“I visited Sirene on 4 occasions during my last visit to Oakland (only 48hours!) Each time was great in its own right. From excellent specialty coffee and breakfast/lunch fare, with a mix of self service made easy and convivial. At dinner gets even better - exotic and exquisite food and wine (what a list! Even by glass), well portioned and presented, all paired up with excellent service from David - guiding you from food through wine and sequencing it all for ultimate delight. A piano which a patron played on during my last lunch made it all the more memorable. A must try neighbourhood gem!“

“I bought the oyster combo with DoorDash and I absolutely loved the deep fried oysters. The fried breading was very tasty and the oysters tasted like they were cooked just right.

I chose potato salad for the side, I liked it, however, I do not know if they make it fresh.

The combo also comes with a Shasta brand soda, but cola and lemon lime are the only offered flavors.

I definitely want to order from here again.“

“I like this place quite a bit. All the food is fried to perfection and is all pretty distinct. Ordering is pretty simple just call or drop in and hang out about for a while. The service is also really friendly. What is a bit odd here is the patrons to the establishment. Interesting crowd lol, hell bent on getting their fried fish and chickens with plenty of attitude. Surely if they chilled out they would have a more positive pickip experience. Found that a bit odd lol be nice to folks who run this place.“

The owner is very nice and is always busy at work either helping up front or assisting in the back. The pot stickers are the big juicy hand made kind, with quality ingredients. It's surprisingly hard to find a good quality one that's not solely at a dim sum restaurant lately.“

“We stopped in got some Fish & Chips (cat fish) and Onion rings and soda.As a very picky Aussie who loves good Fish & Chips most stores here in the US I’d score at a 6/10 but this little hole in the wall shop it’s easy an 8/10 the chips where good size the fish was average size for all the US stores I’ve tried but this little store the batter was crispy and the fish cooked perfectly the onion rings where good the Chips where very good but I feel a few extra minutes in the oil would have made them a perfect Crispy outer and hot and fluffy“

The only thing that was really hard to figure out was parking. I spent like 30 minutes each time just going around the whole thing looking for parking. I also ordered a taco. When I saw how many ingredients were piled up on that taco and saw how the only way he could close that taco was to envelope it in aluminum foil I was amazed. But then when I picked up my bag containing one burrito and one taco I swear it was a couple of pounds! The burrito was huge! And delicious! “A great Japanese restuarant offering halal hibachi and sushi rolls. Small but cosy ambiance.
Personally love their dinner hibachi (Steak & chicken , steak & beef both). They serve hibachi with a soup and some salad which is great stuff. The spicy tuna rolls and the Californian rolls are worth the treat. I personally feel the hibachi serving should be slightly more but I don’t mind the current serving as well.
What I did not like was yakisoba, it had very less veges. Service overall is great. Must try if you’re looking for halal Japanese good food. However, it’s a bit pricy comparatively.“

“This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the Bay Area. Where else can you get authentic Bun Bo Hue and Mi Quang, except maybe San Jose and SF, and they give you a ton of veggies, unlike most restaurants. Plus you always get a grissly bone with your Bun Bo Hue, and pork blood, otherwise it wouldn't be authentic! If you like vietnamese food, you gotta come here. Trust me, I grew up eating vietnamese food and have been to Vietnam, including Da Nang, where my wife was born, and it doesn't get much better than this. 5 stars“
