“this place is great and normally I love everything, the Mom and Pop vibes and the old fashioned style shop. the donuts are extremely good. and even though yesterday, the lady who works the counter was frowning at me the whole time, I still recommend them. but she really needs to stop that, it made me uncomfortable. the man working with her was polite, and she was saying polite things and being polite.. just with a look on her face that made me feel like I had inconvenienced her by coming in. heck, I still recommend them, everyone can have a bad day and a surly staff can be amusing.”

Went on the ole Door Dash and saw Backwood Burritos was available! 20 minutes later these piping hot, life giving beauties were on our front porch. Of course it would have been fun to visit Britton in person on this beautiful day at his cart on G Street. But for today this was an amazing option. “Unique niche cuisine with dishes you can’t get elsewhere in the county even if the names look the same. The flavors are fresh and the profile is overall lighter than the more familiar Mexican dishes. Also, I love the atole/champurado drinks — so filling!”
