee and Tea is the place to be. The atmosphere is super casual, making it perfect for hanging out or getting some work done. The staff is friendly and quick, which is always a plus. Their sandwiches are delicious! I had a BLT that they customized for me by adding sprouts, spinach, and cheese. I even added extra bacon—because, really, who doesn’t love more bacon? The sandwiches are always on point here. I did have a funny little mix-up during my visit. I went to the counter to check on my regular drip coffee with three shots of espresso (I love my coffee strong!) and the lady said, “Here’s your BLT!” Confused, I replied, “I’m already eating one but it wasn’t the one I had ordered but that’s ok because I was hungry.” Turns out they printed my ticket twice. I offered to pay for the extra sandwich, but they insisted it was on the house. I ended up giving the extra BLT to one of our local homeless residents, which felt good. Overall, Kettle Coffee and Tea is a fantastic spot with yummy food and a welcoming staff. Definitely recommend!“
