“MONDAY FOOD REVIEW...PUESTO...6/17/24! After leaving California's Great America, we stopped for lunch at Puesto, a Mexican/American restaurant, located at 2752 Augustine Dr., in Santa Clara. This restaurant features Mexican dishes with an American flare infusion! I had their their Shrimp a la Plancha, which is Mexican shrimp, garlic butter, red onions, jalapeños, guajillo chile, avocado, and Tamarindo-chile sauce, and it comes with herb lime rice, black beans, and blue corn tortillas. This was absolutely fabulous!!! It wasn't your typical Mexican dish...the different ingredients they used to create this dish all blended together VERY well!!! If you are looking for a little something different to satisfy your Mexican food craving, and want some added flair, then this is THE restaurant to go to!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!! “We tried the Vada Pav, Missal Pav, Pav Bhaji and Bharli Vangi (stuffed eggplant) and puranpoli - all of them were 10/10. Although we had to wait a while for our turn (a good sign), the service was quick once we had the table. Highly recommend and we'll be back next time we are in Santa Clara!“

I won't lie their poke was pretty underwhelming and for the portions and all, it wasn't worth the pricing in my opinion.

However I'm giving them 5 stars due to their sushi rolls, great value and taste, would recommend them for the sushi unironically and not their poke.“

“Came on Wednesday for happy hour, and they were busy! They only had 2 servers working, but they were very efficient! We ordered the black garlic tonkatsu and intense mala broths. Both were really good! The mala broth wasn’t too spicy (even though we ordered extra spicy). The meats were great, and I especially enjoyed the Wagyu and beef toro cuts. They had a large selection of sides and veggies as well. I’d definitely come again, and happy hour pricing is so worth it!“

Great for snacking if you're in the area but don't make a pilgrimage for it. The service is prompt but you'll have trouble finding parking in the area. Great for a little date, it's clean but there's not a lot of seating. It's fairly sweet as well, so I would just share my taco.“

“First off, the staff is incredibly attentive. I was greeted by three different people within 5 minutes of sitting down! They made sure I had a drink ASAP and were kind enough to come over to where I was sitting and take my order, even though I'm pretty sure you go up to the counter to place orders.

“This is the first time to dine in the restaurant. We ordered 3 items to share: a huge Omelette Rice, a curry rice and a ramen. Omelette rice was delicious, beef curry soup was different from others as it had only beef, no others. Ramen was also good. Good service, too.

“Sushi O Sushi is amazing!! We usually drop in for lunch and a couple times for dinner. We get the bento boxes with teryaki chicken, California rolls, and sashimi (tuna or salmon) the miso soup is great and the salad with that delicious dressing is perfect. We always stop here and you shoukd definitely give it a try.“
