“At this Mexican restaurant, the culinary journey begins with a tantalizing array of flavors. The chicken, tender and marinated to perfection, offers a succulent bite, while the carne asada, grilled to smoky charred perfection, teases the palate with its robust, meaty essence. Each dish, from the savory tacos to the hearty burritos, is meticulously prepared, blending traditional spices and fresh ingredients to create a memorable dining experience. The vibrant atmosphere and warm service only enhance the feast, making every visit a delightful adventure in taste.“
“Went to this place with my husband three days ago barely got free to post this review. The food was great very authentic and the service was great as well. We will definitely go back even signed up for the rewards program in case we wanna order takeout.“
“By far the best califries you can get and the best churros.Califries are amazing cause you can pick 2 meats. They have a wonderful bean and cheese burrito. I enjoy that they have pickled carrots and jalapeño, beans, cucumber and a variety of salsas.“
“Friend recommendation. This Mexican joint is in downtown HB by PCH and the beach. So parking is limited as there is also a market until 9Pm. Environment is nice but something seems familiar? That's right. This place is similar to Los Chollos of Anaheim and Fullerton. For taco Tuesday, you get 3 of the premium cuts for 11 bucks (if paying cash). Paying by cash gets you a discount. They do have fountain drinks so that's a plus and they have the usuals like Los Chollos including the veggie/sauce bar. Depending on when you come in determines how long you have to wait. Busiest time would equal at least 40+ minute wait. Got arrachera, cocina and pork belly. Choose the pork belly because you get a lot of meat and that's a plus. It's very crispy and delicious. Overall, this place is good. It's just finding parking is going to be the dead giveaway but I like it. Would go back if I'm in the area and craving good tacos.“
“Everything here was chef’s kiss! My visit was in person and I ordered the Beets Me Burger! The Beets Me burger was so delicious and I loved the fact that it was made from mushrooms and beets. The flavor was amazing and the brioche bun was nicely toasted. I ordered the Biscuit Bomb and through UberEats and it is The Bomb! The biscuit was nice and soft and all of the flavors paired well together. The Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup did not disappoint! I will definitely be back for another visit whenever I’m in this area!“
“My friend came from Tijuana to visit me ??♂️ and we found this amazing place?? NEW LOCATION, the food is amazing, VEGETERIAN NO PROBLEM i was really happy with the food, service is very friendly and they speak spanish tooI highly recomend this place?IOVE IT“
“I have been coming to Joliza's since they opened and I am pleased to say they still have excellent food and service. Had the beef cheek tacos with an horchata today, but I've tried everything on the menu. Tacos were packed with juicy meat and the horchata was so creamy. The owner topped off my horchata while I was eating, which was so nice. It's little service touches like that that keep me coming back. Tho tbh I think I'd still go back if they were rude because that's how tasty it is.“
“One of the Best Al pastor in town!Corn tortillas are made on the spot, huge al pastor meat roasting on the spot. I love all their green & red salsa, red salsa def have a kick, but it's good if you like it spicy. Their burritos and quesadillas are also good, huge! Great service, friendly staffs, line goes by pretty quickly, just be patient, worth the wait. They take cash & zelle.Follow on IG to get updated times and locations through out so cal.“
“Nice little casual place to grab a bite. You order your food at the food truck window and can go into a separate building to sit down. Tacos were tasty and the best part was having different topping options, a couple salsas, pickled onions, Cilantro, Radish, cucumber etc. We were on our way from Orange County up to the Bay Area and wanted to eat quickly to keep driving. Glad we stopped here as it was really close off the freeway.Carne asada and al pastor tacos were delicious. Also tried the suadero but they weren't really my thing. Would come again!“
“AH-MAZING! DELICIOUS! Pleasantly surprised. Can’t wait to go back. I went with 3 friends and we all loved it. What’s not to love with homemade tortillas, steak, cheese, guac and PERUVIAN BEANS!! So creamy and delish! MUST TRY! You won’t be disappointed.“
“We came here on a Tuesday afternoon at lunchtime. There is a taco special that is competitive for the level of service, quality, and ambiance. The staff is friendly. The restaurant is clean. I would recommend this to a friend and I would come back. The portions are perfect. The chips and salsa/dips are really delicious.“
“Delicious food. Must try! Salsa bar is the best around and so is their food. Burritos are $10 right now and tacos are 2.50 each. Fair prices. Their portions are generous. Will continue to come back. Been coming here for at least a year or so.“
“Great food and great service. We ordered the Italian Submarine and Supreme Club sandwiches and split them between us. Both were delicious, served on warm bread with fresh ingredients. My partner said they were the best restaurant sandwiches she has had in many years. Way better than Subway or Jersey Mike's; no comparison.“
“We have tried the asada, pastor, carnitas, and chicken tacos. They are all very good, but not what you might expect from a "traditional" taqueria. It's one hand made tortilla, a little bigger than normal the tiny tacos. It's not very greasy at all. All the meats are good, but the al pastor does have a lot of onion, and the chicken is adobabda.“
“Having been a loyal patron for years, I can confidently say that not only does this taco truck serve delicious food, but the staff is always incredibly nice and welcoming. Whether it's my go-to asada burrito or trying something new from their menu, the quality and service remain consistently excellent. I love it!“
“As someone from San Diego I always claimed our tacos are better but this food truck changed my mind. This is the best food truck for tacos and they are super affordable. every time I'm in LA I will make sure to drive down to Long Beach just to get to them fireeeee!“
“I ordered tacos: tri tip, carnitas, and fish. Although not Mexican in flavor, I really enjoyed the beef and pork. I'm pretty sure they added a sweet secret sauce to these tacos (which Americanized it). The fish taco was good but was falling apart. The chips were good, the salsa mild/bland. The line was long but moved pretty quickly. Bathrooms are available for customers only, but line too long to wait. Limited seating. Most people ate outdoors at tables. We sat on the ground. The indoor dining area was very dark (and dingy), and we couldn't find enough chairs. Overall, it was good, but I probably would not go back because there are tons of other restaurants available to try out.“
“Outstanding impression of how clean this place is for a taco stand. We were looking for food in the area and saw how close this taco stand was (in Westminister!) And new. Also such a benefit in that there is parking!! But no seating, and so popular. The grill is clean and the service is friendly. They refreshed the meats and toppings frequently, everything was freshly cooked despite being like 9ish? And the service was nice/welcoming despite not being Spanish speaking and generous with toppings. They take zelle/cash. The grill was so clean and the pastor you could tell was fresh. The food looks great.. We shared nachos. Another benefit to this stand is that they have an abundance of toppings and their red sauce salsa is super spicy. Everything tasted fresh and didn't make you feel greased/heavy. Nachos were a generous portion for only $10 with meat!! And another 2 with extra meat. The nacho cheese is your basics and plenty of toppings available, especially their grilled onion and jalapeño is spicy! (But no pickled jalapeño like American style lol). The reason I didn't do five stars, is because oddly enough I found the meat to lack flavor. It looked and felt amazing (not that fatty), but I think it was missing something in the marinade or some sort of seasoning/spices. Definitely needs a lot of lime to "awaken" the flavor. I'll probably go again to try the tacos. I suspect their tacos are where its at because of how nice quality and fresh everything is.“
“I found this place by accident on Instagram and decided to make the 3.5 hour trek to try it out. This place is absolutely delicious and tastes just like the caramelos and hot dogs that we get when we visit Magdalena de Kino, Sonora! I highly recommend you give this place a shot if you are looking for some authentic Sonoran food! The service was also excellent! I cannot wait to come back and try the menudo blanco!“
“It’s been a few weeks since I have been here but I had forgotten to leave a review each time. The food here is really, really good. I’ve been to many local taco spots and haven’t found a place that puts a spin on a taco so well that doesn’t take away from the authenticity of a taco. Every protein option is flavored so well but my pick is definitely the carnitas amd the shrimp. Amazing food, Great customer service, all around great dining experience.“
“Will always recommend this place to anyone. Fast, amazing prices, and great food. The tacos always have delicious spices and loaded with onions, cilantro and salsa. Staff remembers their customers and are so nice and respectful. Do not leave your car in the street with blinkers on though. It's a neighborhood and I see people do this all the time there is plenty of parking please park your car instead of taking up half the road.“
“I didn’t give all stars simply because compared to my go to taco spot in Compton, buuuut I don’t always have time or energy to drive there and this is down the street from my house. I came here and it was enough to satisfy my craving for tacos. I hate when I try a new place and then I still am left with the craving because it sucked. This place was not that thankfully :) The portions are huge so I would of probably ordered less had I known lol but I am pregnant so the rest got ate a few hour later anyways ? the young gentlemen were so attentive. Looks like they could of been the sons of the owners, as a mom I felt proud of them definitely coming back and definitely recommending them .“
“Delicious casual local spot! We got the enchiladas, tacos (birria were the best), tamales, and horchata. The owner was very friendly and patient with our limited Spanish. Indoor seating for ~15 and outdoor tables for ~10 people. Would highly recommend!!“
“I do not know you, have never ate their.I read on the news your kindness in helping an elderly woman being attacked and robbed. You were badly hurt trying to help a stranger. I wish we had more people like you!!Get well soon, and God Bless.Floyd“
“Visited CFG 3x during Holy Week. Found the Crispy Fish Sandwich, Shrimp Trio with zucchini, and New England Clam Chowder freshly made and delicious. May have found our favorite new restaurant and will definitely add to our date night rotation.“
“I've lived in SoCal all my life so I've had my fair share of taquerias & taco trucks and this place is my fav! Prices are reasonable, food always comes out fresh and hot, salsas are delicious and actually spicy, and service is fantastic! They're parked in front of a park so there's plenty of parking. Asada, pastor, and lengua are my go to meats. Be sure to ask for carrots and grilled onions!“
“I go there almost every month and the truth is that the quesabirrias are very good. The staff is generally bilingual. The only thing is that the bathroom is located at the back of the place and you have to go out, but other than that everything is very good with the food. I recommend the pineapple water, the quesabirrias and the tripe and head tacos ?“
“I went here with some coworkers last week. There were 8 of us in total and while this restaurant was on the smaller side in terms of seating the food was definitely worth it. We had several people in the group with dietary restrictions and all those restrictions were accounted and accommodated for. Everyone had a great time and the food was delicious. An emergency unfortunately happened and I had to eat my food several hours later but even then it was so delicious. Personally I think if take out food still tastes good after being reheated in a microwave then it’s a sign of a well prepared meal. I had a street carnitas taco, two hard shell beef tacos, and a chimichanga. Everything was so delicious and very affordable. My whole meal was under $25 and it was incredibly filling and satisfying. I’ve been to a lot of Mexican restaurants and had my fair share of the cuisine and this is definitely a place I would return to!Dietary restrictions: Some people were gluten and dairy free and were easily able to find things to eat.“
“My family is from Michoacán and I lived there so I know food from Michoacán and this restaurant is the closest I’ve found to the homemade food. Enchiladas michoacanas and huchepos were delicious! The owners are lovely people too! Highly recommend!“
“Came for the tacos and they did not disappoint. The asada was tasty and the guacamole was excellent. Love the corn tortillas. The service was great and do not forget to put that spicy salsa on your tacos. Don't be fooled by the strip mall, go get these tacos.“
“I fell in love when I tried their food truck in Los Angeles a few years back. I was craving Teddy's and this is the closest location. Got three tacos and consume (with a squirt of course). Mr. Man got quesadillas. I'm not sure if it's the cheese, or if it's the birria broth, but the food was just really salty. Without having the squirt I'm not sure I would have been able to finish it. The salsa also gave the tacos a nice kick. I tried Mr. Man's quesadillas and they were good, better than what I got. Had it not been so salty, everything would have been perfect. If they still have their food truck maybe I need to stick to that.“
“I saw on X a post by Giancarlo Moreira promoting Los Consomes so my hubby and I went to visit. The atmosphere and vibe was very welcoming and mama kitchen. The pozole was the best on the West Coast. My hubby loves the asada tacos. The food was fresh, flavorful and great portions. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward in bringing my in laws and family and co-workers.“
“Let me tell you this was very delicious to enjoy. I normally have a very high expectation when it comes to Mexican food but this definitely hit that. I ordered the tacos, the chicken, the Carne Asada and their adobada!! I was so impressed by their chicken because it’s not easy to really pull off and it was really delicious. I tried there mulitas in adobada I straight lick the plate clean! Also had their Carne Asada quesadilla and their latte and they were so so good. I even tried their Michelada and it was scrumptious! service was super friendly. Everyone was such great energy. And the restaurant is beautiful. It’s clean very well. Decorated everything branded very well.Oh, and they even make their own tortillas!!!“
“Went here for a business lunch, had the squash tacos which were a very tasty vegetarian option. They were accommodating of our ~15 person group last minute, helping to move tables on the patio together for us. Got food out in a reasonable amount of time for our large group.“
“Best pizza in town, in my opinion. I always come here for 3 slices of pizza, the pizza tastes better than Little Caesars, my opinion. Great service. The slices are descent and can't beat the price per slice of pizza unless you go to Costco, but why drive so far of your close to this great pizza spot.“
“My boyfriend and I were in Huntington Beach for Labor Day weekend and before leaving we searched Apple Maps for a taco truck. This one was the first one that popped up & we went for it seeing that they had 4.5 stars on Yelp! Let me tell you, soooooo good! We happened to go on Taco Tuesday so they had a 5 for $5 special on the tacos! They're regularly $1.50 each which is still super cheap. They were amazing and will definitely be back when in the area! Service was great too!“
“Ordered takeout here. The LT burrito was very delicious. Meat was juicy and tender. In order it with just beans and meat because it packs a lot of flavor, don't need the extras, at least for me. We ordered tacos, again plain packed a lot of flavor. Had nachos, pleasantly surprised, not greasy and the chips maintained a crunch even after a few stops after pick up. Went Steelcraft location. Nice, clean, and good atmosphere. Personnel were friendly, even though they are in a cramped environment, they perform well. Wonderful job.“
“This place is a gem. Me and my coworker and I went in randomly the other day and were greeted by the most wonderful staff. We got some food which was so good I can't begin to tell you.I had two tacos rice and beans, and my buddy got a massive burrito. They have a full bar and heated patio. So glad I found this place.“
“I just have to say this. EVERY time I eat at Casa Jiménez Huntington Beach it ALWAYS seems like the best meal (of any kind) I have EVER tasted! Last night was no exception. YUM. And congratulations on the remodel with a fancy new bar! You guys ROCK.“
“This the best taco stand in town. My boyfriend and I always order the Al pastor burrito with cheese. I sometimes get the Al pastor tacos, and they usually add pineapples to them. I honestly think it's way better than Leo's Taco Truck.“
“Husband and I went 2/18/24. When it first opened up I’m sure we were the first customers. Place was really clean. We were greeted right away. Gentleman that took our order was very polite. Food is authentic. I’m really picky on eating Mexican food ?. I had the bistec ranchero and the husband had 2 tacos Jefe and 1 tripas. The bistec ranchero was delicious. Husband said the tacos jefe were delicious as well, the toco de tripas, tripas were to crunchy for his liking but he still ate it?. I liked how they had a variety of salsa’s. We would definitely go back if we ate in town. Keep up the good work!!“
“The food was good. The service was great.I had an order or Carne Asada fries, along with a chicken quesadilla and a cucumber pineapple agua(water). The fries were well seasoned, and the meat was cooked well, not dry or bland. The chicken quesadilla was also good, nothing too amazing or out of this world. Typical chicken quesadilla. The cucumber pineapple water was a bit sweet for my taste but good. Their salsas were actually pretty good in flavor. They had a strong lemony taste. The guacamole was literally nothing other than mashed to avocado with some lemon. But it didn't have the Pico de gallo that you'd normally expect in a guacamole salsa.“
“I like going here because it’s close to where I live and convenient! Their California Burritos are huge and have plenty of filling. I always get a side of sour cream to go along with it. Their chips and salsa are always a good side as well! The chips aren’t always the freshest but they’re not horrible either. I do prefer Chipotles chips more though. I usually get their horchata, there have been a few times it didn’t have much flavor so I’m not sure if their machine wasn’t mixing it thoroughly.Customer service is usually pretty good. It’s a hit or miss if I get someone who is friendly or someone who clearly doesn’t care much for their job.Chipotle is a better option in my opinion but Chronic Tacos isn’t bad for when I want something similar, but don’t want to make the drive!“
“I've only been to the window at night time and it literally hits the spot every time. The area isn't the best so I wouldn't eat there unless I'm with a group. I love the birria tacos and their birria fries and of course horchata “
“It is a nice place, good flavor and very clean, very delicious sauces.Parking: Siesta is full, the parking lot can be parked in front across the street, it's not far away, it's good for exercise.Kid-friendliness: The vanqiutas outside are ideal for family diningWheelchair accessibility: If you have it“
“This restaurant is excellent! We ordered the Mahi Mahi bowl, a Tuna Steak, side order of coconut shrimp and a fish taco and the total came to $42 with tip! The tuna steak size was huge and cooked to perfection! And the bowl had tons of fresh ingredients and good size avocado to boast. We couldn’t believe this restaurant. Truly worth a visit if you’re in town :-)“
“Recently joined the "Toogoodtowaste" app and decided to log in to see what was offered in the surrounding areas and this place popped up. Ended up ordering the 5.99 "surprise" box and you pick up within a certain time frame. Ended up getting a dozen and a half of donuts! Most were glazed which are not my favorite but they were good nonetheless. I gave about an entire dozen to my neighbors downstairs cause the quantity was just too much.“
“Just like the meat a Cortez carnicería, their taco place has great quality food. They prepare your food quick and with a lot of meat. The tortas are made with fresh bread so they run out quickly. The offer beans, and well as different types of salsas to choose from“
“The food is great but be aware that it is a bit on the over priced side. Service is ok, needs some improvement as the cashier taking our order was somewhat confused about the menu or she could have been new. Over all the ambience is great, it gets busy at times and seating is limited. I definitely recommend it though.“
