They cook it in house and use the deli slicer to cut the tri tip, so it is never chewy and always tastes great. The staff is friendly and efficient and there is plenty of seating. “A really wonderful, romantic oasis in downtown Burlingame. All the food we ordered here was delicious. The Italian sausage lasagna was my highlight. The pomegranate and arugula salad was also wonderful. The Bolognese lasagna was solid but not as standout. The complimentary focaccia bread at the beginning was just so-so.

The cesar salad was dressed to perfection served on a chilled plate w/shavings of Parmigiano Reggiano.. Delish! My short rib ravioli special was exactly what I was hoping for. Hand made in house pasta baked to perfection. My wife had the sacchettto vegi pasta pocket stuffed w/vegis . The red sauce had tremendous flavor... and perfect to mop up with the bread. 🤪... “This is our favorite restaurant! The food is exceptional, uniquely Sicilian. The outdoor dining on a sunny day is special. But what makes this place over the top is the extraordinary caring of Brenda, one of the owners. When my wife's meal was not entirely to her satisfaction, Brenda went well beyond anything that was called for to make everything right. My wife left raving again about Caffe Riace and what a wonderful place it is. Come. You'll be glad you did. And did I mention that the Tiramisu is like no other.“

“This meal, which just happened to fall on Valentine's Day, was a lovely beginning to our trip which started with a flight out of SFO. Fortunately I had thought to make a reservation or we never would have gotten in. The service was warm, the atmosphere was cozy and not too dressy, and the food and wine were great. I especially enjoyed my risotto with scallops; while the scallops were small, they were tender and there were plenty of them. We will definitely keep this restaurant in mind when we visit the area in the future.“

“Classic Stanford spot, I’ve been going here for a long time. I think it is only open for breakfast and lunch, but I’ve only gone for lunch. The food is good, with a variety of offerings; I get the sandwiches/paninis. The best part is the sitting outside, where they offer umbrellas. The service is super friendly. There is a lot of parking too which is great!

“I discovered the place by accident. I was next door inside Michaels having some art pieces custom framed when I decided to look for a place to stop by to eat. I was starving. I was craving for pasta. And thats how I got to discover this place. I ordered the chicken fettucine alfredo. Love the dish with its chunky chicken pieces and al dente pasta. The complimentary cheese sticks with that cheese pimiento cheese spread was a delightful surprise. Next time Ill check their lasagna and clam chowder. I heard their clam chowder is as good as Boulins in San Francisco. I dont have to make a drive to the city to enjoy a good bowl of chowder. The lasagna looks so rich as well as their chopino. Im definitely comjng back.“

My first visit I had chicken Parmesan
and for my second visit I had veal Parmesan. I enjoyed them both so much I will gave to have another visit to help me decide which one was my fav.
I was happy to see they have a large bar for cocktails. The service was good.
My only ding is the dated interior and the difficulty seeing the restaurant from the street as it has much greenery all around.

Takeout customers should be thanked for not causing dirty tablecloths and dishes -- and LOYALTY. Jessica reinstated that loyalty. I truly hope that the owners appreciate her. Mains took a while, but without us asking, the server brought a free appi (burrata, which was excellent). I really enjoyed the eggplant parm, and my date enjoyed her tortellini. The place seemed chaotic and disorganized, but at least the food was tasty and the servers pleasant. And sorry, I know the cookies after the meal are free, and I feel like I'm being ungrateful, but just say no. Nuf said.“
