“Personally, I love it, only that a couple of times they forget the tortillas and another two times they gave me a thigh with the bone peeled from the leg. Someone ate the chicken. I didn't want to complain because the food is good.
Kid-friendliness: The food is very good“

“The lady knows my voice! She automatically says Hola Josefina! Yesterday, she made me a lupus with cheese and CALABASITAS! She makes tamales. The chicken ones are so good. I bought a dozen at 10 am. took them home by 300pm they were gone. She takes orders ANYTIME and makes hundreds of them for CHRISTMAS! I love her!“

“Homey restaurant that serves up fresh homemade El Salvadoran food. Everything was fresh and good. The fried plantains with black beans and eggs with fresh tortillas I feel we're meant for pupusas which works for me. CASH ONLY. Street parking only with locals as most customers like myself. Hole in the wall special!! And know the homeless try to come in and beg for money which is interesting because the paying customers just ignore. Provecho.“

“This a great place for pupusas.I had both a loroco and a revuelta pupusa. The loroco was very cheesy and had a very nice light veggie taste from the blossoms. The revuelta was full of flavor and not overly salty. The cortiodo had a nice bite to it and a pleasant balance between the herbs and vinegar.I also had a tamale de elote, it tasted very fresh. It came with crema and beans, and was a nice finish to my lunch.I think they make their own tamarindo Agua fresca - it had a nice tartness without being overly sweet.“

“The atmosphere is quiet and there is a table for billiards and jukeboxes with a tremendous sound! Isabel is a beautiful person, very kind and courteous, I used a friend called El Negro (Good vibes) my experience was very good here I recommend this place if you are looking for shade by night...“

“The food was great, service not so great my server will take forever to check on tables and make sure if everything was good . Also when I asked for something she will forget. The place inside was so hot they need air condition or at list a fan. I recommend to call for a pick up order instead do not dine in.“

“Food is really good, delicious popusas!“
“It's a very mom and pop shop, but they are worth a visit!
I've only had the pupusa so far, but I am excited to try their other dishes as everything smells extraordinary.
The pupusa were cooked perfectly, with that little bit of crispy edges! So good!
Their curtido was really fresh too! I normally like a pickle curtido but theirs was really fresh and nice!
The salsa roja was really nice too.
Everything made sense together and was quite delicious!
I can't wait to try more and thank you so much!“

“Anytime we come to the LA area, a stop at El Metapaneco is absolutely mandatory. The food and family atmosphere is top notch. The pupusa's are hands down the best I have ever tasted, and I married into a Salvadorian family! If you like pupusa's, you'll LOVE El Metapaneco!“

Will definitely come here again to try all the different pupusas they have in their menu“

“My first time trying the pupusas and they were amazing! I got the revuelta, queso con loroco, and calabaza, they were all big and filled with the tasty filling. I also got the Salvadoran horchata and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. Really sweet service, I would come back.“

“Absolutely amazing, so many authentic dishes you can choose from. Pupusas, gorditas, cocktails, let me mention an awesome take out deal on the pupusas 10 for $10. Budget friendly and won't break the bank for real flavors that make you return to La Ceiba. They have karaoke during the week, people seem to love the drink specials in the evening.“
