“I don’t review things often, but this place deserves a review. The chef is an artist. We have eaten at Full Steam many times, gone to pop-ups, and farmers markets. His food is amazing. It isn’t traditional, it is leveled up. Yes, it ain’t cheap. Every time I pay I cringe a bit. But then when I eat I remember why it costs what it does. The broths are complex. The dumplings are robust. And the side gigs like his Pho pop up and Bahn Mi are special. And weird hack, I’m not a vegetarian at all, but some of the vegetarian dishes are better than his meat dishes. I hope they keep at it. As a foodie I think Full Steam is an important part of making SC a great place to live.“
“Kaito is such wonderful ramen and sushi. I sure do miss their 41st location but am grateful they found a way to survive the pandemic and moved into the mall. Their ramen is my favorite for a cozy night at home with a movie. I love the spicy miso raman, spicy garlic and black garlic raman. Also their gluten free ramen is not just rice noodles! Its really great!!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free ramen !“
“We stopped by Sapporo Ramen after a day at Capitola Beach, and we were very hungry. My daughter and I both got our own bowls of ramen and an order of gyoza. The gyoza was top tier, very crunchy with a healthy portion of filling, and the sauce complimented them well. When our ramen arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the bowls and the portions of meat. One bowl had a large fried chicken leg in it, and the other had an abundance of pork belly. It was definitely a unique style! Everything was very fresh and delicious. The broth could've been a little more flavorful for my taste. The spicy miso in particular didn't have any kick to it. Nice little restaurant with a few tables to dine it at. Will definitely come back next time we are in Capitola!“
“This place was such a great place for some authentic japanese ramen!! I had the shio-ramen and it was just perfect! the broth was soo good, so was the noodle, back choy and pork slices that were in the ramen! everything just went well together! I would totally come back here again. my friends also had spicy miso ramen! they said it's super good but not as spicy as you think! my other friend had shoyu ramen! they said it was really good considering shoyu ramen is not that common around here! Overall a great place for ramen! the ambience was super cool and lots of people in the restaurant! Also there's a lot of options to choose from! Definitely a best place to go if you're craving some real good ramen :)“
