“At first glance, you probably thought Google Maps directed you to the wrong address. There's no way this is the correct burger restaurant, but looks can be deceiving. With a sketchy-looking "order inside" sign on the wall outside, you walk into the liquor store and see this hole-in-the-wall burger joint.
I ordered the classic hamburger and regular fries to be on the safe side, but I wish I had been braver to try out the other options. The total costs for the hamburger and fries came out to be ~$20 with a tip. The hamburger felt like a homemade hamburger fresh from off the grill. The fries were a little salty but goes perfect with the ketchup. We ate outside on the tables since there weren't any available seats inside or public bathrooms that we saw, although I could be wrong.
Summary:
- BATHROOM. I didn't see one but there could be one inside the liquor store for customers only.
- CLEANLINESS. The presentation of the food was good. Nothing spilled and all utensils were in the bag.
- COSTS. $ Decently priced for the quality.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE. The staff were very fast. It took about 10 minutes for the food to come out.
- FOOD QUALITY. The ingredients are fresh and super tasty. Nothing frozen, generic, or bland. Something about hamburgers make me nostalgic.
- FOOD QUANTITY. A decently sized meal.
- WAIT TIME. About a 10 minute wait.”
“IF I CAN ADD 10 STARS I WOULD CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS A1 OWNER WAS SUPER POLITE & EXTREMELY NICE! FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD AND I COULD TELL THAT IT WAS MADE WITH LOVE! THE WHOLE PLACE IS CLEAN AND I CAN TELL THAT THE OWNER CARES ABOUT OUR SAFETY ENVIRONMENT! WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS TO MY POEPLE AND WILL COME BACK AGAIN!!!!”
“Hudson House is not just a restaurant; it's a vibe, and I'm here for it all! While everyone flocks here for their cheap Taco Tuesdays (and yes, they're great), the real magic happens during their “early” happy hour on Fridays at 3 PM and their unmissable jazz brunch on Sundays. The staff makes the experience unforgettable. Justin and Dani are absolute rockstars—not just as servers but as wicked bartenders! Their drink-making skills are unmatched, and they always make you feel like the most important guest in the room. It's clear the “not-so-new” owner, Kate, trained them to perfection—her expertise and charisma shine through in every aspect of the restaurant. And let me tell you, Kate is even more awesome in person! She keeps the energy high and the standards even higher. Hudson House is my go-to spot for fantastic food, perfectly crafted cocktails, and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back. This place is more than a hidden gem—it's a staple. Highly recommend! Pro Tip: Don't sleep on their Friday happy hour or Jazz Sunday brunch; they're the real stars of the week. •A loyal regular!”
“Been there many times and it is awesome! Friendly, efficient staff, delicious food, and great bartenders! The owner is also very warm and welcoming. It is such a great Redondo Beach eatery, highly recommended 👌”

“What a treasure! Authentic French pastry delights. Try the savory ones — especially the Curry Ground Beef. Enjoy a stroll around the beachside Riviera Village corner of Redondo Beach, then reward yourself with homemade treats from this family run bakery. Small businesses like this are gems to find and a joy to support.”

“The Original Pancake House in Redondo Beach is one of our absolute favorite breakfast and brunch spots. This place is pure heaven, especially for my 7-year-old son, whose love for pancakes knows no bounds – he'd probably eat them for every meal if he could! Thankfully, their children's menu wisely includes a half order of his beloved chocolate chip pancakes, which makes him one happy camper.
And speaking of pancakes, the name doesn't lie – their selection is incredible! I've counted about 20 different kinds, which means there's always something new and delicious to try. While my son is a predictable fan of anything chocolate, I love upgrading my usual order to one of their signature pancakes. My personal favorites are the coconut pancakes, the vibrant fresh strawberry pancakes, and for a savory twist, the bacon pancakes.
Beyond the glorious pancakes, their omelets are equally fantastic. You really can't go wrong with either the classic ham or bacon omelet. If you're leaning a bit healthier, their fresh vegetarian or mushroom omelets are also delicious and satisfying choices.
My wife, for her part, has been completely hooked on their homemade corned beef hash during our last couple of visits. It's a rich blend of corned beef, potatoes, onions, and heavy cream, perfectly topped with two eggs cooked any style. And the best part? It comes with four of their famous potato pancakes, served with a choice of applesauce or sour cream. It's truly a hearty and flavorful dish. Just FYI, she never finishes it and usually eats about half and saves the other half for another meal.
One of my favorite things about The Original Pancake House is their attentive staff. They seem to make it their mission to top off your water or coffee before you even have to think about it. I absolutely love places that do that – no awkward waving down a server just to get a refill!
Now, if you're feeling adventurous or just want something extra special, you absolutely must try their Dutch Baby. This oven-baked pancake is served with whipped butter, a squeeze of lemon, and a dusting of powdered sugar. It's big enough to share, light, airy, and utterly delicious. Seriously, try it at least once – you won't regret it!
The food is consistently fantastic, the atmosphere is cozy, and it's simply a joy to start our day here. This place is a solid 5 out of 5 stars for us!”
“Great sushi and service. Good happy hour deal. Cute ice cream dessert options. Fills up fast. Line out the door when they open at 5pm but everyone was seated within a couple of minutes.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarians can get avocado roll or vegetable roll, rice and edamame.
Kid-friendliness: It's kind of loud and casual, kids are welcome.”
“My husband and I loved the Philly cheesesteaks! We met the owner, Sergio, and his wife. They are the sweetest couple! The food was delicious and the friendly interactions were great. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a filling meal and a reasonable price! We got two Philly cheesesteaks, one with fries and the other with potato salad, and a large fountain drink to share. Total was $33. They had just enough jalapeños to give that spice, but not too many that it was distracting from the other ingredients. Come check them out!”
“I got a salad and the Pad Thai and could not have been more pleased with the freshness and flavor. The restaurant was small, but not too crowded or loud. My wife and I could have an easy conversation and both agreed this was great food! This is a late review, as it was over a year ago when we were here. If we are back in the area, this will be a place we WILL stop to eat.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten and dairy free options were easy to order.”

“Great food with generous portions. I eat here every other week and the El Amigo #3 team hasn’t let me down yet. I’ve had a number of there dishes but my favorite is easily the carne asada nachos.
Parking: There may be 7 spots in their lot. Another 2-3 in front of the restaurant. And a few along the cross street
Wheelchair accessibility: Bothe front and rear entrances are wheelchair accessible”
“There's a lot of places that do Korean Fried Chicken in the South Bay, but the bbq.chicken chain does it, in my humble opinion, the best. It's double fried, so the chicken is super crunchy and super moist. I always get the wings and I love the spicy original and the galbi style. Not the biggest fan of the Caribbean style, but it is a Korean chain, go figure. The Redondo beach location is only for takeout.”
“This place has very good ramen, when I came I tried the original tonkotsu, and for a nice winter meal it hit the spot in every category, the broth was fresh and rich, the noodles were perfectly cooked, the pork was fresh, the onions and woodear mushrooms were simply perfect! It wasn’t too expensive either, the takoyaki pair perfectly with the dish, and the service was very pleasant! I gladly and happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a good traditional bowl of ramen”
“Full 5* for these guys. The place is a street food mex place on the side of the street witg no enclosed customer area. BUT! The food is GREAT, and one of the cheapest places in Redondo beach with fantastic home made food amd HUGE portions. Duch a friendly bumch of people too. FANTASTIC.”
“Friendly owners & dedicated staff, delicious food, relaxing atmosphere on patio. Our group ordered the Tostaditas (vegan), Taco plate (vegan), Savory Wrap (vegan), & Enchiladas special. Highly recommend the Palo Azul detox hot tea! The outdoor patio is small so no dogs allowed. There are lots of boutiques surrounding the restaurant & the beach is within walking distance. Check this place out as well as the shops & beach after, fun outting!”
“They needed better air conditioning and accurate time for pick up food was cold.”
“Excellent Fresh Food and really friendly servers who show interest in you having the best experience possible. Happy 9th year Anniversary!”
“me and my family enjoy coming to this location every summer it's been 15 plus years, if you're looking for a good quality seafood this is the spot😋”

“Chart House Crew did a super job in hosting us for a surprise Birthday Luncheon for my Fiancée. She was so happy to spend time with families and close friends, and to celebrate together. Chart House went above and beyond to accommodate our group size, gave us the best view of the Redondo Beach, served tasty food, even to our kiddos. Michael Walsh was a phenomenal Restaurant Coordinator, he saw the vision I had, and made the whole experience and dining remarkable and memorable. I would highly recommend dining at Chart House on any given occasion. You will enjoyed your dining experience!”
“We had an amazing experience here on Friday November 15th. Our server Lora gave us an amazing experience. On a scale of 1-10 I’ll give the whole experience a 10. Had a fantastic time with awesome ambiance on the Pacific Ocean. Enjoyed a fabulous memory with life long friends. Highly recommend .”
“we waited at least 30 mins after we sat down and they didn't even take our order. totally disorganized. we love Indian food and thought we would give this a go having tried Addis many times which is fantastic. 2 other groups of people walked out before we did who were also unable to place their orders. never again. 0/10.”
“Me and my wife went for our anniversary. I believe the person that served us name was Chase. He was a great guy very helpful with any questions we had about the menu. I ordered the 12oz ribeye steak with Mac and asparagus and she got the pasta with a Cesar salad and bread. The food was delicious and very good quality. While eating our food we had drinks she got some coffee drink and I had 2 cups of wine. The drinks were good. Man it was just a great overall experience. We will be back soon. Thank you Rex steakhouse for making our anniversary date night memorable.”
“Excellent, authentic, VERY Japanese sushi. No firecracker shrimp rolls. If you want that kinda thing, go back to Hermosa.”
