“Love the atmosphere of this comfortably casual bar. Ample outdoor seating provides the perfect spot to sip a beer or two relaxing in the sunshine. I don’t eat meat so I haven’t tried the burgers, which come highly recommended. The garlic parmesan fries are excellent and enough for 3 people. Sorry I can’t say the same for the cauliflower wings or pretzels with cheese sauce. But I had the best-poured beer of my life—a fresh Scrimshaw pilsner in a sparkling-clean glass. See attached video. Despite the venue’s name, they now offer cocktails as well as beer and wine.“

“I really enjoyed dining at Taisho Sushi! The yellowtail serrano was perfectly balanced with just the right spice, and the salmon dry miso was incredibly flavorful and fresh. The presentation and service were both excellent — definitely one of my favorite sushi spots in town. Highly recommend!“

“Probably top 3 bagels I’ve ever had in my life. And I LOVE a NY bagel. I got the rosemary and seal salt bagel with lox, bean sprouts, tomatoes, and eggs and it was absolutely fantastic. The bagel was cooked to perfection and flavored wonderfully. The people were super nice and it was made super quickly.“

“The place is nice and clean. It was a little too dark for me, but I still enjoyed the time dining there. The table guacamole was really good! The margaritas were good as well. My husband ordered street tacos and he was a little disappointed. They were very simple. I ordered mole enchiladas and I enjoyed them. The mole had a great taste and they were well served. My son had chicken with mole and it was very well served. He was very pleased. The service was good. The atmosphere was a little serious and dark, like more for couples. I didn't feel it like a family restaurant. Overall, we had a good experience.“

“This use to be one of my favorite locations. The service is fast, and the cashiers are always nice and professional. It’s also a very safe location but not a lot of places to eat outside like other locations. Overall it’s still a good clear restaurant with fresh food.“

The food was absolutely amazing Bolognese 5/5 Lobster pasta 4.5/5 Spaghetti carbonara 5/5 Spaghetti with gamberi 4/5 (very spicy) Spaghetti arrabbiata 4/5 Caesar salad 5/5 Wine (Pinot noir & Chianti) 5/5 Pistachio and chocolate cake 5/5 The service was truly special. They went above and beyond. The restaurant is gorgeous and intimate. It's perfect for dates or family dinners.“

The curry dip was hearty and creamy and paired perfectly with the crunchy roti. The fried rice was the perfect balance of fresh produce and indulgent fried goodness. It's the kind of amazing dish that leaves you feeling satiated but not bloated! All of my compliments to the chef.

“Had steak and lobster with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was delicious. Mel was our server and did a great job. It was my birthday and my grandson told the server. Next thing I know and Mel brought a dish with ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup and strawberries with a candle in it. Great restaurant! Really enjoyed our time there!“

“The place is great. Myself and my wife came there for a pizza (truffle) the place was still not full and due to some difficulties in the kitchen. We had to wait very long time for the pizza and started to get really hungry angry.. my wife went to check on the order but still did not help. Not a good start! But then.. the pizza arrive, the stuff apologized and the pizza.. oh my good, was so good. One of the best we had for a while.. so we could forgive and the problems they had.. I really enjoyed the pizza so , even though there are so many places to eat in downtown Ventura, we found ourself in the next time back for another one.. the stuff was surprised to see us and giving them second chance and promised us the it will not happen. Again, and it was true, we ordered a great salad that arrived in minutes and few minutes after , the pizza was ready and again wonderful. I want to mention the girl Anna that was taking our orders and help in the kitchen. She was very kind polite and helpful, and new how to take responsibility when issues happened (I appreciated that) and was totally on her game the second night , and made sure everything will be great for us. ! We will be glad to come again“

I went solo one night and easily spent over $100, with food and drinks.

The quality of the food was amazing and I hope it keeps that same quality when I return. The drinks were spot on. Excellent bartenders.

The atmosphere was great. I even met 2 wonderful ladies and we went to another bar afterwards!

“NYC cheese slices are my jam, and we have an embarrassment of riches in Sherman Oaks. Within a mile of each other, there are three, count 'em three, authentic NY slice shops. My son and I visited all three of them on a self-guided cheese slice tour of Sherman Oaks. Pizza Wagon was stop three on the tour!

The atmosphere is good...NY decor on the walls in what feels like a truly neighborhood / not-chain space. The service was great too...the staff worked quickly and were abundantly friendly and helpful.

They do a good job with authentic style slices...the right amount of crisp on the crust and a good ratio of sauce versus cheese. The chew was good, though both the crust and sauce don't quite have the superior flavor profile of the nearby places.

It's definitely a good alternative to those, though, and miles ahead of the major chain pizzas in terms of NY style.“

The bread was warm and buttery and flaky!! I mixed the chili and tomatoes sauce that made a perfect dipping sauce. Lemonade was refreshing! I look forward to my next oil change so I can be in the area and order from them again haha ☺️“

How helpful they are with all the questions and requests that my wife and I had. There was no request that was too big. The entire time we waited for our food I watched the gentleman at the front counter, engage with customer after customer with the same respect and helpfulness. The food is super fresh. The atmosphere is great and the price is reasonable. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven’t. Try the unique sodas from the fountain. They are amazing. The root beer was one of the best I ever tasted.“
