“I recently stopped by Halal King and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Given that it's a take-out spot, the setting is pretty basic. It’s clean and well-organized, making it easy to navigate. It’s not a place to linger, but perfect for a quick grab-and-go meal. I tried their Grilled chicken with rice and side of salad, and it exceeded my expectations. The ingredients were fresh, and the portion size was generous. The flavors were well-balanced, and it felt like a homemade meal. The staff was friendly and efficient, taking my order quickly and ensuring that everything was prepared just the way I wanted. The wait time was minimal. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. You definitely get a good bang for your buck here.

The food and atmosphere gave me so much nostalgia back to when everything was just simple and good. Reminded me of my childhood. My wife asked if I wanted her to pack me a lunch and was offended when I said no thank you ?. Aside from the food, the guy working behind the window (I imagine the owner) is just a genuine, down to earth guy - you can tell by just a 30 second conversation with him and his prices. They could easily charge 30-50% more but it seems he just genuinely wants to provide high quality food at the most affordable prices. Highly recommend“

They were slammed on a Friday night and cranked out orders like a well oiled machine while staying polite and kind to diners, door dashers and take out-ers. Solid fried chicken and cheese corn. Fried rice a bit on the wet side served in a Ramen container which was fun. Limited bar and table seating. Overall yummy, good vibes. Will return!“

“We haven't been to an Applebee's in a very long time...years; at least over a decade. We decided to go last night because I remembered loving the quesadilla burger. It did not disappoint and discovered the wonton tacos that were soooo good. Our server though, Sabrina I believe?....just added to the experience. Very friendly, and I would say perfect service; to the point that my mom wants to request her as our server again for our next visit which will be way sooner than later. Thank you Applebee's and Sabrina!

To add, from what I remember of being there years ago, it wasn't as clean as it is now. Menus were clean, the table, our booth...everything was clean last night and I was thoroughly impressed as I am in the industry as well. I'm so glad Applebee's is still in Vallejo! We'll be back!“

The polish with grilled onions is the best and you can take it into Cullen's Pub next door so you can have it with a beer on-tap. Seating both inside and outside with plenty of free parking on the streets of downtown Benicia. Don't forget the french fries.“
