Everyone enjoyed their meal, drinks and my water glass was kept full as our server kept an eye on us always checking to see if we needed anything. I highly recommend the Twisted Sage Cafe.“

“Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure in San Dimas - Sweet Savory Cafe. This cafe is known for its delicious cookies that sell out quickly. They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. They even have Keto-friendly San Dimas Barbershop Tacos! There is parking available in the front and back, and plenty of seating inside and outside. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. “There was a 30 minute wait on a Thursday at 11:00am. It is not a very big place. They do have outdoor seating. Super friendly and helpful staff. They anticipate needs with a smile. The food is really good!

The standout - banana nana pancakes - wow these are amazing ! Piping hot deliciousness. Pancakes smothered in sliced banana and a syrupy sauce. So good you have to try and it’s huge!

The lot so great - biscuit and gravy. Biscuit not fluffy or moist. Very dry. Gravy pretty good.

Overall I would come here again and bring my family.“

“Stopped by for brunch yesterday; cute little place with outdoor seating. They quickly accommodated our party of 11 (9 kids, 2 adults). Michael, our server, was very kind, professional, and friendly. He was very patient with all our kiddos, which is always appreciated by us mom. Food was delicious! I ordered a club sandwich (best one I've had in a while) with fries. My friend had a BLT with sweet potato fries and she said her meal was very good. Will visit again!“

“Omg the food here is sooooooo good!!!! All the sandwiches have amazing flavors. The bread is so freaking fresh. Gosh I eat from here too often honestly. I love the tomatillos in the California sandwhich . The pastrami is perfect everytime. The turkey with cranberry tastes like holidays <3 the cookies are so yummy. The salads are perfect. The agua and lemonade isn't too sweet, just right. The staff is so nice and attentive too!“

My favorite dish is their chilaquiles and adding chorizo, eggs and avocado. Sooo good. Parking is sometimes hard to find only bc this spot is so popular on weekends but there is street parking as well.“

I've now forgotten the wheat ale I ordered, but it was local and it was good. The brisket sandwich I ordered was outstanding. We must have hit the bartender at a bad moment because when we arrived he didn't seem too keen on our arrival. When I asked what beer was new or something he could recommend, he kind of blew me off. Thought it kind of odd. But, he did come around and grew pretty chill as our lunch progressed. Chalk it up to a bad moment that I don't think had anything to do with us. All in all, I like the Rookery; hanging out on the back patio with a microbrew and a sandwich was exactly what I was looking for.“
