“Food was amazing! The service was bad! Very expensive but I expected to be better taken care of. They were fully staffed but no one seemed to be working efficiently. We were 8 and none of the food runners ever knew who ordered what. They had to ask on every plate they brought. Not just our table but others as well. I don’t know if they have busboys as our table was never cleared. Plates upon plate stacked up. No one asked if we wanted a second drink and the glasses were never picked up. When we ordered dessert we had to move the 16 empty drink and water glasses to one side, gather the bread plates, wipe everything down and wait for our desserts. It was a busy night but not too busy for bad service. I kinda expected more than diner service at such an expensive restaurant.“
“Food good flavor, rich seasoningsService you have to ask for extra bread, waiters not very attentive because is to many customers for the amount of servers. Parking is validated but i didn’t know that and i had to pay. Theres no sign that parking has an assign parking garage. The atmosphere is nice.“
“We always love visiting Propaganda and this time was no different. The 4 Formaggi & Funghi is my new favorite pizza. This time we tried the boozy pandoro dessert and even 5 days later I'm still thinking of it. Can't wait to go back!“
“Before we went, I read the reviews to find out the largest complaints and prepare for them. But actually our experience was pretty much perfect. We didn’t have to wait much at all (15 min) when we arrived at 7pm on Saturday. This was lucky. The queue very quickly filled while we waited. Some reviews said hostesses were unfriendly—not true at all for us. Others didn’t enjoy their pizza. But we ordered the Sicilian and white pizzas and loved them. They were even good after they cooled down. You should expect a hefty pizza though! It’s not a thin crust pizza. Between two people we had two pizzas and the Caesar salad. This was the perfect amount of food. We also tried two non alcoholic beverages, a wine and a beer. The beer is shockingly good and you cannot tell it has no alcohol. Everyone we interacted with was friendly. The person at the counter who took our order stood out. He was communicative, accommodating, and welcoming. This is a place I am sure we will frequent ?We left around 9:30pm and there was a long line out the door of people waiting. Reservations are recommended.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options are available.“
“If your looking for good food, good atmosphere, great people, Stop what you doing and go.. The lines are out the door, The food is spectacular ?Sorry to all the sub restaurants ?Amazing ?down.Kid-friendliness: Great music, great atmosphere great smiles for childrenWheelchair accessibility: No steps.“
“Delicious evening. Many extra courses in the tasting menu, lots of extra black truffles on many dishes. Both of the servers were super knowledgeable and friendly. The table next to us was a loud couple with a dude on his phone a lot and that was the single negative part of our evening. An amazing birthday experience. Thanks, guys!“
“Great place to experience some new flavor combos. Service was top notch, but for us the flavors were a little dull. Maybe a case of having too high of expectations going in, but the street corn pasta dish was very underwhelming. We wouldn’t have known what it was going for. Again, food was still delicious, maybe worth another shot to try the rest of the menu.“
“Great restaurant but couple things:1) the food, pastas in particular, are very heavy flavored, we went in large group and all of us had digestive upset that night.2) the server pushed us to order way too much. She had us order 12 dishes (not including bread) for our party of 6 adults and asserted it would be a light meal. We ordered at least three dishes too many. And we are not light eaters. We were not happy with her guidance.“
“This is a retro yet super trendy neighborhood bar that offers strong craft cocktails and some Italian bar food bites. The drinks we tried were all super strong and tasty. The food is good as well but keep in mind that it's fairly small portions more meant as snacks. The atmosphere was top notch! It's pretty crowded even on weeknights, so you'll have to hover a bit to snag a stool or table at peak times. It's pretty loud and small so maybe not the best for groups.Parking: Try surrounding residential streets“
“The food here is excellent. Staff is very friendly and kind. Felt a little rushed towards the end of the dinner. Probably because they are only opened for a few hours. Overall, I can't get over how delish this food is. Definitely a new favorite. I recommend the Foccacia Bread Board for an appetizer. The bread paired with honey, pears and mozzarella was divine. The Manicotti was so good and the chocolate cake with a glass of moscato was the perfect way to end the meal. 5 stars!“
“The menu at Bestia features a tantalizing array of modern Italian dishes, expertly crafted with locally sourced ingredients and innovative techniques. From house-made pastas and wood-fired pizzas to savory meats and seafood, every dish is a culinary masterpiece bursting with bold flavors and artistic presentation.“
“Honestly, came here for the 4.9 rating on Google and the place honestly didn’t disappoint! David is super duper friendly, helped us with some questions and had a smile througout. That’s what i guess good customer service is. They have pizza slices but we ordered a small pesto chicken pizza and it is the BEST i have had till date. The pesto had a nice tangy flavor to it, chicken was cooked to perfection and the crust had just that perfect crunch! This place is a MUST visit. Thank me later :)“
“We were warmly greeted upon arrival. They serve delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. You must give it a try. The restaurant is clean and has a great atmosphere. They play light music in the background. The dishes are flavorful. The waiter was attentive. The owner checked in with us and thanked us for eating at his restaurant. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.Parking: The restaurant has parking in the back and there's also free street parking.“
“The food was delicious! The pasta freshly made. The service was outstanding! They only charge a 16% fee to help the restaurant/staff, no tip. I felt it wasn’t enough so I wanted to also give a tip and was told no tip needed the check was closed. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“Our experience at The Factory Kitchen was amazing from start to finish. We were seated immediately, and servers were very attentive, quickly refilling drinks, clearing plates, and bringing new silverware for each course. Menus are printed daily, which we thought was a nice touch to make the experience even more special. The kitchen is open, so we were able to see fresh pasta being made, prosciutto being sliced, and food being cooked. The highlights of our meal were the Prosciutto, the Gnocchi Malfatti, and the Canoli.I will be sure to come back any time I find myself in the Los Angeles area, and will advise anyone I know traveling here to visit as well.Parking: There is valet parking right beside the restaurant. It runs $12 for dinner service, and $7 for lunch. There are a limited number of spots available for valet parking.“
“Malbec was recommended to me by a good friend, and it is now my favorite steakhouse. Not necessarily that they make the best steak ever (9 out of 10), no, it's because almost everything on the menu is delicious. Tons of flavor and cooked to perfection. Been there 3 times and each time was just as perfect as the last. The consistency is terrific and the environment is awesome.“
“The atmosphere is great, youre not going to be disappointed there. Service was fantastic, they work together as a team to clear and get food out quickly. The calamari and rigatoni were enjoyable. Though the mushroom pasta did leave more to be desired, we look forward to dining in again.“
“This restaurant is tucked away from the busy part of Little Tokyo. We walked in at 6:30pm on a Thursday and were seated immediately. We came here for the famous uni pasta and mentai japanese cream pasta. Both were creamy, rich, and filled with umami. The mentai japanese cream one was slightly more fishy than the uni one. Can we talk about the portion sizes? Each plate of pasta was huge! Great value for the price. All pastas come with complementary sad and bread. Save some of the bread to soak up all the pasta sauce!“
“Was craving for a good italian sub and found this hidden gem near my work! Located across from the hospital. Parking was easy; street and parking lot behind the restaurant. Inside was filled with Italian goodies. They sold alcohol, cookies, bread, pasta, cheese, etc. Towards the back of the restaurant was tables to sit down and enjoy your sandwich. Came here for the 1st time with my coworker and we tried the Classic 6' sub with 2 sides. I got the macaroni salad and broccoli salad. The sides tasted ok to me but could be better. However, the sandwich was very tasty. I love how much meat and filling it was. I ate it all! We got a piece of tiramisu and that was very very good! The prices are affordable and the portions are huge. Definitely a place to go for lunch or anytime you are carving for a good Italian sandwich! *TIP: call to place your order if you are in a time crunch. We waited for 30 minutes for our food.“
“Pizza was delicious! Especially the pesto mushroom one. We also had the KBBQ (award winning), which was good but I thought a little too sweet on the sauce. I expected more from the award-winning pizza. Maybe I had my hopes up too much though.“
“First time here and I have to say, it’s pretty darn good!!! The antipasto salad was loaded with meat and cheese. The garlic bread is very tasty. I had the Chicken Marsala….. It was very good! Everyone was very pleased with their food. Looking forward to trying the pizza next, it looked delicious!!Parking: They have a small parking lot but we had no trouble finding a spot.Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn’t love spaghetti, pasta and pizza??!! Bring them, they will love it!“
“On Friday 08 Mar, Bryan greeted me and my family with open arms and with a big Kool-Aid smile. ?Bryan was very informative of all the wines (Sweet n Dry), he pointed out a sweet wine from Portugal, of which they were promoting at the front entrance. My family and I were pleased with his recommendation because the following day at our baby shower everyone loved it.Bryan congratulated me and my family of our beautiful blessing, because my pregnant fiancé was with me that day. That morning we picked up my fiancé sister from LAX and we decided to stop by for breakfast. And it was a pleasant experience because the breakfast staff greeted us with a smile… a special shout out to Martín! Because he made sure we had everything at our table in a timely manner, and most importantly checked up on us throughout our meal.Funny thing is, when we arrived I really didn’t pay attention to his name tag until after we ate, and we started gathering bottles for the baby shower. It was then I realize… That’s the name my fiancé and I agreed to name our son… Bryan.Once I told Bryan he was very happy for us and bagged our bottles to go.Oh by the way, the breakfast was delicious, we order steak and eggs, French, toast, and eggs, and chicken strips and fries for the kids.“
“Authentic Italian dishes! The lasagna is excellent. You have to wait a few more mins cuz it's brought to you right out of the oven.. buts it's worth the wait! Yummy! Cozy place. Makes you feel right at home but with chef services. Love it!!Parking: Parking in front, west side and parking in rear.“
“Great deli, highly recommend. They are not open late, so you may have to get something to go. Lots of sandwiches, and other Italian food options. May want to phone in your order and save some time. No seating inside at the moment, no restrooms either. Parking, entrance, aisles and counter are accessible. Dedicated parking behind the building. If you have a date, stopping by to pick up stuff for a picnic is a great idea. Or my favorite, pick out a sandwich, bag of chips, and a hot item to split, you will have plenty to share. Then pick out each other's drink, and a cookie or two to share after your meal. Sharing food like this with a loved one can be really fun. They have a lot of interesting products for sale, could also pick out stuff to make a dinner later with. Even if you come alone, they will likely have something you will find appealing.Parking: Parking behind shop, should be plentyKid-friendliness: Should be able to find somethingWheelchair accessibility: Entrance, aisles, and counter are accessible.“
“Super friendly employees. I had a big order for my husbands birthday and it was ready really quickly. We had a XL pepperoni and my family loved how fluffy the crust was and how cheese it was. We also had the potatoes and some wings. Potatoes weren't too crispy nor soggy. They were made perfect for little kids. The wings were crispy and had a lot of sauce so they weren't dry. Highly recommend this place.“
“Great little pizza place with fast lunch service. Pizza was good, price was right, and the store is clean. They accidentally overcharged me by $0.50, which they realized when they gave me my slices, and immediately offered a cash refund. No need since they deserved that as additional tip.“
“Upon seeing the monstrous wood fired oven, you know you are in for a serious pizza. We had proscuito and calebrese on one pizza we ordered. Tremendous. Beautiful color, chew and char on a crust that proofs for 36 hours. Thin enough to fold, but sturdy enough to hold up the toppings. So much flavor comes through from the fire and smoke of the oven. You can tell the dude man who was running the front of the house has serious love for the place. Very sincere, very authentic. This is not a whatever pizza joint. Its one of those restaraunts that is more than the sum of its parts. This place has vision and heart and you see it, feel it and taste it.“
“This restaurant is amazing! The food is cooked as if it came from a tiny restaurant with an Italian nonna in the kitchen. The ingredients are fresh and the meals generous in size. The pizzas are HUGE! The minestrone has big sized veggies whose freshness you can taste in every bite. Every dish can feed you at least once, and there are plenty of choices such as pasta carbonara, chicken piccata, sandwiches, empanadas, salads, etc. We have only used outdoor seating and it was pouring rain the last time we went. They had prepared for that with large canopies and even offered dessert on the house. Desserts are hard to choose as each delicacy is mouth-watering. Offerings include a variety of gelato, cheesecake, a pistachio-based pastry, tiramisu, chocolate cookies, and cherry tarts, to name a few. Parking is a little bit of a challenge if you arrive late. There is street parking and some paid parking. You may want to park on Colorado as parking is free after 6pm. If you are a MAD magazine fan, you'll get a kick out if visiting this hole-in-the-wall, awesome restaurant!Vegetarian options: Salads, soups, risotto or pasta dishes.“
“The food was great!!! What really stood out was the service. I asked our waiter for recommendations based on our dietary restrictions, limited appetite, and wanting a good representation of Argentinean food. He recommended a couple of empanadas, a couple of sausages, and a main dish for my date and I to share. Needless to say, both my date and I were impressed. If I'm in the area again, I'll be sure to be back.Dietary restrictions: Lactose intolerant“
“The food at Brera makes your taste buds sing! I know it's corny, but it's true. Their green salad has this light dressing that is so refreshing. The prosciutto pizza was to die for. My boyfriend had the Papatelle and I had the Nettle Pasta with walnut. We walked out full with smiles in our face. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. It was outstanding!! Oh, and the drinks are strong and good!“
“The Capri Club has such a great ambiance & the staff are very friendly. They fill up quickly, but if you stand around the booths, you'll be lucky enough to snag a few! They're known for their spritzs, and I had a few off the menu which were good; but I prefer their selection of wine.“
“It's in its own corner of LA, seems like nothing going on. Inside is outstanding food that the cooks clearly care about. It's just the perfect spot. The mushroom ravioli was outstanding. Planning my next trip back. Calamari alone was so delicious, promise you won't be “
“Tucked away in the back corner of a strip mall in Hacienda Heights. This neighborhood gem Italian deli doesn't occupy a large space, but the space feels really efficient with a full service deli on one side and the other side having a place to order sandwiches/ prepared Italian foods with an area to sit. Like most Italian delis I've been to, this place sells a decent variety of market/ dry goods well. The prices here for the foods/ goods are more than reasonable and the overall place has that old school feel or at least the feel that this place has been here for quite a while. Came here on a rec from a coworker. Not sure if I was super hungry at the time, but I walked in greeted by friendly people and delicious smells coming from their hot dishes/ pastas. I ordered the Italian Grinder Sandwich (6 inch or regular size). Again, not sure if I was just particularly hungry at the time, but this sandwich was so fricken great. It had the classic Italian sub flavor profile and I though the bread they used was fantastic. Nice, soft and chewy with a nice firmness/crunch on the outside. The sandwich was more than enough. I actually was really tempted to buy some of the prepared pasta dishes to go for dinner (lasagna or baked rigatoni). Definitely would love to comeback to try some of my other classic fave sandwiches like chicken or eggplant parm. Or their Tuesday Guido sandwich special or pastrami sandwich. Parking was really easy to find because there is a pretty sizable lot relative to the traffic this place gets during the day.“
“Walked by it for years and only recently tried it. So good. Had a special of white asparagus soup which was delicious. I had their strip which was well prepared. Our server was lovely and great at directing us. Lovely little. Spot. Reservations are strongly recommended.“
“The parking structure was easy to find. I ordered the cannolis and sfogliatelles both of which were amazing. The sfogliatelles were crispy, and the cannoli shells were crunchy. The orange in the custard/ricotta was flavorful! The cashier was very friendly and prompt with serving me!“
“We were a party of 9 and we were accommodated. Everyone loved their food. The flavors are on point. The cappuccino is delicious and a bit strong, perfect for the coffee lovers. The portions are good and the prices are more than reasonable. I recommend the Pollo de Funghi, the Fettuccine Ragú Boloñesa, the Rib Eye Steak, the pizzas and their Cappuccino definitely be back.“
“Classic and comfortable, you can always find home here. I love the simple things like their veal, their fresh crusty bread and their side salads! Don't forget the affogato or your cash, because they classicly don't take plastic. I suggest to park in the cute neighborhood behind it, and to bring lots of good friends and family!!Kid-friendliness: My kids have loved it here for years!“
“The entrees were amazing, salad was mixed; house salad was great, caesar only okay. Also the coffee after the meal was good not great. The restaurant was also loud, very busy. But it was Friday evening. All said, we will definitely visit again.“
“We love the food and the couple that owns the restaurant. They are friendly hard working people.Parking: The parking is in the back. They have about 3 or 4 spots available. But there is free street parking in the front and a free parking lot that is walking distance with plenty of parking spots available usually.Kid-friendliness: They are kid and family friendly. Our kids love the farfalle pasta, and our waitress.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp from the parking lot to the restaurant, great for wheelchairs and strollers. They have enough space in the restaurant to fit with a stroller without being an inconvenience to others.“
“RCP FTW! Brian is the most down to earth pizza shop owner you will meet. His crew's creation for different pizzas are limitless. Stay for the pie while you browse around at their artwork on the walls from local artists.Parking: Lots of parking“
“First time here. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak. It was AMAZING!!! It’s hard to find a great sandwich these days. When I pulled up the place was empty, maybe they had a rush earlier. But I gave it a chance and I’m glad I did! Excellent!“
“Gluten-free folks...go, run, get yourself an awesome pizza! My husband and I each got a pizza and we were both impressed with quality of crust and quantity of toppings. We will definitely order from them again while in L.A.!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free crust available“
“I recently dined at Gale's, an Italian restaurant recommended by a friend. We made reservations for a party of 6 a week in advance, and the restaurant was accommodating and promptly seated us upon arrival. Our waiter served us bread with oil and vinegar as we perused the menu. We ordered a total of 13 items, and requested the dishes to be brought in courses, which the waiter happily obliged. For starters, we enjoyed the flavorful Mussels in white wine sauce, which paired perfectly with the bread. The Prosciutto and Melon provided a simple yet satisfying protein option, while the Carpaccio with goat cheese impressed us with its thinly sliced meat and complementary flavors. Moving on to the salad courses, the Roasted Beet Salad and Rustic Caesar Salad were both refreshing and well-balanced.The pasta dishes were a highlight of our meal. The Rotini Bolognese featured a rich Italian meat sauce, while the Pasta al Forno delighted us with its creamy meat sauce and cheese. The Portobello Ravioli, stuffed with crab and shrimp in a cream sauce with wild mushrooms, was a standout dish that left us wanting more. Each pasta dish was bursting with flavor and paired excellently with our wine selection. Overall, Gale's provided a delightful dining experience with delicious food and attentive service.Towards the conclusion of our meal, we indulged in the 13th and final course—a generously portioned pizza that satisfied our group of 6 adults. This delightful creamy white pizza, topped with mushrooms and olives, boasted a thin crust with toppings evenly distributed on every slice. Our experience at Gale's was undeniably exceptional. The waiter's precise timing between courses enhanced our enjoyment of each dish. An additional highlight was the reasonable $20 cooking fee, and the added touch of live music on Friday evenings.A standout feature for me was the presentation of fresh dishes and utensils with each course, elevating the dining experience. In summary, I enthusiastically recommend Gale's as a warm and inviting spot for genuine, home-cooked meals that evoke a sense of dining among loved ones.“
“Disclaimer, this review is only for pizza. The works pizza is a great combination pizza with a fresh crust and generous, fresh toppings. The Sicilian is another of our favorites. I have to go back to try some other items like the chicken parm plate, but if the pizza is a sign of the food quality and taste, then I'm looking forward to it.“
“The pizza is amazing. Salads are OK. The wait staff is young... and often more interested in socializing with each other than taking care of customers. On my last visit our waiter forgot a number of things. Including to put our order in with the kitchen. We ended up being there for almost two hours. And no one apologized.“
“Very good food. I had the eggplant Parmesan, and it did not disappoint. It was very good and I would order it again. The side salad was excellent; very tasty and flavorful. The garlic cheese bread was excellent, fresh and warm. My buddy had the meatball spaghetti and he said it was very good. I ordered medium cheese pizza to take home; fresh and delicious. Also, the size was more like an extra large and a medium. And dessert was very good, I got the ice cream. The average plate is about $20 but it’s worth it. I would definitely go back for another meal.Parking: Free parking, but not a lot of parking spaces.“
“I stumbled upon this place when apartment hunting this past summer. Fast forward to last Friday, I was celebrating my birthday and they happened to have a outdoor seating available. The ambiance is very cozy. The owner and his staff made me feel so much at home. Boy they have a sense of humor and even sang happy birthday to me. As for the food, try the clams linguine and calamari. I'll be coming back soon. Worth the time and energy.“
“Delicious pizza served at the old Whittier post office. There are non-pizza options available as well. Friendly staff are very helpful. The only downside was not seeing more about the building's previous function. That would be a great addition for out of town visitors. I will definitely be returning when I am in town next!“
“Went to star cafe for lunch on Saturday! Place was packed and so was black cow, our server was excellant and we even met the owner! I tried the sausage and peperoni pizza which was very tasty! So glad we came as we found out they are closing for good on Monday! Thank you guys for great food and service!“
“There was a very large party taking up the entire center of the restaurant. This first visit was surprisingly very good. As busy as they were, the service was good. The portions were huge. The downside was not enough sauce for the portion of fettuccine. Also, the eggplant flavor was off. The spaghetti, lasagna, soup, bread, and mozzarella sticks were very good. Will have to come back and try the pizza.“
