“We hosted our end of the year celebration for the Junior League of Sacramento outside at the large table under the pergola. The weather was beautiful, the ambiance was serene and the aperol spritzes and the bubbly rose were everyone favorite. We made a reservation for 16 people and opted to work with Cheryl to order from the catering menu, which I highly recommend for a group this size! The food was exquisite and very plentiful portions! Thank you Cheryl and Betty team we had a memorable night!“

It is a walk-up wine bar that serves wine (both by glass & bottle) as well as beer and sparkling water, along with an array of snacks, such as flatbread pizzas, charcuterie plates, and paninis. The “showstopper” of this business is the setting on the patio of the historic Senator Building, built in 1924 in the Italian Renaissance style and included on the National Register of Historic Places. The Corinthian columns along the palazzo are to die for! It’s a wonderful place for a post-work mixer or happy hour. Highly recommended!“

“I have never given 5 stars to a restaurant at an airport before! I was early for my flight, so I stopped in for wine and a salad. The atmosphere might have been better if I sat further inside the restaurant, but I just sat out in the front. The server took my order immediately. The house white was reasonably priced and pretty good. The Wine Country Salad was EXCELLENT! I am going to try to make this at home, but I doubt I can make it asl well as they do. It was really delicious and I was very impressed!“

“We love visiting Vino Volo in terminal A at the Sacramento Airport. The food is better quality than any fast food nearby and who doesn't love a glass of wine before flying. You can enjoy wine flights or by the glass. The price is worth it, good atmosphere, good service and good wine/food, what more can you ask for while at the airport.“

I enjoy their chia pudding and a matcha latte while I read, but I don't go home without some savory scones and cookies for my partner and I. I LOVE when they have metal music playing, and the dark green walls being my favourite colour- it's like they made this place with me in mind. Note: Not all offerings are vegan, but lots are! Look for the V on the menu and make sure to specify milk choice in your drinks. They also offer some gluten-free items for those interested. :)“

Then the Crab Cakes...yummy and last for me were the Caramelized Sea Scallops. Everything was great. Mark was my waiter and he was great too. This is a gem inside the Arden Fair Mall. “Scorpio in Midtown is definitely a cool spot, but it comes with some trade-offs. I’d tried to go a couple of times before and walked away because of the long line both inside and out. Third time was the charm. We happened to pass by on a Monday, no line, and grabbed the last table outside.

The outdoor seating was honestly the biggest downside. The table looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in a while, and the planter next to us had food scraps and trash in it, which attracted a lot of flies. Sitting there wasn’t the most comfortable experience. Inside, the ordering area feels cramped and chaotic. The line would flow better if it ran in another direction, and given how busy they are, they really need at least two cashiers.

That said, the food and coffee were excellent. We ordered the avocado toast, pumpkin spice latte, mushroom bread, and oatmeal. everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The vibe overall is fun and modern, though the staff isn’t particularly friendly. It has that “we’re popular so we don’t have to try too hard” energy, which some people love for the exclusivity, but it’s not really my thing.

In short: great coffee, great food, cool atmosphere, but crowded, a bit unfriendly, and the outdoor seating area could use more care. I’m still giving this place 5 stars. It might not be my cup of tea, but it’s gonna work for other people.“

The baked potato was excellent - steak was good but not great - the Caesar salad was good. I love the Parmesan cheese but not authentic Caesar. The onion soup was the best ever !
