It was also a bit hard to eat the next day. The bottom bun kept sliding off, as well as the lettuce, tomato, and onion. But still DELICIOUS.

“Good food. Of all the Nation’s I visit I always like the hamburger here best! Cooks are top notch! Bacon cheeseburger patty cooked perfectly and very juicy, bacon was just right, cheese perfectly melted and overall burger was very delicious. Pies are a must. My dad loves cheesecake. “Wow, It’s been 20 years, since I stepped foot on to Fosters Freeze. This well respected fine dine in establishment, aged well like fine wine. Service is rapidly/ friendly. Food portions is enormous and prices are very reasonable. Any residents that live in West Contra Costa County towns. Come by and give this place a shot.“

The polish with grilled onions is the best and you can take it into Cullen's Pub next door so you can have it with a beer on-tap. It took the waitress using both hands to bring me a plate, keep that in mind when you order. The portions are generous but not excessive, and the food is excellent. It's so good I even got an order of biscuits and gravy to go. Between the omelet with hash browns, the biscuits and gravy, and 3 glasses of tea my bill was less than $40. If you're ever in Martinez and want a good breakfast or lunch you can't go wrong with this place. “Wow was wondering if Scotty’s Restaurant was still there. Haven’t been there in over 40 years. My step dad Greg Davis had relatives that worked at Scotty’s back then. I’d stop there with my uncle Jimmy Nolan sometimes as well in his semi truck. I was just a kid. I’ll be up in Vallejo next week delivering a load to Mare Island. If I can find a place to park my truck and trailer legally, I’ll stop in for breakfast.“
