“This is a small and cute bakery in the area. I came by during Valentine’s Day. One of the ladies was decorating the window with Valentine’s Day theme. We ordered the coffee cake and almond croissant. The croissant was very fluffy and crispy. It is one of the best croissant I had in the US, it reminded me of the bakery and croissants I had in Paris. Servers are very helpful and friendly as I asked them for recommendations of the pastries. Will come back again for more croissants!
Street parking is available.“

“Guys I literally thought some of the photos must be fake... they're not. I got exquisite latte art (good coffee too!), beautiful plates of delicious food. I have no idea why this place only has 88 reviews, but the 4.8 stars is accurate! On top of that, it's a very cute location. Please try out Old Town Caffe!
We got the Salmon Bagel, Sweet Latte, Ube Frozen drink, and Egg Avocado Toast and they all exceeded expectations :)“

“Republik Coffee is as solid as it gets. It has good food, good coffee, and a good ambiance, which makes it a great hang out spot. The breakfast burrito, an almond danish, and a hazelnut cappuccino. It's not a large breakfast burrito, but I felt like all off the ingredients were good quality. The danish was good, and the cappuccino was solid as well.“

“Second time here-the goodies are delicious and elegant with a delightfully stylish twist (Madeleines with a citrusy yuzu glaze; Chocolate chip cookies with sesame, sugar cookies with miso, lime tarte with a sugared shiso leaf topper, etc. ) and the coffee is Excellent-10 out of 10 for this alone. Fabulous addition to the neighborhood and truly worth a drive over from wherever you are.“

“Cordova Cafe & Bottleshop isn't called Cheers, but it certainly could be - the "neighborhood hangout" vibe here is amazing! The food is great and there are excellent choices in beer and wine, but what sets this place apart are the people. You could look long and hard without finding a more welcoming establishment!“

“A Hidden Gem: Superba Snacks + Coffee
Superba Snacks + Coffee is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly blends casual comfort with a touch of modern elegance. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home.

The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The breakfast burrito is a standout, with a perfect balance of creamy and crunchy textures. Their pastries look amazing. And the coffee? It’s some of the best in town—rich, smooth, and expertly brewed.

“So excited to have this fabulous little sandwich shop in Sierra Madre. We have been there several times now, and everything has been tasty and fabulous (sandwiches, soups, wraps….). Even the tea! The people are very friendly, and there are so many vegetarian and vegan options. If you want a certain sandwich, and you don’t want something on it, just let them know. Hooray! We will be back and we will be bringing friends.“

“Unusually pleasant tiny coffeeshop in a somewhat magical setting- - if it’s an odd time on a weekday, I am guessing. I came on a weekday afternoon and waited quite a while in line behind less than a dozen people for at least twenty minutes. It seemed excessive, to be honest- but maybe people were on break. The staff seemed really pleasant otherwise, and were also working hard - maybe something had malfunctioned and they had slowed down.
I noticed a patron sipping from an actual ceramic cup-always nicer than paper- andI ordered the gui hua latte. Both the flavor and the physical presentation of the drink were beautiful.“

“Went here on my birthday on October 23rd this year with my family and Maid Nagi was very attentive, helpful, and very sweet. I ordered the SR Kawaii Combo and got the Omurice with Ketchup writing as my Entree, Ichigo Cheesecake for dessert, and Sakura Flower Milky Tea. The food here is made fresh and hot, while the taste for everything was really delicious and I had a good time here. Maid Nagi also wrote Happy Birthday on my Omurice as well as my polaroid included in the set which I thought was very cute and generous. The place was really elegant and clean. I recommend Arcane if you’re wanting to celebrate a birthday, just want to chill out with friends, or family.“

“First time visiting, lived in El Monte for 5 years never knew this place was here; small but spacious nice little diner to come have a meal. I had the French Toast Combo with a large orange juice came out to $22.20. With a $7.80 tip came to $30 flat. Food was fine/delicious, place seemed clean. Lot of help in the kitchen, pretty fast service, no complaints. The atmosphere gives like veterans POW/Elk Lodge/small town/diner vibes, a handful of older(40/50+) dudes, a young teen couple and a family with toddler was here when I sat in at 10am on Wednesday morning. Parking: I was able to find a spot, but it is limited-if busy.“

“After 3 weeks visiting from Los Angeles to San Diego and many of its coffee shops along the way, this is the one that not only has has the widest selection of coffee beans from single origins to interesting blends, but also the only one where I found single origin coffee beans from Panama. We tried two pour over, one espresso and one cappuccino. Very good balanced full bodied espresso with notes of caramel and chocolate, nice acidity that leaves a long lasting smooth mouthfeel. The pour over, one Java which was more fruity and nutty, with a medium body. And the Kenya Gachatta AA which was more floral, with a very bright orange acidity, very juicy mouthfeel, my personal favorite of the two I tried. Highly recommended!“

“The food here is on point! My family says they have the best fries in LA. A little on the pricier side, but you can get a discount with a member ship to the Arbouretum. I only take down one star on the atmosphere because occasionally, peacocks come to try to steal food from you while eating outside.“

“Cool neighborhood coffee spot with chill vibes, a little shop that sells some cool stuff beyond just coffee brewing tools and coffee beans, and some (limited) comfortable seating inside. There is also outside seating which is especially great during nice days. The espresso I got was wonderful, and it’s always appreciated when they’re served with a shot of cold sparkling water.
Vegetarian options: I didn’t see anything that wasn’t non-vegetarian. ??“

“We ordered the Thai Milk Tea, Strawberry Mango Smoothie, Oreo Vanilla Smoothie with boba...the flavors in those drinks were excellent.Great taste and great price. We took a risk and ordered the new Kiwi Green Tea with green jellies. The jasmine in it was too overpowering. Tasted fresh, but wouldn't recommend it.The line was somewhat long... it's drive thru only, so expect a bit of a wait depending on the time you go. Had one cashier who was also responsible for making the drinks to order. Felt bad for him, but he did a great job.Even with disliking the new drink we tried, it's still worthy of five stars.Highly recommend and we'd go back again in the future.“

“Nice little cafe in Alhambra near Pasadena with a simple menu of sandwiches, croissants, coffee, and tea. The location is convenient in a lot of covered public parking. The service is quick and the staff are polite. The food is good for a cafe and a simple breakfast, lunch, or snack. If you're looking for a full complete meal then you will need to find a restaurant.“

“I’ve visited several Porto's locations, and each one has its own unique vibe that makes you feel welcome every time. While you might find yourself waiting in line, it moves surprisingly quickly, and the spacious layout ensures you never feel cramped while anticipating your order.
The service is efficient. Once you reach the counter, the staff takes your order and drink, which you can conveniently pick up at a nearby station.
I always come back for the potato balls—they're consistently hot, fresh, and delicious! I recently tried the potato cheese balls, and they are fantastic as well. I also highly recommend the empanadas, especially when they're hot out of the oven; they’re crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft inside. And don’t miss the pork tamales—they melt in your mouth and are packed with flavor.
Whenever I’m back in Los Angeles, I make sure to stock up on potato balls to take home to Canada. The popularity of this place speaks volumes, as every location I visit is always bustling with customers. It’s easy to see why Porto's is famous for its incredible food!“

“A Tiny Bakery with Big Flavor
Tucked away in the heart of Pasadena, a quaint little bakery is making waves with its delectable sandwiches and refreshing beverages. Despite its modest size, this gem offers a culinary experience that's anything but ordinary.
A Sandwich Sensation:
Indulge in their signature sandwich, a hearty and flavorful creation that's perfect for sharing. At around $13, you'll receive three generous half-sandwiches, making it an affordable and satisfying meal for two.
A Matcha Marvel:
For a refreshing pick-me-up, try their mango matcha. This delightful blend is not overly sweet, striking the perfect balance of fruity and earthy flavors.
Convenient Dining:
While the bakery doesn't offer lots of indoor seating, you can easily enjoy your meal outdoors. Simply find a spot on the nearby street, pay the meter, and savor the deliciousness.“

“Unexpectedly found this adorable cafe while shopping. The owner was super friendly!
