“Out with the old avilas taqueria in with the new taqueria El Cohete 2... New restaurant with 🔥 tacos with that fresh hand made tortilla and bomb ass menudo on the weekend... so many options on the menu even burgers nachos sandwiches carne asada fries and breakfast! Family style with shared tables. 4 different groups of people in this photo and it's refreshing to see people talk with random people. Not a cell phone in sight other than mine taking this picture 😂“

“I stumbled into this restaurant after going for a run on a Monday. I saw that the burritos were only $7...got one and a shake...they were both so good. Ended up eating two burritos. The salsa's they have are also good. And the ladies there at the counter are very nice!“

“We hired Oscar one week before our event on 7/13/24 and he did not disappoint. His churros were delicious, flaky on the outside and nice and doughy on the inside. Even 4 hours later, the churros were still fresh and delicious. All of our party guests took goodie bags home from him. I will definitely look to hire him again for our next event. “It’s been so hot lately - pineapple green agua Fresca really hits the spot!
Love the fish tacos here- nice and crispy. Salsa verde on the side. We came around noon and there wasn’t a line.
Aloha club next door was open as well if you wanted to get drinks there.

“Home Sweet Home in a Mexican Restaurant. Small but quaint. Always greeted with smiles and a warm Holla or Hello. With food being chopped, cooked and prepared right in front of you, you feel like your at home with grandma while the small of food is coming. The food is excellent and the pieces are reasonable. On point. They feed The Bay.
Vegetarian options: You can request no meat or dairy. They have fish tacos or burritos as well if that's your dietary type.
Parking: There is plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessible.
Kid-friendliness: Kids are definitely welcome.

“It's not bad. Tacos de tripas. The tripas are almost on point but just really depends on the person I like them a little bit crunchy.
The only downside really was the portion size and the tortilla was a bit raw it didn't fully heat up. The other downside is the sauces.
The green sauce is not hot nor does it have flavor or salt it's just smushed sauce.
And the red one almost looks like ketchup texture with no flavor either. I could taste more the grease from the taco then the sauces.
Overall I'll say it's a 4 star the first time I showed up I wasn't a fan of it but this was years ago.
Add oil to the tortillas or tortillas all vapor also hits the spot.“

If you are into original non glamorous places with fantastic food, THIS WILL BE UP YOUR ALLEY! This is a family own restaurant with a full service bar adjacent room. The micheladas are insane! They have cool variety of imported beer and local to choose. The birria go some and the tiny been tacos will blow your mind.
Just watch out for the life mariachi bands if you don’t like loud music.“

“Chicken burrito was excellent. The chicken was perfectly seasoned. The carnitas tacos were good not as fresh as I'd like it to be but I did order later in the evening on a Saturday. I liked that the tortillas for my tacos weren't oily like other taco places. I would stop in again if I'm ever in the area.“

The churros are delicious in their own or with a variety of fillings. My favorite is the caramelo (caramel) filling that's made with goat milk. (It's like dulce de leche but warrrrrm.)
The people who run it are also the owners, which means they're invested in creating a friendly, community atmosphere and gladly cater to special requests.
Be prepared to pay either cash, use Zelle or get cash back from the nearby Mexican grocer. There's no option for card payments!“

The service is ok there in the middle for fast food because sometimes they have to many orders and they go really slow but over all it’s great . “Dang the food is delicious here yeah you can't get a margarita but there's a liquor store next door. You can get a michelada and pour some tequila that you got from next door in your drink. I got to tell you the enchiladas I had perfectly acidic not spicy so that you could add the spice you wanted to. The garden I saw that was super tasty char from being on the grill and full of flavor. I will definitely pick this place again over laughing at the any day. And it cost me about 25% less for a plate that was a hundred times better than La Piñata. .“
