“The San Pedro location, unfortunately, wasn’t accepting online orders, so I made the trek to the Long Beach location. Thankfully, this location was accepting online orders, sparing me a 6 a.m. pastry pilgrimage. I scheduled a 12:45 p.m. pickup but didn’t arrive until 1:45 p.m., so I won’t fault the pastries if they weren’t piping hot.

Colossus Bakery on 2nd Street sits near some of my favorite Long Beach spots, like Holey Grail Donuts and Win-Dow. I ordered three items: a cardamom bun, kouign amann, and pecan sticky bun, eaten in that order, which also reflects my ranking.

The cardamom bun was delicious: the spice came through without overpowering the pastry. It was denser and doughier than the light, airy pastries I usually favor, but still excellent. The kouign amann was similarly dense, though each bite had a satisfying audible crispness. The pecan sticky bun lived up to its sticky reputation with plenty of nuts, though it ended up my least favorite of the three (but still very good).

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my pastries. I imagine they’d be even better fresh or warmed, and I can’t wait to work through the rest of the menu. Colossus Bakery has officially joined my elite Los Angeles/Long Beach pastry rotation. Highly recommended!“

“I live two blocks away and this bakery has single-handedly destroyed my self-control in the BEST way possible. The brownie bites (pandan, strawberry, ube-Oreo) are life-changing. I buy a box thinking “I’ll save some for later” and then 45 minutes later they’re gone and I’m happier than I’ve ever been.
These brownies are pure joy. Serotonin in dessert form. When they closed for a week after the holidays, I experienced real emotional damage.

I would take a master class, but honestly it’s safer for society if I don’t learn because I would simply become a brownie.

Also the iced vanilla oatmeal cookie? Elite. Legendary. The bomb dot com.

“I was lucky enough to get a free sample of a chocolate chip cookie at crumbl and it was delicious! The young man who helped me out at the register was very accommodating and friendly! Here to try other flavors and I'm going to ask if they have vegan versions of cookies as well!“

“Food here is outstanding! We picked our food to go for an impromptu picnic at the park and enjoyed eveything. The carbonara was a knock out, very rich and decadent. All the pastries were yum, but the morning bun was our favorite. And the sandwiches are so well constructed with bread that was obviously baked fresh.

Only thing ill say is the patio is not good for large parties so if you intend to dine in, the seating there it ideal for parties of 2 or 4.“

The bakery itself is a sight to behold, with its vast expanse of baked goods and an open kitchen that showcases their delectable creations. We indulged in a variety of items, including almond croissant, cinnamon croissant, chicken sandwich, eclair, cream cheese guava strudels, chicken croquettes, spinach puff pastry, biscuits, chicken empanadas, and wheat bread.

The biscuits were a standout, filled with gooey caramel and chocolate. The eclair was a melt-in-your-mouth masterpiece. Every bite was a blissful experience, thanks to the freshly baked, warm pastries.

While the chicken sandwich was a bit of a letdown compared to the other pastries, it was still enjoyable. Overall, this bakery offers an amazing experience and is definitely worth a visit.“

“I went in looking for a sweet treat and walked out with the tastiest oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. I canvased the staff asking which cookie was best and Eric assured me it’s the chocolate chip cookie. Gabby backed him up. I was skeptical. How could an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie with such small chocolate chips have enough chocolate? WELL…. Turns out the mini chips are baked into the center creating a perfectly soft and chocolatey cookie. Shout out to Eric and Gabby for being honest and having fun. 10/10 recommend.“

“I’ve always enjoyed the cheesecake at Ohh Bakery, but this time I tried their fresh cream cake. The chiffon sponge was incredibly soft, and the fresh cream tasted so light and delicious. You can really tell they use very fresh ingredients. On top of that, the cake prices are amazing. I’m so happy that Ohh Bakery opened—great taste and great prices!

“My husband and I had sweet traders provide a small cutting cake and dessert station for our wedding of 160+ guests. Working with them was extremely simple and the desserts were amazing! We did a quick cake tasting to pick our small cake and were able to taste some of the desserts for our dessert station. They had a ton of options, so it was hard to narrow it down because they were all so good! I received so many compliments about the dessert on our wedding day and they portioned everything really well. We even had some left overs which we were able to share with family and bring home after the wedding! We were also able to rent a cake stand, dessert stands and were are so glad we did because the arrangements were beautifully displayed and we didn’t even have to think about it on our wedding day. Sweet Traders even includes an anniversary cake and we are so looking forward to it next year! I couldn’t recommend Sweet Traders more and know that you will be in the best hands. “Starbread has the one and only señorita bread, they make them fresh and they are warm fluffy Salty and sweet 😋 so delicious! If you have not tried you must. They offer different types which includes Nutella, cream cheese, etc. They also have other selections of donuts. You won't be disappointed if you like Vietnamese sweets.“

I get the chorizo w/egg he gets the ham w/egg. Everything taste good the bolillo taste good on its own. Plus we recently tried there Guatemalan breakfast everything on that plate was amazing. I do want to try one of their smoothies next time. Total cost for 1/2 dozen donuts, two blended mochas, and a #7 was about $21 if I'm not mistaken. So yeah, hella worth the price.“
