“We were there on a slow Tuesday morning. Right away, we chose the table closest to the fireplace. The waiter was so kind and provided great service. The veggie omelet was very good, but THE PANCAKES WERE THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. We made sure we let the waiter know they were excellent. We will be sure to order the pancakes again next time we make it to San Simeon.

“Breaking down the stars on this one! 5 stars - Food was excellent. kudos to the chef. 4 stars - Service very good...kudos for the bus boy who delivered napkins on his own after I sneezed, but had not asked for them. Waiter was pleasant and fairly attentive, but could use instruction on what is called suggestive selling. He definitely offered desserts, which we were going to turn down regardless, but suggestive selling a little different. (just a suggestion) My 1 star downgrade. 1 star - Neither my wife nor I drink alcohol. I ordered a Pomegranate lemonade, my wife simply water. I can "somewhat" understand 1 refill only on most of the non-alcoholic beverages! My particular beverage was not allowed a refill however. With normal size restaurant beverage glasses that is usually enough for most people per meal anyways! And along with the type of restaurant, I can understand having select beverages in keeping with the menu and customer target. But I DO NOT understand the kid size glass it came in...and at a fairly high price for a non-alcoholic beverage as well to along with no refill at all! At that price, I really was not encouraged to refill it, even once. It is as the saying goes "Penny wise but pound foolish!" If you do not drink wine or beer, but non-alcoholic drinks, and are stretching the budget a little to enjoy a better restaurant, might want to do what my wife did, a glass of water.“

“My family and I came here for Easter lunch. Between us, we ordered the short rib tartine, the salad nicoise, and the croque monsieur. Everything was absolutely delicious! Our server was so sweet and attentive. The prices were surprisingly good! My mom and I go to Cambria often as we only live 25-35 minutes away. We will definitely be back“

“It was amazing. My husband and I both had the NY steak with potatoes and broccoli. It was prepared with a wine glaze. We also had a side salad and blackberry cheesecake that was made on site. We will be back for sure. It had been recommended and we had not gotten there, now on our go to.“

“We love this place! The staff is so friendly, the food is great, and the bakery is awesome! My husband loves the chicken fried steak but I highly recommend either the avacado toast or the roasted vegetables with polenta. Don't leave without trying the olallieberry cream puff, yum!“

“Amazing brunch/ breakfast spot. Reasonable prices especially with it being in the area. We got the two egg breakfast with bacon and a biscuit (so fluffy and warm 10/10) and a bacon burger. Had the sweetest waitress and overall the restaurant was so cute and honestly would come again for when we visit again.“

They offer a decent collection of local craft beer, and also some wine, cider and cocktails for those who accompany the beer lovers.

They also stash some XX, coors, and modelo for those who accidentally made it to the venue taking a wrong turn.

“the food here is great! my family and I got food from here today, and ordered pickup. they have a bunch of options to choose from. the BBQ Ribs are very tender, and we had great experience with the Pulled Pork Sandwich, Tacos, and Burger. I definitely recommend coming here if you are around in Cambria, CA.“

“The Corvettes of Bakersfield visited Cambria Pines Lodge on Sunday, July 9th for a lovely brunch in the garden room. We had 15 cars and a group of 30. We were welcomed by Angel, who took some group pics for us and led us to a perfectly set room ready to accommodate our group! Everyone enjoyed the mimosas and bloody Mary’s as well as our brunch choices. Our servers were attentive and did a great job! After brunch, we ventured out to the garden and played the assorted lawn games - lots of fun. Several members booked rooms to stay over and enjoyed the resort! “If I could give no stars I would. I’m so upset about this experience. It has been the worst I’ve ever been through! I booked with this hotel back in September for a stay in October for my 35th birthday. They called and canceled because of “remodeling” so end of October comes and I didn’t get the confirmation yet. I called and the were SO rude! “Hi what do you want?” ( rude!) I explained the situation they said oh ok let me help. We got it figured out only to get confirmation for one room! And mind you had to reschedule for November! Ok so we will celebrate our anniversary. I called Roger back and the front desk said “ who are you and why do you want Roger?” Ummm excuse me? So this happened literally FIVE fricken times. Then today I see they charged me three times for my room and one time for the other room. I call, and they said what? No only twice. And I said No I am looking at my account now and it’s three times and said well I’ll talk to my accountant. I’m so upset because my husband called and they wouldn’t work with us and cancelled our room! They gave me all but one charge back. This has been the worst experience of our lives in booking with a room! Thanks for ruining my birthday and anniversary weekend. Fuck YOU!“

“I always look forward to a meal at this homey place. My friend from his Cambrian days, John Brannon, recommended the hamburgers, and even though I was primed for breakfast I had the Mushroom Burger. Delicious, and the friendly waitress volunteered that I could order onion rings instead of fries at no additional charge. It was a great choice!“

“We walked three miles on new years day 2025 to get a pizza, hoping they would be open. Been coming here since 2003 and they have yet to disappoint us. We give them five stars across the board! Thank you for the great service! Until next time...“
