“It’s a great chef and delicious food“

“Really good food, generous portions, beautiful colorful plates. Very nice service, good desert. A bit pricy but this restaurant seems to be open at very convenient hours and dates and the food doesn’t disappoint so you kinda get over the price.“

“Our party of four came on a Wednesday evening at 7:30pm. Neighborhood parking is a bit challenging due to the popularity of the area with all the businesses there, but we found a 2 hr. spot (enforced until 9pm) after a couple loops. We ordered the house sampler plate, shish kabob, beet salad, the zahara bil tahini (cauliflower), halloumi, chicken shawarma, and for dessert, we had kanafeh, qatayef, halawa o buza. Everything, including the complimentary Palestinian dips with pita chips, was absolutely delicious- fresh and beautifully presented. It was hard to pick a favorite but I really liked the cauliflower! Two members of my party ordered a mocktail called Cinderella, and they were raving about it. The food was so good that we forgot to take pictures; we were too excited. I did remember while we were waiting for dessert, so there is one dessert picture in this review.

Our server, Lina, was attentive and very kind, and the other servers and staff were also very nice, professional, and polite. It was obvious that the staff wanted us to have a wonderful evening and we truly did. It is a very welcoming restaurant with lovely decor, excellent food and nice people. We can’t wait to come back and try more items!“

“Went to this place for dinner during my visit to SFO. The place got a decent vibe and atmosphere. I ordered their chicken, lamb shank and beef steak. The food was served at good temperature. Also the taste was good too. The chicken was really good. Hope they Keep up the service at this level.“

“I never write reviews, but this was the best Arab food I've outside of my grandmothers home. Everything was super authentic and so delicious! The music was fantastic, they have incredible drinks and souvenirs to purchase. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.“

“This place was busy and had a little wait. Now I know why. This place was amazing. I've never had Arabic food and I will definitely come back. We got so much. The hummus with the pita bread was so good. We also got the hand kneaded bread. We also got the squish which was over a sweet yogurt. We got the falafel which had a different yogurt which was so good. The potatoes had an unique taste that has you keep going back. The chicken plate was the final straw. So good the chicken kabobs were so good. The rice was a good addition.“

“The hummus with chopped chicken on top was absolutely delicious. The texture was extremely creamy, almost like mousse, and the flavor was rich and authentic, just like in some of the best hummus places in Israel. I’ve been to Israel and know the food well, and this is the real experience!

The salad as a starter was also very fresh and tasty, and the pita bread was soft, warm, and clearly freshly made. The service was very friendly and attentive, making the visit pleasant from start to finish.

The only small downside for me was that the price felt a bit high for this type of street food, but despite that, I would definitely come again.“

“Ricco Mediterranean review: Had a fabulous lunch here today and sad to report, they will be shuttering in three weeks. Every item we tasted on the menu (lunch combo 2 and 3) was superbly fresh and prepared perfectly. Solid portions, good prices. Highly recommend you enjoy a meal while you still can… we’re going back Saturday night for dinner! Sorry forgot to take photos of the food.“

“This place was amazing. The food was fresh, airy and packed with flavor. The restaurant was open and had many unique tables to sit. The service was fast and we received all of our food in under 10 minutes. I ordered the beef kabob platter and it was great. The beef was very tender, I could pull it apart with my hands and it was very flavorful and paired with everything very well. The side cucumber salad was very aromatic and tangy and paired contrasted well with the rice and bread. I put everything in the pita bread and it was amazing. You could tell everything was made freshly with good ingredients. The pita chips were so good, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect. The staff were kind and served us very fast. This place needs more hype it’s so good.“

“I’m completely loyal to this Afghan restaurant. I crave their Ash soup regularly and often come just for the Ash. Other menu highlights for me are the Qabuli Pilau and the Lamb Koobideh ☺️ Their Mantu is also good but not the best I’ve ever had. Complimentary green/black tea as well. The owner & servers are always gracious and kind, really lovely people!“

“I was reluctant at first because of low star reviews but thank God I came and tried the food! So far the best Persian restaurant in SF! I ordered Ghorme Sabzi and it came with a huge lamb shack and also the Koobideh and Joojeh was so large portion and amazing quality!“

“I had their lamb roganjosh, aloo Gobi, and chicken chettinand. People might say Pakwan is the place to go for good Indian food in the city, but I was thoroughly impressed with what I ate at Keeva. This is not watered down gringofied Indian food. Absolutely loved the lamb roganjosh, the cauliflower and potatoes were very well spiced, and while I personally didn't like the chettinand, I understand the flavor profile and what that dish is. You're missing out on really delicious Indian food if you're not eating here.“

“Super yummy hummus plates, falafel, kebabs and salads. Found this gem while on a walk in China town. Not easy to find, but once you know where to find it you will come back again and again. Sooooo good.“

“Charming mom and Pop place with good prices. We couldn’t believe how big the wraps were and they were absolutely delicious. Like I was in SHOCK! First wrap I really liked since moving to SF.
We got the deluxe wraps, chicken and beef. Both were great. You can tell they take the time to do things right and they even make sure to grill the outside of the wraps. And we loved the french fries and eggplant inside of it! What a fun touch.“

“We both had lambs ( the Mrs had the kebab with salad and soup and I had the lamb & beef platter). My plate was made special by the dressing , but my wife’s was the better deal as the smokey flavored meat was out of the ballpark sarap!“

“I got the chef's creation chicken shawarma and it was very tasty, but I felt it needed a little acid or freshness. I had some of the mint cilantro chutney with it and it helped. The hummus was great and pitas chips were crunchy but needed salt. The real standout food item was the complimentary lentil soup. It was full of flavor and had a nice consistency. For lunchtime on a Saturday, it was not busy so we were served quickly and there was plenty of seating. I thought my food was expensive, but my husband had a create-your-own shawarma and felt his had good value since you can get as many toppings as you'd like. Would go again and try a create-your-own.“

“Perfect spot for a quick lunch. I first tried the food from Sajj in San Mateo. It was a "regular" lunch place for many at my office. Now that I occasionally work in SF, I was please to find a Sajj just a block away. Love that the food is fresh and bonus that it is full of flavor. I take advantage of ordering ahead and picking up on my schedule.“

“Sashi Singh my pal from down in Stillwater Canyon was in the city and invited me to dinner in this Afghani Restaurant he found. Well, I haven't had camel hump in years, so I said sure! We met up at De Afghanan Kabob House and had a great dinner. I have no idea what we ate because Sashi ordered for us, all I know is it wasn't organ meat, and it tasted pretty good. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Not open for the past couple weekends and weeks in between - everyone that populates 11th street miss our guy so much!! He is a pillar of stability that supports the action taking place on the “Club Corridor”.We’re all hoping he returns soon and in good health.Joe is a treasure on 11th. Every day I look to see if he’s opened back up - it’s been a rare day to see this place not taking business. “Sababa at SOMA near Yank Sing and Salesforce Tower is a lunch oasis in downtown SF. Their food is always fresh and delicious with fast service. Lovely, modern, and peaceful ambiance too. They are mainly open for lunch. I love their Falafel, quinoa, and hummus dish.“

“I smelled it before I got there no always looking for “the right food cooked by the right people!” I had a bowl with chicken which I could cut with a the plastic spoon 😍 with rice and lentils very flavorful too with the Israel salad all that flavor in one bowl was the best by far! My friend who’s vegan was very satisfied had a falafel bowl which she started eating as we walked down the street! She had smashed it by the time we made to the tables at Union Square. The food delicious the portions huge and the price right! On another note when we arrived they were out of rice and of course they made me some fresh very much appreciated ❤️“
