“Had lunch with 2 of my girlfriends on a weekday and we were seated immediately. It was all of our first time there, and we loved it. We will be back to try more! Let's get into it:Menu: We came during lunch so we had the lunch menu as well as the Restaurant Week fixed menu. We didn't opt for it because we wanted to try some other items but we heavily considered it. The regular lunch menu was great - 1 page and yet had many options for us. The back listed several great looking drink options.Appetizers: Everything we ordered was extremely flavorful. We ordered the Salmon Salpicon and Bruselas El Prado to share. The salmon dish was so good and rich. We wish it came with just a few more more plantain crisps but that's our preference. We said we'd come back for that and drinks alone...unless we got the rest of our dishes. The Brussel sprouts were so well flavored and perfectly charred and crispy. I would eat that on it's own.Main Dishes: We order 3 dishes including: Arepa con Queso, Colombian Chorizo Hotdog, and Posta Negra Sando. I had the Arepa and it was a wonderful vegetarian arepa dish filled with a mix of root veggies, cauliflower and broccoli all topped with an egg. So filling. Highly recommend. I don't eat meat so I didn't eat the other dishes but my friends were not disappointed.Service: The servers were great. Very genuine interactions. They checked in on us periodically and were never far if we needed something.Ambiance: The place itself was beautifully decorated. I wish I took pictures of the inside of the restaurant.Overall, a wonderful treat to experience with friends. Treat yourself to this place! We'll be back to try more food and check out their dinner menu.Dietary restrictions: Menu states this is a gluten free kitchen. Dishes also marked as DF (dairy free), VG (vegan), VEG (vegetarian) where applicable.“
“Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Price: 4/5Atmosphere: 5/5 This is still one of my absolute favorite spots in Berkeley. The food is always consistently delicious and the service is great. The ambiance is relaxing and chill. The prices are a bit higher than most restaurants, but the quality of the food is worth it in my opinion.“
“No good pics because I ate too quickly. Hands down best Taiwanese food in the Bay Area. All the staff are amazingly friendly. Menu updates regularly. Will come back many many times!!Update: came back many times and this place is still amazing. Menu changes regularly but they keep the classics. Eggplant is 1000/10“
“Went to Kiraku for dinner with friends and had a great time! You can pick your own Sake glass and we had a carafe of a sake recommended by our server. Everything we ordered (including the special of the night, tuna collar) was amazing! Would recommend to “
“Regularly used to order their to-go paella for treats during the grim pandemic days. Now they are back to normal service the food has got even better. Particular;y loved the crab balls in inky aioli. The wines by the glass, tho not cheap, are lovely. We ordered 5 starters/tapas which was plenty for 2 people and very good value. Will go again soon. Thank you!“
“Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, though expect small portions. The service was exceptional too, but I especially wanted to write a review because the bathroom was so amazing! At the end of the night it was still sparkling clean, and it has a bidet (!), free sanitary products (!!), and a hilarious & adorable toilet paper dispenser that made me laugh out loud. If you're a foodie or you want a fun, quirky place to share a drink and snack with a friend, definitely add Snail Bar to your list.“
“I found this place on yelp, my wife and I decided to go. The place is cozy, the food average, wine a bit expensive, the bartender was nice and attentive. I'll give a 4 out 5. I can recommend this place but they have to improve a few things on the menu.“
“The food was amazing, and the service was great. I had a delicious pisco sour, the spicy ceviche which was divine, and split an empanada sampler 3 ways with the group I came with. The menu was varied with plenty of options for every type of diet. Everything was delish. Atmosphere was a little industrial for my taste, could have done more with decor to really elevate the dining experience here. Overall, I would recommend and I would come back!Vegetarian options: Not too much in the way of vegetarian options, although you could find something to eat on the menu. They have a dish called tacu tacu which is vegan, crispy beans and rice.“
“Was greeted with a glass of water upon walking in. Definitely a nice touch. Great music, great atmosphere and the food smelled great but I only came for a beer lol nice prices too. I recommend either the "Thizzler on the Roof" cocktail or the Great Notion Ripe IPA. If You're on a layover at the Thruway of Emeryville Amtrak Station, I highly suggest walking that one block to this bar!!! Now I found a 'home' when traveling to and from work and stuck in a layover limbo“
“Really lovely food. The squid ink paella was fantastic. Also, the service was marvelous. Our server was casual and friendly but also wonderfully attentive to our dietary restrictions and allergies. We felt very well taken care of. Can't wait to go back!“
“Such a great experience!! I was with my mom and partner for a nice evening out and what a great dinner! We had the best time, with great service, amazing food and drinks/ and best of all was the live acoustic entertainment. Such a great evening! Will definitely be back.“
“Great cocktail bar for small groups. The Afro-lantio fusion makes for some delicious food! It’s safe to say I was not disappointed and will be coming back for more cocktails and food. The service here was wonderful. I sat at the bar and had a good time with talking with the bar tender and waitresses that walked past.Parking: Street parking available, free or paid depending on the time of day you park“
“Really enjoyed the format and flavors. The space is nice and the staff are helpful if they know you have a show- they asked proactively. The pricing hurt a little but overall would come back! Bonus for a tapas place with a good amount of veg friendly choices!“
“My fav chiliquiles in the bay! Amazing vegetarian food! Everything is fresh, homemade, delicious. The place is nice inside cute decor and clean with a beautiful patio. The people who work here are super nice and accomodatingVegetarian options: They make unique grilled veggies for tacos with black beans that are super yummy. Most places just give you beans and rice if you are veggie but this place has the most delicious sauteed veggies and also things like Chile reanos and lots of veggie options both vegan and vegetarian. All of it delicious. This is the best place to get vegetarian Mexican Food! Hands down!Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options! Tacos, plates, chiliquiles are all with gf corn tortillas.“
“Food is amazing as always! Chicken sliders and deviled eggs are my favorites! Bartenders are so responsive and nice. Music is good on nights they have a DJ. Otherwise, it’s someone’s phone playing their playlist lol. Sometimes good sometimes meh.“
“Late night to-go order of filet mignon pho, had to reheat the broth but debatably the best pho I’ve ever had. Adding the hoisin sauce takes away from the already delicious flavor, usually I add a little but it’s good on its own. Want to come back for more food and the bar next time. Service was fast, attentive and friendly, atmosphere was chill and looked upscale.“
“I'm so proud that this beautiful family is thriving in my city I call home. I attended a celebration for the life of my cousin but he was more like a brother "Chip" yesterday at this lovely establishment. The owners who are close friends with my cousin Al were in attendance and made sure everything went smoothly. The reason I HAD to write this review was because I thought the food was delicious and everyone seemed to have a great time. You didn't have to ask for anything. Thank you for a great afternoon and experience good luck with your business. I definitely want to do Brunch when I come back into town.“
“Such a cool spot serving unique, interesting and delicious wines. The food menu is light but appetizing and will satisfy any palette. If I were to build my perfect wine bar to hang out at, it would looked like this. It also helps that the staff makes a point to remember their regulars and make them feel welcome. Don't sleep on their wine club, I can promise you won't find wines like this elsewhere.Vegetarian options: They cater to both vegetarian and vegan palettes and have some gluten free options as well.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy entry, easy to navigate within the establishment, attentive staff if you need extra assistance“
“Flight delayed equals wine flights. Am I right? Yep, our flight was delayed by a ton in terminal one. So we decided to check Vino Volo out. We tried the red and white wine flights. I love how they have this option. It's great for indecisive people like me. Had to enjoy some meats and cheese of course. Our server was awesome and attentive. Such a great way to end a beautiful weekend. Ambiance is obviously loud af.“
“Been here twice, was good both times. The main draw of this place is the good value, especially with food becoming ever more expensive. The katsu curry served here is about $3 cheaper than I find at most other Japanese places for similar quality and quantity.“
“My favorite part of this establishment? The sound system. You will hear clean bass coming out of those speakers. I literally sat there, people watched, enjoyed the vibe, food and drinks. Everyone was super friendly, especially the owner. I really appreciated his hospitality. Even the security guards were super sweet. :) They were playing house music the night I visited EBXO. It was nice to see a different type of crowd here. I liked this place so much that my cousin will be hosting my bridal shower here! They have a catering menu!!! Ask about it...“
“Tried this place to the curious similarities to another restaurant I love. The chips and salsa are fresh, flavorful while not being too spicy. The popcorn chicken was an experience; it was too sweet on its own while the mango habanero salsa was too spicy but when combined together the flavor fireworks start popping and it's amazing. The enchiladas were some of the best I've ever had being super moist, tender, and just delicious. The shrimp tacos are huge, crispy, and absolutely scrumptious. In speaking with the manager I was pleased to hear the my suspicions were correct; Bar César is related to César and lives up to the name.“
“We went to watch the game and this place was packed and fun! Menu had a large variety of food and is very creative. I enjoyed the oxtail mac and cheese - creamy and delicious. The portions are large, and pricing im is fair. Service here is amazing, i will plan on going here more often.“
“The roast chicken and the black beans here are delicious. My wife and I make special trips here just to enjoy both. I’ve had other dishes here — tacos and enchiladas — and they’re good as well but those two basics are a powerful draw. Also, I just love the Emeryville Public Market.“
“If you are looking for delicious Japanese food and a chill vibe, all at a good price (for the Bay Area)? Look no further! I had a great time having lunch here with my wife and son. We had the Unagi-don, Okonomiyaki and Fried Chicken and they were all delicious and comparable to what we got in Japan. I am surprised that this restaurant has <4 review as I think it should at least be at 4.5. Highly recommend!“
“Menu have pictures to better illustrate the items which makes orderings easy especially for 1st time patrons. Service is fast and quick, they bring you hot tea right after you sit down. This is a eat and go sort of place, not great to chat or mingle. Parking is super easy even on the weekends. The staff speaks Cantonese, mandarin and English as well. Portions are generous as well.“
