“Have dined at Le Chalet Basque for more than 20 years. Our recent meal with lamb chops, fresh vegetables, mashed potatoes and split pea soup served with crumbled blue cheese salad couldn't have been better. Fresh ingredients, great wine and excellent service will keep us returning again and again.“

“Food is ok. Not really my style, but the corn bread is top notch. 10/10 for that. The fried chicken was bland though. No flavor to it. Tasted like i was eating fried chicken that was just deep friend with no seasoning. Other than that, service was good, good ambiance, outdoor seating/indoor seating.
If you want a quiet sleeping town vibe with a chill vibe then this is the place.
Little bit on the pricey side.
Food: 6.5/10
Cleanliness(restaurant/bathroom): 9/10
Ambiance: 8.5/10

“Food was good as usual. Valet parking is a joke. One poor guy was both parking and retrieving cars six people deep on both ends. The tiny lot is right there in front of us. ie no valet even needed if keys were turned in and retrieved by drivers themselves. Stupid system. The valet liked it though, as he made more money this way.“

“Had such a lovely meal this past Friday. I love the current menu and the options - particularly the goat cheese salad. Service was fast but not rushed at all and Mike made a birthday celebration super special without even being asked! Can’t wait to make this a regular spot.“

“10/10. Far exceeded expectations. Best steak frites and tarte tatin I’ve ever had in the Bay Area combined with beautiful views and service that isn’t rushed. It’s very obvious that this is a French-run establishment in the best possible way.“

“Five star! Highly recommend! Such a great place to hang out and the food is absolutely amazing.. expect to wait a little so your best bet is to get a croissant or one of the pastries ready to eat while you wait for your order. It is totally worth the wait! We did go on a Saturday and it was busy, not sure if it’s always that way. Crepes are delicious! Eggs Benedict are so good and the croissant sandwiches are amazing. Can’t pick my favorite.“
