“Wow! My new all-time favorite Mediterranean restaurant. As soon as you walk in the aromas from the kitchen are just astonishing. The space is warm and welcoming. Even on the Wednesday after Thanksgiving, it was filled with happy people sitting at the bar and tables eating and enjoying camaraderie. Since it was my first time, I ordered the six side dish sampler and every single one was phenomenal. The hummus is a garlicky herbed slice of heaven. The baba ghanoush is without a doubt the best I have ever tasted. Then there was an eggplant dish with maple syrup and pomegranate seeds that just explodes with deliciousness. I had the beet salad with goat cheese and it's just delightful. Since I was alone, I was limited as to how many items I could try, but I cannot wait to come back with my family and order up a storm! Thank you Tamra Mediterranean grill for a truly exceptional dining experience.“

We got the brisket burger and the fries with all the toppings and it was amazing. 3 year old got the chicken nuggets, normally very picky and will only eat a few bites, she LOVED them and ate them all! The handmade lemonade was perfectly sweet. We got the strawberry and the peach flavors. Loved them so much I booked them for a work event and they were a HUGE hit! Thank you for great service“

“Just went here for lunch with a group of friends and it was outstanding! The food was superb, the owners/servers super friendly, and the space is very airy and inviting for such a small restaurant. One of my friends ordered almost everything on the menu for the table, and there wasn’t a bad bite on the table. Standouts included the falafel, lamb shawarma, whole fried cauliflower, and the mansaf. Tea and baklava were also delectable. I’m super excited to come back and try the few remaining things on the menu I didn’t get to sample!“

“It was not just the food which is delicious btw, but the experience that you get by visiting this small restaurant. They have small Bosnian antique corner which holds many stories. You can just feel the love they have for their food and culture. Staff and owner were extremely friendly . I highly recommend“

“What a freaking gem. This spot gives off serious LA or NYC vibes right in the heart of downtown SJ. The decor alone deserves a shoutout: stunning tall ceilings, gorgeous wood and metal accents, natural tones, and even a couple of olive tree centerpieces that ties it all together in a sleek, contemporary way. If you need a date night spot, try to lock in a reservation here.

The elevator bar is probably one of the most unique features I've ever seen, shuttling bottles of liquor from the downstairs bar to the loft bar. The loft area wasn't open yet, but I could already picture it being the perfect place to pre-game and soak in the energy from the restaurant below.

The food is dialed in. New American with a Mediterranean twist. The open kitchen concept is a nice touch, letting you watch your dishes as they're being prepared. Highly recommend ordering family style to share. The octopus is an absolute must--tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The lobster pasta was decadent - pricey, but you get huge chunks of lobster that makes it worthwhile. We also ordered the monster ribeye topped with some insane butter, cooked medium rare. If you have a group of 4 or more, do it.

The drinks were fantastic, though more subdued in flavor compared to their other concepts like Paper Plane or Mini Boss. I'd recommend dinner at Eos & Nyx, then cap off the night with a cocktail at one of their other bars.

This is a game-changer for downtown SJ. It really reminded me of Bavel in downtown LA, one of my favorite restaurants ever. Excited to see this place finally open!“

“I’ve been coming here weekly for years. Nur has a wide variety of tasty Turkish foods, from omelets & gyros & salmon salads to lamb kebabs & Nutella crepes. I highly recommend.

Vegetarian options: In addition to food in the vegetarian section, many items are vegetarian or vegan, or can be ordered vegetarian or vegan. The mousaka can be ordered vegan, removing the cheese. Vegetarian items include the veggie kebab and vegetable combo.

It wasn’t until my most recent experience where I began to think “could Larry be the owner” of this store? I wasn’t sure if this was a chain or not, I just love the cuisine. I must say, when I come to this store, I used to say “I wonder if my friend is there today” when i can now say “I wonder if Larry is there?” As a small business owner, I know value! “The quality of the food from Falafel Stop is really good: the falafels are a significant step above Falafel Drive-in and especially Oren’s. The vegan food is prepared at a separate counter from the meat. During the lunch rush, sometimes the owner will walk around with a plate of falafels to hand out to folks waiting in line. Weekdays at lunch get busy: there’s a high school across the street. Parking can get tricky, especially because the owner seems to have a thing for antique cars and sometimes parks his Cybertruck across a few spots when he’s around. Since they enclosed the patio seating, it’s a bit nicer (no fending off pigeons) but the ambiance is still pretty lacking. It’s right next to a 10-lane highway and can get pretty hot during the summer. But the food is great. My favorite is to order the falafel salad with three extra pita (one comes with it) and then you can make 4 falafels for the cost of 2. Make sure to get medium spice and the peppers if you can tolerate some heat. The fries are very hit or miss, for some reason. Sometimes they’re nice and crispy with a pleasant seasoning. But often they’re only salted and feel soggy. Not sure why. You order inside and then take your receipt to another line to the right for them to make the food. For some reason, ordering via DoorDash in the evenings gets you a little crispy cauliflower on the falafel salad? Not bad but strange. Also weird is the cafe that seems abandoned next door. I guess that didn’t work out for them or was just too confusing.“

“We booked a large group meeting (20 people) that grew to 28 people. The team handled the change quickly and we never really had any delays. I felt bad that the server didn't have much help but she did a great job and I really appreciated her hard work. Food was good as always, especially the steak skewers appetizers. “We ordered the house combo and it was very tasty. It came with 4 meats(chicken,beef,gyro ,koftedes). All of the meat was juicy,tender and well seasoned. The rice. was fluffy ans delicious. The mixed green salad had tomatoes amd cucumber and was topped with a pickled cabbage and dressed to perfection. I only had a small bite of the pita because rhe meal was so filling. I can't wait to try the baklava we ordered. What a great find. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant.“

“So here’s the thing, the location or restaurant is nothing to rave about BUT it’s a hidden gem and quite frankly I don’t understand the negative reviews.

The service was good and I have no complaints about it because the lady was hospitable.

The food is excellent in my opinion. I ordered the gorgan chicken and koobideh kebab and rice and it was wonderful. The seasoning and flavor on both kebabs was perfect and paired with the mast-khair it just was harmony.

My only criticism is the kashk bademjan but I am willing to overlook that because the entree was awesome.
