“Drove from Woodland to try this place after seeing it on TikTok. Wasn't too bust when we arrived, just before 10am but it quickly picked up & got packed.

We ordered a large menudo with pata, a quesabirria, taco de birria & a carnitas taco. Everything was delicious but the carnitas taco could have been better. I feel like I was given the leftover meat from the bottom of the carnitas pile & that's my least favorite part but it could be just a personal preference. I like the leaner, less greasy carnitas.

The one thing I did notice is that the young blonde who initially took our order seems to get frazzled and stressed out very easily but she did not have a bad attitude like other reviewers claim. She was pleasant and attentive while we were there.

Definitely recommend giving this place a try. Restaurant is clean & the family seems to want to have happy customers. We will definitely be back again.“

“Excellent every time! A family favorite of ours. The new owners are just as wonderful as the old owners and there’s always a genuinely warm greeting when we come in. The food is amazing. It’s one of the few places where you can confidently say everything on the menu is great. The tortillas where so fresh, beans were like no other I've had and the portion size was perfect. Salsas were great along with friendly service. We are definitely coming back.“

Even my spanish friends who barely speak english know of it and highly recommend it and it's regarded as the best Mexican food restaurant in the greater Sacramento area by a lot of people that I know. I only go for the food but they have a full bar and lot's of tv's. The food is the best part, as it should be in any restaurant; it's why we go. It's taco truck level quality with the whole restaurant experience and when I say taco truck quality food I mean that level of quality you'd expect from a single person who's worked on the same equipment for decades. It's clean, has bathrooms, really nice employees and that special mucho beuno absolutely bomb food. The menu is huge! And honestly, the bigger and more complex menu a restaurant has, typically, the lower quality food you'll find there but this place is the exception to that rule. Go there, try it, and then you'll know.

Parking: Plenty of parking although I wouldn't be surprised if the lot was full seeing how good this place is. If so, easily park on the other side of northgate.

Wheelchair accessibility: I can't see why a wheelchair user couldn't get to it. Wide open and level, flat sidewalk out front.“

“We've been going to Centro since the night it opened and Timothy Busfield was making margaritas in the bar! It never disappoints; food is delicious, dishes evolve with the times and the seasons, service is excellent and friendly, and the vibe and ambience is fun. We always have an enjoyable time.“

“I ordered 2 lengua tacos and 1 cabeza taco and was accidentally served 3 lengua tacos. When I informed the restaurant of the mistake, they made me the cabeza taco and let me keep the extra lengua taco, no hassle. Now that's what I call customer service!

“The alpastor is super flavorful! The torta is sizable and the ingredients taste fresh, the bread was soft and soaked up the alpastor well. The salsa is absolute fire. Horchata was less flavorful or sweet, but that made it a lot much more of a refreshing beverage vs a sweet drink like a lot of places do. Will definitely be here again“

“The food and service here are fantastic! Everything is packed with flavor, and I always enjoy coming back. My only note is that if you’re expecting a typical super burrito size, it’s a bit smaller than you might anticipate. For the price, I wish it were a bit more filled. Still, a great spot overall!“

“I’ve been lucky enough to have seen this taqueria from the first day they opened, in Campbell, Ca. which was the original location prior to moving to the Sacramento area. The food is prepared by a family who pours just the right amount of love into each dish. For me, I fell in love with the food the first day, then I fell in love with the family. Mom, Dad, Sons, and Sister(their daughter always called me brother and I called her sister❤️) all knew me by first name basis. I’d take orders from the business located in our complex and order 10 burritos at a time and always left with a free burrito for myself. I gained over 50lbs eating their food because it was the best around. Over the past 25-30years they’ve been in business, I’ve made the trek to Sacramento to see the family and eat their amazing food multiple times. “My family and I have had the most wonderful experiences at Vallejo's. The atmosphere for dining is one of the best. The staff are so kind, and the owners go out of their way to speak to their customers. When my father passed away in 2018, the Vallejo's family surprised us with catering at his funeral. They fed over 500 people, and didn't charge our family one penny for the food. They have also catered for various family functions, including graduation events. The food is amazing and is definitely worth trying.“

“The Real Deal is OMG Cocina which has one excellent taco on the menu. I have been here twice both times did taco tastings. The real hero is the shrimp tacos with an awesome paired salsa. The shrimp is hand breaded and fried to perfection! I give the shrimp tacos a 10/10. I tried the carne asada which is normally my favorite meat of choice, there asada lack flavor even salt, 5 out 10 on those. The carnitas were ok, they left me wanting something else, 6/10. The service is order at register then it is serviced at your table. The atmosphere is rustic with inside and outside seating. Overall if in the area this is a place to try next time I will stick with the hero shrimp taco and coupled with something new. I will keep you posted!“
