“The green and gold combo: cool and calm. Staff: happy. Altogether welcoming.Food is great. So is the coffee. People need to read description before complaining, and it’s not gonna be roasting hot like the starnuts trash. I’ve enjoyed the quality.“
“Our first time visiting Necessity and the vibes did not miss. The coffee was delightful and so was the service. The space is cute and tucked next to a beautiful pottery studio- the two coexist so seamlessly! It’s located in its own little cozy corner but worth the venture to such a treasure spot! Will definitely be back every time we’re in the area!“

“The cutest spot! Different vibe from the og location in San Marcos but change is never a bad thing! Super clean with a good amount of tables, and seats next to outlets which makes the perfect study spot! The coffee itself is amazing and the service is always great and quick. Super friendly staff and overall the best cafe around“

“Really laid back coffee shop with a ton of outdoor seating. Birdrock has some of the best coffee anywhere and this location is the least crowded of the ones I have been to. They are sandwiched between a French bakery and a high end donut shop so be warned that you may be tempted to supplement your coffee. Staff is friendly and service has been quick for me.“

“This was hands down some of the best coffee I have ever had. The service was amazing and I would 100% come back. This place is such a hidden gem! The three legged doodle hanging around was the cherry on top ;)Kid-friendliness: Perla is so sweet to put little one and makes her feel so special!“

“Updating the previous 1 star review I left. This weekend, I visited for the first time since then and they had different staff members that were AMAZING! Super helpful and kind to the many people in line or in the lobby. The coffee and breakfast sandwiches were delicious! Props to the baristas working on Sunday 03/17!“

“Great for little kids, there is an outdoor area pretty contained right outside with tables and places to climb. This is the main reason I frequently go here.I like the coffee, but the price is steep. Follow @sdcoffeetours for more. The Vietnamese iced coffee is my fav thing here. Everything else is good about it.Kid-friendliness: Love the outdoor area! Excellent for little kids. No changing table in bathroom, but there are lots of local places that might.“

“I ordered the iced Left Coast latte and if I lived out here this would be a spot to return to. The area it's in is nice, and the staff is even nicer. It's definitely an area I'd come to just to grab a coffee and hangout outside. The service was quick as well.Parking: It's in a shopping center with shared parking, you may have to park further in the lot if the up front spots aren't open.“

“Great coffee shop on the Bernardo winery property. They’ve got Great Wall murals of workers and prospectors from back in the day. Good coffee and great pastries. They get their pastries from a well known Escondido bakery. The almond croissant was a home run. Really fantastic. Staff was friendly and quick . They have a decent selection of breakfast sandwiches and well. Ample seating inside the coffee shop and in the alley behind as well. They have Wi-Fi in the coffee shop as well which is helpful being all the way out in the boonies. Great coffee Team!!“

“I just saw this place and the owner on iiMPCT MEDIA. The owner was so delightful and friendly. He talked and talked about how he roasts his own beans for his two store and you can tell it is his passion. When you love something the way he does, you know it is going to be perfect or he won't sell it. The shop looks amazing, clean, and nice to be in. Order a cup to try and then buy a pound or two. They sell by the pound and will grind it for you if you dont have a grinder. Hopefully they start selling online soon, but he did say that he mails out coffee to regular buyers all over the country. Call up and ask, maybe they will mail you some too.“

“Piston Pete's coffee is excellent. I recently tried their dark roast & found the flavor to be strong, but smooth. We purchased their Keurig pods for us and the beans for a friend who makes his coffee every morning. He actually sent some to his father up in San Francisco. We will try their medium roast next.“
