“I have been here plenty of times since I live a few blocks away..The customer service has always been the best. I get greeted as soon as I walk in. Never had an issue. Also, the waitin time on the pupusas of course its gone take sum time..THEYRE HAND MADE!! theyre made right at the spot for you..you dont want no preheated Pupusas. I can eat their pupusas all day!!“
“This was the cutest little spot! I believe this is a family owned business, and both the ladies working were SO sweet! I got chicken pupusas and they were sooo good!! Probably the best I've had! Not to mention, the prices were reasonable. This is 100% my go to pupuseria now. They even had this back from lg“
“Precious, authentic experience. Each dish is lovingly built using traditional recipes. We were just in El Salvador and the food at Popoca was better than anything we had there. The layers of flavors and textures were incredible and so was the presentation. Our server was kind and helpful. Bless this place and the people working there. It’s a labor of love.“
“Me and my family ordered the Pupusa Loca plate to share and it was amazing! I loved the how light, but flavorful the Pupusas were and how balanced they tasted with the Cabbage salad. The service and atmosphere was great; the place can get crowdy with the close seating, but overall the food is delicious and service is Superb.“
“The only place you can find atol de Chuco Salvadoreño!! Take advantage as it is rare to find in a restaurant, so good and only 5 dollars. “Shuco” name of Nahuatl origin, is the oldest typical hot drink of The Salvador, which is made from fermented corn. Atol Chuco is prepared with black or purple corn because of its distinct flavor, although you can use normal maize.Vegetarian options: PupusasKid-friendliness: YesParking: Few slots, street parking behind restaurant but not in frontWheelchair accessibility: YesDietary restrictions: Yes“
“Craving satisfied! I recently indulged in the mouthwatering pupusas at Los Cocos and they were a hit. Made to order, each bite was a delicious blend of flavor and freshness. I savored both the classic bean and cheese pupusa and the mixta, both soft and delightful. To complement my meal, I opted for a maracuya drink, which was sweet and refreshing, perfectly complementing the savory flavors of the pupusas. Despite being pre-made, the agua frescas were served in generous portions and tasted as if freshly prepared. The spacious layout of the restaurant provided ample seating, making it a comfortable dining experience. Overall, a delightful culinary journey that left me fully satisfied and eager for a return visit.“
“I was craving breakfast; my brother told me about this place . After reading the reviews I agreed . A lot of us get thrown off because of the location; it's in the ghetto. We live a couple blocks from this place ; always saw it but never checked it out. Let me tell you it's Outstanding ! The food quality and quantity is great. I got a French toast breakfast combo . The quality is better than your nearest I*HOP or D*NNYS. Props to this place . Hash browns are toasty not soggy , sausage is high quality and bacon . Large portions. French toast came with plenty syrup and butter. This place is not stingy at all. My brother said ambience is great and family like . Props to the owners and Chef ! Food was so good I didn't take a picture. Hispanic owned place , always happy to see my people thrive.“
“Tastes like an abuela made it. Has the lunch special with 2 pupusas, steamed corn tamale, and a side of pica de gallo. Everything was very fresh. Clearly made to order. Had the bean, cheese and pork + jalapeño pupusas, both were excellent. What was amazing was the corn tamale. A bit disappointed it is 1/2 of a tamale, this is Soooo good!!! I will be back just for the tamales. But I will call ahead because it is a bit longer of a wait than estimated. Totally worth it, just need to adjust ?“
“✅Excellent: fresh cut veggies as carrots, tomatoes, celery, green and red bells and some chayote, worth’s the 30 minute wait for a real Salvadoran free-range chicken soup. I’m so happy this place doesn’t fill up the bowl with potatoes like other places do and the waitresses are always welcoming you with a Spanish sweet smile to make your meal even tastier. ? ?“
“I go here whenever I want a quick, fulfilling yet cheap bite while at work. Everything's made to order and I say the proportions are a good size for the prices. The pupusas are fat and delicious. I only need two at a time. They give you hella flautas too! I got about 9 in an order with a small salad on the side. I can spend $10 or less for a good lunch meal here. I plan on trying everything on the menu.“
“BOMB tasting pupusas... the lady cooking is awesome. The lady behind the register... well she should get up off her phone and HELP the cook because while the cook lady is busting her a** and getting backup by work the register lady is chilling on her phone. I personally gave the cook a tip for all her hard work that I saw while I ate.“
“Incredible! 9.8/10 thick Carne Asada Quesadilla w soft flaky tortilla and very generous meat and cheese. Perfectly cooked. 10/10 Salsa Verde (leaning toward the hot side). I’m gonna taste it for a week. Great bathroom too. I’m gonna start bringing people here Fr Fr ??“
“Don't let the location for you. Some of the best pupusas I've ever had (and I have had my fair share). Cooked to having a soft center. The masa (corn flour) complements the other flavors without overpowering them. I am not a big believer in perfection, but the way these were cooked came damn close. And this was just the main dish. The cabbage salad, (curtido) that accompanied it was solid as well. Crisp, fresh with the proper acidity. I will be back.“
“The consistency of the food is pleasant, although you need to be a little more careful with the food because sometimes they are a little burnt, but still excellent serviceParking: Large and available spaceKid-friendliness: Suitable for family dinner or breakfast“
