“This a great place for pupusas.I had both a loroco and a revuelta pupusa. The loroco was very cheesy and had a very nice light veggie taste from the blossoms. The revuelta was full of flavor and not overly salty. The cortiodo had a nice bite to it and a pleasant balance between the herbs and vinegar.I also had a tamale de elote, it tasted very fresh. It came with crema and beans, and was a nice finish to my lunch.I think they make their own tamarindo Agua fresca - it had a nice tartness without being overly sweet.“

“Homey restaurant that serves up fresh homemade El Salvadoran food. Everything was fresh and good. The fried plantains with black beans and eggs with fresh tortillas I feel we're meant for pupusas which works for me. CASH ONLY. Street parking only with locals as most customers like myself. Hole in the wall special!! And know the homeless try to come in and beg for money which is interesting because the paying customers just ignore. Provecho.“

“I have had pupusas all over the Los Angeles area. These are worth driving to Long Beach for. They are absolutely fantastic and the best I’ve had in the last eight years of traveling to LA. The fillings are very generous, and the slaw is excellent. The frijoles are so silky, smooth, and perfectly seasoned, I’m pretty sure angels eat them. Next time I come to LA I’m driving to Long Beach to come here.“
“Always a great vibe and delicious food! Los platos fuertes (like the Bistec Encebollado) are 🔥🔥🔥. Will absolutely recommend to others.“

“The lady knows my voice! She automatically says Hola Josefina! Yesterday, she made me a lupus with cheese and CALABASITAS! She makes tamales. The chicken ones are so good. I bought a dozen at 10 am. took them home by 300pm they were gone. She takes orders ANYTIME and makes hundreds of them for CHRISTMAS! I love her!“

“Personally, I love it, only that a couple of times they forget the tortillas and another two times they gave me a thigh with the bone peeled from the leg. Someone ate the chicken. I didn't want to complain because the food is good.
Kid-friendliness: The food is very good“

“Muy buena comida y económica“
“It's a very mom and pop shop, but they are worth a visit!
I've only had the pupusa so far, but I am excited to try their other dishes as everything smells extraordinary.
The pupusa were cooked perfectly, with that little bit of crispy edges! So good!
Their curtido was really fresh too! I normally like a pickle curtido but theirs was really fresh and nice!
The salsa roja was really nice too.
Everything made sense together and was quite delicious!
I can't wait to try more and thank you so much!“

“This pupusería had the BEST spicy salsa anywhere in LB and neighboring areas. It's so good and goes great on their pupusas or anything else. Their pupusas are also really good. Highly recommend to call in your order in advance and BE PATIENT. They're made fresh and do take a while. A lot of the bad reviews for this restaurant are their wait times so just be patient! It's worth it and reasonably priced.“

“My first time trying the pupusas and they were amazing! I got the revuelta, queso con loroco, and calabaza, they were all big and filled with the tasty filling. I also got the Salvadoran horchata and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. Really sweet service, I would come back.“

“5 stars to the food, it tastes really good and ingredients are good quality. This is my favorite spot to get Salvadorian breakfast.
Service is not great they are very dry and direct. And also they take their time making the food. I highly suggest to call and order ahead.“

“I had a craving for pupusas and found this place through Google Maps-and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the pupusas rancheras, which came with two huge chicharrón pupusas-honestly, the biggest I’ve ever had. They were served with a side of refried black beans, Central American-style sour cream, two sweet banana slices, and a rich red sauce that tied everything together perfectly.
Everything was absolutely delicious, and the service was warm and welcoming. I’m definitely planning to come back and will be recommending this place to my friends and family. Highly recommend!“

“I ordered the Huevos with green and red sauce. The green is very hot. It tastes great. Everything is excellent. The rice and beans have a different taste than Mexican and I like it a lot. Mmmm the fried plantains are so good and Salvadorian tortillas I enjoyed very much. I highly recommend the breakfast that I had.“

“We just had a pork and cheese pupusa, a revuelta (pork, beans, cheese) pupusa and a side order of refried beans. What a delicious meal!! I’ve been to El Salvador twice and I have had pupusa‘s in a lot of places in the United States. The pupusas at Paquitas are authentic and just so delicious. For sure, that is my comfort food! The refried beans it’s exactly what I have had El Salvador. I asked the lady at the counter what kind of beans they use and she said they buy beans from El Salvador in Los Angeles. I can totally taste the difference. They were so great I highly recommend this restaurant.“
