“Arrived just after they locked up. And they were kind enough to unlock and pour me a glass of petit Syrah. Which is just as bold and dry as promised (and the clear lavender tones are a surprise and a delight). I almost missed stopping here. Don’t. Perfect end to a perfect day.“
“Volcan mountain winery has the best wines, nothing compares to their wine or their hospitality. Mel is the best!“
“This was a wonderful place to visit. The owner, retired British chemist. John Saunders, is a very pleasant host. He will tell you everything you want to know about his wine making process. He uses at least eight different Italian grapes which I counted. A few of the wines were a little too dry for our taste, but the BPx and the newly minted Barbera were excellent. The view is spectacular as well. Best value tasting out there for sure.“
“Great experience at VGJ. It was a beautiful days, the wines were delicious, I think his name was Jacque(?) (the husband) was so kind and I loved hearing his stories, and we got to play with "Bad dog #3" who is the prettiest lady ever.
Wines wise, this is a gem winery with great wines at affordable prices.
(+) Sauvignon Blanc - very gentle notes of minerality and smoothness
(+) Volantis - we bought a bottle of this cab blend
(+) Cab sauv
(+) Negroamaro
(+) Whiskey syrah - also bought a bottle of this to take home
Would definitely come again! Thank you for having us.“
“This weekend I visited Milagro and it was perfect! Ellie was so on top of it. Booking a tour, the follow up and the contract was all so easy. They are very prepared and organized which made me feel 100 times better. I feel very confident having my wedding here and cant wait! Thank you team at Milagro!“
“A must visit for good quality wine lovers. Specifically enjoyed their estate Syrah, Petite Sirah and Cabernet. We recently came across this place by pure chance on a trip to the area and ended up staying for several hours enjoying the wine and company of Beth the owner and friends. Leaving with a full case of wine. We had the perfect wine tasting experience in their rustic 'shackteau' overlooking the rolling hills and vines. A prime example that good quality wines are made with passion in the vineyards, and not in the large estates with all their added fuss.“
“Great flatbreads, refreshing wines. Impressive views! We'll be back.“
“Had a great time! Delicious wine, beautiful scenery, lots of stuff to do. The staff are super friendly and knowledgable. There’s a bunch of old farm equipment to see, a friendly horse, an adorable little dog…it was all so relaxing. If you’re in the area make sure to check them out!“

“Stopped specifically so daughter could sample Julian Hard Cider in Root Beer flavor not sold in retail outlets. No AC just fans on a warm day so it got stuffy pretty quick. Provide sample flights that appear pretty popular. I understand the Root Beer Hard Cider was good!“

“Great way to spend an afternoon. We had a fun tour of the winery, learned how they process their grapes with their unique setup. Take the tour to find out.
The tasting was a treat with the option of tasting all the wines in their collection, which allows you to do a vertical tasting, just the older vintages, newer vintages or the tour preferred varietal.“
