“My coworker and I was craving Mediterranean food and this spot was close.

I ordered their salmon plate, with a beef kubideh along with lentil soup and garlic fries. The salmon was delicious and the beef. The soup was good, a little tangy then I’m used to but the garlic fries might be the best garlic fries ever had in my life so far.

I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.“

“I ordered Pop’s Trio that comes with each skewer of chicken, beef, and beef koobideh (luleh); white rice and lettuce salad with lemon vinaigrette; savory hummus; cucumber, tomato salad; grilled pepper; and a pita bread. All the vegetables were fresh, and the meat was seasoned well. My favorite one was beef koobideh.

The mobile ordering process was straightforward and convenient, but when I went there for pick-up, it was a bit confusing about which counter to go to for pick-up because there was no one at the cashier counter and apparently the area around the right side of the counter next to refrigerator when entering the restaurant had more space for customers to order and wait. Also, I didn't find the staff welcoming or approachable, but the person who cooked and gave me my pickup order was very warm and hospitable.

“I stopped in to get some hummus and garlic paste to go but see there $11.99 chicken kabob special and decided to try it. I am so glad I did. The dark meat chicken was so tender the side salad was delicious a fun the hummus was good even the rice was tasty. I will def recommend to anyone just passing by to try it!! When you need a Shawarma, World Famous Grill is here to deliver. The Shawarma was great and I tried the Chicken and The beef because of a confusion, at the end I won... They were both delicious and different. I'm still trying to know how the baklava was. It melt in my mouth. Next time, I will try it slower, but with the amazing taste, I doubt it will be possible.“

“when we first walked in, the staff were friendly by welcoming us, offering us a menu, and recommending their best burgers.

we ordered the swiss mushroom and crispy chicken burgers, both combo so it came with friends and we can grab our soda of choice from the fridge. the place was spacious, clean, and had a lot of tables. once our food was ready, the staff brought it to our table!

swiss mushroom burger - THIS WAS SO GOOD! their beef patty is super juicy and flavorful. i haven’t had a burger like this before that makes you keep wanting to eat it. their beef patty is really really good. everything is so balanced, not overwhelmed by the mushroom or onions and it complimented each flavors perfectly.

crispy chicken burger - the chicken was indeed really crispy and juicy on the inside. this burger tasted like a hearty meal, not too salty or bland, on the higher end than other chicken burgers i’ve tasted.

their fries were crispy and seasoned well! i recommend getting their SPICY GARLIC SAUCE to dip. it was house made and delicious.

“Certainly not the only one, but definitely a wonderful choice to get Mediterranean food for lunch or a quick dinner. The place is located in a a cute little building (missed it on the first drive-by) with a mini garden to sit outside at one of four tables. The food is delicious, freshly prepared, cleanly presented. Hit on the menu - I was told - is the Chipotle Chicke. I went for the lamb gyros and the spinach dip - and loved both: Everything was tasty - and good to come back another time - so four stars :-) Now, thank you for reading my comment. Now, if you are curious enough about my "rating scheme", here's "the moment of truth. I am a music photographer who travels the world with the worlds greatest musical talents (Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Rolling Stones or Rammstein, to name a few) for almost 40 years. When being asked "where do you live" I tended to ask "in hotels". At my peak, I "shot" 250 shows a year. Will say: been there, saw and tasted it, and a lot, as I may say and much to the dismay of my doctor who is in my back to lose a few pounds. Quite a few, as I may add, which is why my wife and I walk ten thousand steps per day, where- and whenever we can - and explore a lot of new exciting places - places you may oversee when just driving by. While I love to share my experience with others, I am sometimes shocked how people use their "power of word" to down-rate amazing places because of minor incidents (in my all time favourite​ restaurant Le Petit Four on Sunset Plaza the owner was even called a racist as he refused to toast the (free) bread in his packed restaurant - they simply do not offer toasted bread, as no French​ place does, as I may add). Or I just read "Chicken piccata so over-salted I hope the dog enjoys the leftovers tomorrow, I brought home most of the dish." Did they speak to their service? How could the restaurant learn that something was wrong when patrons even have their leftovers​ boxed to take home? As a dog owner,​ I want to take the writer and shake him or her really bad and say "you give over-salted food to your dog? Anyone with a bit of brain understands this is a horrible idea...​ I hope you agree. So If I had the say on this portal, I would offer just to see ratings of my friends. So I would see what the ratings were by like-minded people. Sadly, I have no say. I try not to compare apples with oranges. A place like this simply does not compare to "The Ritz". At first,​ I assume that a restaurant is clean, they do not greet you with a gun - and they deliver whatever they promise. I do not give stars for things that are expected. In my rating scheme, three or more stars are awarded if they actually exceeded my expectation. Four, if I am sure I will come back. “Nancy at the counter is always fast and efficient. She really knows her menu! They have a variety of plates, salads, wraps, and sides. A few of my fan favorites include the works, which comes with a little bit of everything, kafta, beef, chicken, two falafel balls and two step grape leaves. Chicken wrap is made with pita bread, garlic paste, lettuce, tomatoes, and homemade salad dressing. The sides forBesides for your wraps are pickled turnips and your choice of spicy potatoes or salad. My favorite salad would be the grilled veggie salad with protein optional it has onions, bell peppers, zucchinis, yellow squash, and corn, all grilled and topped with their homemade balsamic dressing and feta cheese. Their stuffed grape leaves and falafel are always a hit as well. I have yet to try their baklava, but that is next on my list they’re located in a food plaza, so there are a bunch of other eating establishments as well and their dining areas and restrooms are always spotless. Most of the establishments have the restroom code and Wi-Fi password posted or if they don’t, you can always ask! The TVs mainly play the news and they have connections if you need to charge your phone or laptop overall, this is one of my favorite places to eat. If you decide to go check this place out at the counter know Roxy sent you!

“Lots of vegan choices here with faux meats. I ate my falafel and fries. The fries were a light golden, crunchy outside fluffy inside, generous portion, but it costs extra. The falafel (about five in the wrap) was good, a little dry, but good chickpea flavor 5/5...but I wished the lettuce wasn't so "spring mix from a supermarket bag" and clubky chunky...I like to see more finesse...but the pita was the thick fluffy kind and the sandwich was well wrapped so you could hold it without too much falling out. I enjoyed the cute Sierra Madre ambiance inside...though I was kept waiting so long in the place i nearly left...about 12 minutes alone before someone emerged from the back, without as much of a welcome or greeting. Well, I was excited to be there at least. Anyway, no check ins from any server but I tipped the guy 15 percent anyway, and he did thank me for that. I ordered a beef and chicken combo with rice and the proteins were grrrreat 5/5. It survived the half-hour drive home. Suggestion: Ask to have the pita bread packaged outside the container. The pita was under the proteins...alas mushy soggy unrecognizable....not smart, sorry. So if you want pita that isn't mush, beg to have the pita on the side. One star less because of that decision to put bread on the bottom for a takeout order. My mom didn't get any pita 0/5 and that's a shame bec it was the fluffy kind.“

I wanted to make an update since some things have changed since I initially wrote my first review. This is still easily one of my top three Mediterranean spots in the area. The flavors are always on point, the portions are generous, and the quality has stayed consistent over time. One thing that has changed, though, is the gradual price increase. The chicken kabob plate, which comes with hummus, pita, rice, and salad, used to be about $17 but is now closer to $20 or more. I feel a little conflicted because for the taste and portion size it still feels worth it. At the same time, if you are bringing a date or ordering for more than one person you should expect to spend a bit more than you might anticipate.“

“Huuuuge portions of really tasty food. This place is a sleeper- great value for LA. The food is prepared with care and the flavors don’t disappoint. I have had the Habibi a few times with chicken and it’s such a good burrito. Cucumber salad was tasty and the Jamaica is really tart ! Just the way I like it.“

“Overall my experience was exceptional. I’m so grateful for not only the tastey cuisine but for the proper facilities provided for patrons like myself who have IBS -Type M and live with alternating (sometimes instantaneous) bowel habits -I never know what my experience is going to be like dining-in and zankou chicken has allowed me to continue to dine in with my friends and dates without any worry that I won’t make it to the bathroom in time. This location’s restroom is in clear sight, accessible, has multiple stalls and they always keep extra toilet paper stocked incase it’s an IBS -Type D day (if you know what I mean!) Haha anyways, I just wanted to post this to spread awareness of IBS Type-M incase there is anyone out there afraid to enjoy their favorite Mediterranean restaurant with the ease knowing your pants will stay doo doo free (srry for not using scientific terms sometimes you just gotta make the most of it and laugh ;D )“

“We were travelling thru Glendale, and came across this place. Such a gem. Wife and I had a light lunch splitting a Greek salad & Pita, which was absolutely excellent. Fresh greens, top quality feta, olives, onions and tomatoes. And the dressing - Not sure exactly what it was, but it matched perfectly. Also, we able to bring our dog into the patio, and all had a wonderful alfresco meal. I didn't catch the gentleman's name, but he was the only employee, and was doing everything (order, chef, server, clean up), and he was spot on. Kudos“

I have been there 3 times and everytime I say that I will be trying a new dish but their sahara fries (half cream chop and half chicken shawerma) always seem to be calling my name, the atmosphere gives a very casual semi fast food vibe but the food is quality. HIGHLY recommend this place.“
