“Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure in San Dimas - Sweet Savory Cafe. This cafe is known for its delicious cookies that sell out quickly. They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. For lunch and dinner, they offer sandwiches, Paninis, burritos, Cuban sandwiches, veggie sandwiches, wraps, salads, combos, kids' menu, bagels, and more. They even have Keto-friendly San Dimas Barbershop Tacos! There is parking available in the front and back, and plenty of seating inside and outside. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. “Quaint family-owned market full of yummy baked goods, organic fruits and veggies (and more), kombucha, coffees, protein bowls, and even a surprising selection of gelato! They have a burger/hot dog pop up that I was interested in which is how I found the market itself.

In addition to my delicious burger (from the little pop up tent outside called Gr8 Burgers), I walked away with some incredible homemade cookies! Their bakery case had so many delectable looking items like giant cinnamon rolls and pan dulce - it was hard to choose.

But the fresh cookies were calling out to me so I grabbed a chocolate chip, a peanut butter, and an oatmeal cranberry. The cookies were massive, soft, and absolutely fantastic! The oatmeal cranberry also had white chocolate chips in it and is officially my new fave cookie - omg it was so good!

The staff member helping me was super friendly too! I truly enjoyed chatting while waiting for my burger - such a family friendly vibe! They have a large patio out front with tables and chairs, as well as an adorable back patio area with umbrellas and plenty of seating - and they’re dog friendly too!

They have a rotating schedule of various food pop ups and events listed on the boards outside the market as well as on their Instagram page. And there’s tons of parking in the back - but it’s not paved and a tad bumpy so be sure to go slowly.

“Met a friend for lunch today. Have been passing by for years. Big Mistake! Excellent food. Steak Sandwich was just right: size, flavor, cooked to perfection. My wife, had southwest wrap, she was pleased as well. As a side, I had the onion soup which was good, but I have had better. Our server was friendly, polite and attentive without rushing us.
I certainly will be back again.“

“Ordered a plain black coffee with an espresso shot and it tastes great! I just a cafe by how well their coffee tastes without any cream or sweetener, and this spot passes the test.

Stopped in here on a blind whim while trying to find coffee that isn't Starbucks. Very friendly staff, plenty of seating and a few nice soft chairs.“

They are always switching up their desserts and are so eager to please because if you don't like a drink they will remake it when this place gets bad reviews I really don't get it they must be mixing up their boba shops. “I happen to go to the tea place next door and saw this place and the menu caught my attention. I was fascinated by the port cutlet and the nice Japanese omelette over the rice with curry. I walk in and I get greeted by the lady who is so nice and friendly. Ordered the pork cutlet with rice and egg omelette and it was delicious

Cutlet was nice and crispy combined with the curry sauce. The was nicely done and added a twist to the rice. Definitely coming back here again. Friendly staff work here“

“I love Porto’s, this was my first time a this location and I had the most amazing experience today. The amount of parking this location has, so much seating space indoor and outdoor, and let’s not talk about the amazing customer service. I order the chicken milanesa and the dulce de leche latte both so delicious you can never go wrong with neither. I am so amazed on how often the workers will stop by my table to ask how was the food, if we needed anything else, helped clean our table and brought us to go boxes. Staff here is so friendly and nice. While having lunch manager james passed by our table, he was super friendly, and nice and we told him how amazing the staff was. He even recommended the steak torta and the Plato de pollo. I will most definitely be stopping by this location more often. I highly recommend this Porto’s.“

“I haven’t been here for a while and had a craving for the Chilaquiles. I knew they added a new Mole salsa so I called to order that to go. I was told they also have a chipotle sauce, so I went with that instead. When I got home, OH MY GOSH!! Those were the best chilaquiles I’ve ever had with the Chipotle sauce. “This is a nice find for Indonesian food in Upland. I just tried their ox tail soup. Also orders the Sumatra coffee. Both were delicious and fantastic. Ox tail soup is just as you would like when mom made it for you. Vegetables and tomatoes sliced in were not overcooked and brings good texture to the soup. I will certainly try other dishes next time. I came during off hours so this place might get crowded during peak hours. Parking at the strip mall looks adequate.

“I absolutely adored the aesthetics of this shop. It was so peaceful and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The drink itself was super on point. I don’t treat myself to dessert drinks often but the matcha cheesecake was totally worth it. I also loved the special cup they put it in, it was a fun soda shaped container you don’t normally see.

“I tried their peach oolong tea and loved it! They have plenty of outdoor seatings (tables, benches, and booths) and what I also liked about this cafe is that I can bring my own food. You just need to purchase their drinks. As long as you get there between 10 am and 2 pm (Tue-Sat), you can grab a drink and use their cafe area!“
