“A legit Hawaiian food spot, I haven't had a good garlic shrimp plate in CA until now (it reminds me of Giovanni's shrimps). Also, I tried their crunchy Gojujang fried chicken and beef ribs and they were delicious. I would definitely recommend these dishes as a first timer here and wash it down with Dole pineapple slushy.“

“Wednesday 7/10/24 Dinner at Pick A Poke in West Covina with my son. He introduced me to this poke restaurant. The protein and items were fresh and delicious. A small restaurant with nice decorations.

“it's a friendly place with alot of happy smiles, it's food is great! best Hawaiian food I've tasted in a while... u can usually catch the owner at the shop and is always willing to talk to u as if u are part of the family.“

“I love coming here! The cashier is always so nice and friendly. The food is good, made fresh while you wait. $2 spam musubi on Thursdays is hard to beat. I also enjoy their macaroni salad. It is a little pricey but you do get a lot of food.“

“I stopped coming here a couple months ago because of the rude cashier and decided to order today. I called to make an order to go and the same cashier Anna answered. She put me on hold and after a minute I heard it hang up, after she left the line busy because it wouldn’t even ring. It’s always the same girl giving us terrible service but that was just the cherry on top. The younger guy cashier was there when I pulled up and honestly saved it he’s very nice otherwise I’d never come back here again. Everyone at my job that comes here said the same thing too.“

“As a combat veteran, I highly recommend. Great food. Great portions. Above that, the owner will go above and beyond for you. On 6/9/2024 I lost my phone but didn’t realize until I got home. I called the location and he immediately looked at his cameras to see if he could locate. To my amaze a homeless person put my phone into their backpack and the owner was able to retrieve for me. When I arrived, the owner handed me my phone. I am grateful and extremely THANKFUL.“

“For someone who adores beef, their beef bowl is da bomb, big and juicy just the way I like it. My boyfriend also had the big bros house special and I honestly don’t know which is best cause the sauce is heavenly.“

“The taste is above average but not the best. The portion sizes are adequate, and I highly recommend the half and half option for first-time visitors. I tried the Kalua pork and spicy BBQ chicken, both of which were great. The owner was kind enough to leave a good impression.“

“Love Poke and this place has fresh fish and vegetables and I've been multiple times and it hasn't disappointed which says consistency - hard to find these days. It's the usual line up of choose your base: salad, brown or white rice or half/half and then proteins and add on's. Highly recommend coming out here to have a delicious poke on rice and salad.“

To comment on portuon its a scoop just like everywhere else, i did see reviews in portion, but they are good, dont let that stray you away from trying this place. I've had poke from all over and definet3worth the drive and worth the try.

“This place rocks, I go here generally every couple weeks if I can and the food is always delicious. The teriyaki beef bowl is what I get most often. The meat and rice are well cooked and their sauce is one of the best I’ve had. Their portions are pretty generous and sometimes enough to save for a small meal leftover. I also often get either the kalbi or beef ribs on the side and I love both of those too.
The second you walk in you know the place is legit, there’s the sweet smoke of great barbecue in the air and the people at the counter are always so nice, I’ve never had an issue with service. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!“

“I’ve been to other Ohana’s it’s always been a good meal, this place isn’t any different.I just had 4 spam musubi’s and 2 chicken musubi’s. All were delicious and filling for the lunch hour. I weil suggest “easy rice” for less rice and the chicken/spam were cooked/sauced perfectly.I’d definitely come back and try their other menu items.“

“I love this place. Family owned and has an authentic flavor. I get the spam masubi when I want something simple. They have the good macaroni salad and the short ribs are really tasty. “Great food and good service. Nobody ever seems to eat there just pickup. My go-to place for Hawaiian BBQ but they also make a cheeseburger and fries that are really good. Their prices are reasonable, especially because they serve very large quantities. Just a single plate is two meals for me and I'm a big eater. Highly recommend.“

“Chose this place without expectation after hours of play time at Kid's Empire, an indoor playground nearby. We were tired and hungry and ready to grub. Guess what? THE FOOD WAS BOMB!!!My son and I shared the CHICKEN COMBO -Chicken Katsu and Chicken Teriyaki with rice and macaroni salad. Huge portion. Chicken was cooked perfectly and Mac salad was on point! I'd order it again.My husband enjoyed his SEAFOOD PLATTER -Fried Shrimp, fried fish with rice mac salad. Huge portion too. They also had boba drinks. We tried the mango slush with Boba and was a little sweet for my liking but still good.Customer service was great! “I was craving Spam Masubi so I came here. Unfortunately, the Spam Masubi tasted like it was sitting all day. The Spam was thin, crispy and dry. Not cooked the way I'm used to. I bit into it and it didn't have a fresh taste to it. I also ordered the combination plate with beef short ribs and fried shrimp. The short ribs were on the saltier side, but tender and flavorful. The fried shrimp were cooked too long tasting harder and crunchier than they should have been. The white rice was soft and fresh. The macaroni salad was fresh. The service was great. Server is friendly. The food also came quick. I may come back to give this place a second try in case they were off their game. But $32 for an unpleasant experience was too expensive.“
