“Minimalist, Asian-run sandwich shop in otherwise desolate industrial area. Good selection of offerings: sandwiches, wraps, plates of all kinds. The tuna salad on toasted wheat bread was good but a bit on the small side. The Asian "plate of the day" was teriyaki chicken, vegetables and rice. Tender and juicy, the chicken was cooked just right. Prices seem a bit on the high side considering the neighborhood. Service was fast. A good place to grab a bite.“
“Hungry and I wanted real food from a Black owned place. I searched Google and this was closer to me! I passed at first as it is small and rainy. Parked and went in. Immediately greeted by waitress casually and inviting! The head cook looked intently as I can imagine the different encounters.? She inquired was I dining in or to go I said in. Whipped out the menu and utensils and sat anywhere is fine. Placed an order for hot chocolate and use the restroom. Came back ordered. My food arrived quickly, hot , with flare ! Let me just say- I’m not a breakfast person but will definitely come here ANYTIME I’m near! Thanks to staff’s hospitality & PLEASE keep the same COOK! He got skillz ✊??“
“This place is okay to eat breakfast at any time. I wish they could have more options on the menu. Maybe add more steak and chicken dish. I've been there and I usually order classic burger with fries and I order pancakes ?.Parking: They have parking or street parking is a easy to find.“
“The Bayside Cafe in Sausalito has so many delicious meals to choose from. So fresh and look at the beautiful presentation! Every time I dine here, the food is top quality as is the service and staff. Another thing I love about this place is how meticulous they are, the place always looks great, they do a great job to keep it clean and well maintained. Thank you Bayside, can't wait for my next visit!“
“Went for a morning drive to Sausalito from San Francisco. I hadn’t been to this town in ages & wanted to revisit this charming town. I googled places for breakfast & Fred’s looked promising so we headed there. There’s a small shared parking lot next to the cafe & plenty of street parking. It’s a small cafe with some outdoor seating & it was pretty busy on Saturday morning. We were seated at a large shared table with two other people. They didn’t mind & neither did we. Extensive menu- I’d read the most popular items are the lemon ricotta pancakes, egg plate with sweet bacon, deep fried French toast & the Swedish, but looking at fellow customers plates who’d ordered some of the dishes, I decided I could not eat such large portions! I went for the single berry waffle & my husband ordered the veggie omelette. The waffle was delicious; only wish the syrup they served was realMaple syrup. I don’t eat the fake stuff so I skipped it. The omelette was very nice & came with toast & hash browns. We had ordered cappuccino & laughed when we saw the size of the “cup” - almost like a mini bathtub! I’m fussy about my coffee & this one just ok.Overall, a nice little place to enjoy breakfast before walking down to the marina & town center.“
“Ordered the shrimp po' boy sandwich. There was a big pile of fried shrimp and French fries. The sandwich was excellent, delicious fried shrimp, zesty pickles, and tasty remoulade sauce. French fries were cooked perfectly, served nice and hot. The ice tea did not taste good at all, traded it in for a cup of hot tea. They leave the front door wide open, which makes it rather cold inside. Service was good. The real star here is the food. A little bit on the pricey side, but you get your money's worth. I recommend The Hummingbird Cafe“
“On the come up! You wouldn't know it from the street but this place is a gem. Definitely one of the better breakfast spots in town. I think they would make a killing if they switched out the Goodwill art and added a smoothie bowl, oatmilk, Gluten Free + marketed it to families with littles. There would be a line out the door. Super yummy and clean egg white omelet was so good, piping hot and the staff were all smiling and helpful.“
“I live in Sausalito incase anyone thinks I’m a regular and I’m trying to plug a friend’s place or whatever. This is the best breakfast in Marin. Food is so fresh and the staff are exceptional. I work in the service industry and don’t usually leave reviews. Really evident team culture and refreshing attitudes all round. Well done to all!“
