“My husband and I had the absolute pleasure to dine at Juniper and Ivy for our 33 year anniversary. Not only did they have special menus for us, but we had a complete and very special experience start to finish.The staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable. We had what I would consider the best seats in the restaurant. We sat up at the kitchen bar, and were treated to an amazing dinner and “show “ The kitchen crew were so impressive and friendly to each other and us. We had such a great experience, that we canceled reservations at another restaurant on the same block for later in the week, so we could come back and try more. Same amazing experience at the next visit. Highly recommend, when we come back to SD we will prioritize another visit. Thank you so much for such a great experience!“

“There is no better spot for Cider in North Park (if not the WORLD) than Bivouac. A cozy campout aesthetic ran by the CiderQueen of SD herself, and a warm and hospitable staff to boot! The food and cider options are immense, with a delightful rotation of ciders to keep things adventurous! I’ve said it once, but I’ll say it again - if I could give Biv a SIX out of Five, I would!“

“My wife and I went to this cozy place for dinner based on a recommendation. GOOD CALL! Our server was pleasant and checked in on us to make sure we were happy. The food was delivered fast and hot. We shared the 16 oz. T-bone steak. It came out pre cut, ready to share. We also ordered a wonderfully great big salad and a wonderful empanada with beef. The empanada was pleasantly spicy, but not overly. The steak came with lovely potatoes. We also ordered a side of broccolini. I’m not a big veg guy, but I have to say the broccolini was delicious. All said the meal wasn’t the cheapest, but was worth every bite.“

Spacious, with roll up doors between the patio and inside makes for a chill vibe. There's a DJ booth but no DJ when I was there. I saw another space in the rear with tables and chairs that had a bar too. Women's bathroom was large and clean-yay!

Happy hour drinks were interesting and tasty but the apps for happy hour didn't appeal. No beers on tap and the Sculpin I ordered came in a can. No beer mug was offered and I had to ask the waitress for a glass. She gave me a brandy glass, so my beer could get warmer faster?

The Honey Bee drink is a good choice with the edible flower garnish. What the server called their spicy drink had little to no heat. I had the Chicken pesto Flatbread and it didn't disappoint. The liberal toppings made it more like a pizza I had to fold to eat. 10/10

It's in the Normal Heights neighborhood so the parking is minimal depending on what time you go.“

“We sat outside, and the view was so nice — overlooking the pool with a relaxed outdoor hangout area that really set the vibe. We ordered the deviled eggs, short rib hash and eggs, crab cake, and the blueberry burrata — everything tasted incredibly fresh and high quality. Each dish had great flavor and was beautifully presented. And I can't forget to mention the Busa-latte — the perfect touch for that just-right buzz to complete a perfect Sunday morning brunch. “The food and service were very good. My only disappoint was that the restaurant does not validate or discount parking at all. We drove from OC. We met our cousin who was visiting San Diego from Boston for a convention and our kids who live in DTSD. We could have parked by them, but chose to drive to the hotel because it was pouring.“

“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.“

Had I known I would not have booked our family dinner there. When your spending $50+ person I would expect better seating arrangements. The server and staff were great!“
