“I had a kickback at the Social Club. There is an indoor bar, outside grilling. Purchase salmon, shrimp, hamburgers, hotdogs, oysters, charcoal, lighters from the bar to grill outside. Hawaiian Food truck had been on location. You can bring your dog and children. There is space to rent for private parties. It's an over all good time for friends and family. There are also rooms to rent. Real vintage feel.”

“Got the burrito oaxaqueño and it was on the best burrito I have had in Humboldt. Tasted very home made and made me feel great all day! Horchata was also very refreshing and creamy, definitely worth trying. Huge fan of their salsa, i might see if I can get a drink size cup of the salsa next time I go!”

“Omg I love this place. The workers are welcoming and always remember us. The donuts are incredible. If the universe gave me one wish I'd wish I could eat here all I want and never gain any weight lol these are THE BEST donuts in Humboldt county, and even possibly the whole wide world lolIf I can give you two recommendations I would say buy the buttercream donut and the jalapeno ham and cheese croissant. “A great 'find' on our overnight stop in Eureka. The staff were fabulous, and the food was excellent. Lamb chops cooked perfectly, with delicious potato, and mushroom sauce. Good wine selection too, and happy to provide a splash to taste. Booking recommended, as it is busy!”

“Ok, so, short story of how we ended up here - back in the 80s, my mom lived in the apartment right above the music shop, which is located across the way from Los Bagels. When I told her I was here visiting Arcata, she mentioned a bagel place near her old abode. I'm not sure if it's the exact same bagel place, but sure enough, we found bagels.... and yummmmmI really enjoyed the vibe, especially the friendliness of the staff (that's huge for me as I worked at Starbucks for over a decade. Good customer service is key). I got a jalapeño bagel, toasted with cream cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, and "slug slime," which is an everything topping (sesame seeds, poppy seeds, onion, and garlic? I'm not 100% on that, but it's bomb!).My bagel was so delicious and I am grateful. These bagels remind me of the ones from New York in the Jewish neighborhoods; smaller and dense as they are water boiled.Thank you so much for my breakfast, Irene and Brie. You all are awesome - thanks for being here ”

“Good food from Good people. My kids and I love coming here because it has a family atmosphere. The owners are always welcoming and their food is so delicious- from the spam musubi to the cheese puffs to the brocolli beef to their shaved ice- always on point. It was hard to replace Amy Delight's friendly service but Island Delight is the perfect place to continue the home like vibe restaurant at this location.”

“Compact space with six tables and some stools next to harbor freight tools. Order at the counter from somewhat confusing menu. Fast food served on plastic with metal fork, beverages in cans or bottles or a plastic glass.Food is fresh and flavorful. There are hot sauces available in squeeze bottles, if you ask, there are sauces and flatbread on the side menu. The red pepper sauce in the stainless cup is mild. Hummus taziki and baba ganoush are all good. They don't make their own flatbread there, but they make their own falafel and it's very good. The habanero hot sauces with or without mango are homemade and pretty good.Staff of three are friendly and efficient. Food came out pretty fast with several other people there at lunch. We ordered lamb on a dinner plate, baba g with an extra bread and falafel sandwich with a cola for about forty bucks. I'll try the falafel burger next time.”

“If you make your way to Arcata you have got to try Arcata Scoop! Their ice cream is amazingly delicious. The inside is cute and quaint and the service is great. Our family had their chocolate, cinnamon, mint chip and honey vanilla lavender flavors. We just discovered this little gem. If you are in Arcata you really don't want to miss this place.”

“Update 3/2024: they changed their mushroom polenta crostini to Polenta Crostini with Ragu. While I get the chef is an Italian chef, this isn’t an Italian restaurant. While it was good, won’t be re-ordering something I used to always order. Won’t remove a star for it as everything else was still on point. Please bring back the original polenta. Speghetti sauce & not formed polenta ruins it.12/2023:511 has always been my fave restaurant here. Went there tonight and had the best food ever. It’s always been great but this was so so good. It was on point, delicious and what I kept referring to as a “foodgasm”. Food was so good that I only remembered to take pics of the main course. Forgot the appetizer & deserts. Their drinks are perfect although there’s usually a long wait to get a drink there for some reason. The Chocolate & Espresso pot de créme desert needs to stay on the menu. It was heavenly. The Bananas Fosters” Cake– Brûléed had a bit of crispiness on the top which took it up a few notches above any others I’ve ever tried. “Amazing food, great prices and excellent service! We had the egg muffin sandwich, one with bacon and scrambled egg, one with sausage and fried egg, both so yummy. Also, the fresh squeezed orange juice hit the spot! The food came out fast too, hot and fresh. Highly recommended! Looking forward to trying their chicken fried steak and gravy or their Train wreck burrito next time.”

“Holy cow. I had the Korean street tacos with shrimp and I think I realized what heaven is. They were so delicious. We sat outside because it is a food truck but by no means is it fast food. I would eat these tacos for breakfast lunch and dinner. The only issue is they don't have a location in Arcata or Eureka. I WILL BE coming back. We enjoyed the tacos on a beautiful, warm but arguably windy day and we had been struggling to find a place to eat and luckily this place was open and operating.”

“A nice place with a beautiful natural wood bar. Lots, and I mean a lot, of specialty craft beer. I got there late after work, an hour until close. Bartender was pleasant and helpful. I'll have to explore a little more next time, as there is a back patio area and possibly non-alcoholic options.”
