About Sweet Shack

Sweet Shack is a popular spot for sweet snacks at the zoo, known for its soft serve waffle cones and delicious funnel cakes. The chicken tenders are generously sized and served with fries, featuring a Thai chili option that many enjoy. However, some recent reviews noted issues with the chicken tenders, mentioning a change in supplier that led to chewy dark meat instead of the classic chicken breast tenders. Despite this, the tenders still pair well with ranch dressing. Sweet Shack also offers smoothies, which customers have praised for their taste. While the food is considered amazing with great portions, some diners feel that the prices are a bit high, typical for popular travel spots. The wait time for food can be a concern, with reports of long waits during busy hours. Overall, Sweet Shack remains a recommended dining option at the zoo, offering a nice atmosphere and ample seating.

This is a great stop if you want to fill up fast while walking in the zoo. Our order took a while but was still good. The smokehouse BBQ chicken wings have a too much BBQ sauce for my liking, and the smoothie needed to be blended a little more. It would be better if the offered a little more variety of sizes. It was too expensive for how long we waited and the portion sizes, but it was good. Could’ve gotten better food in San Diego though
Lots of GREAT sweet treats in this shack. Try a rainforest smoothie if you're feeling HEALTHY! Be sure not to miss the bathrooms. You will not regret it. You may stand or sit while eating. Your decision. I recommend selecting the chicken strips meal and three smoothies. Don't forget the restrooms!!!
Got the rainforest smoothie. It's not bad, but a bit too healthy for my taste.
