“Anita’s cake is perfect in every way, even though I am not a big fan of sesame flavor cake but I have to say she has her magic way to make all ingredients blend in beautifully. This matcha sesame mousse cake is so soft and so smooth, u can taste the matcha and the sesame with the right amount of sweetness. This is the second cake I tried from her, her Earl gray cake is definitely heavenly and a must try. Her cakes are simply fantastic. Would want to try more.“

“A great bakery, full of yummy baked items, prepared meals to go, breads to take home, sandwiches, salads and yummy desserts. I always stop here when I'm in the Sierra Madre area. They offer baked breads and prepared entries. Prices are a bit high, but worth every penny.“

“I can’t believe how good this place is. When I moved to LA I thought there would be more options for gluten free and other allergen free options, but I haven’t really seen hardly any, especially on the east side. You can tell how intentional the menu is, nothing has been an afterthought. The owner's creativity with ingredients and flavor pairings are outstanding while still being familiar. Their versions of “scallops” and “fried calamari” taste better than the real thing which was very impressive. They have board games and fun mocktails too. Great multipurpose atmosphere for possible events, and the owners have great hospitality. Parking wasn’t a problem either.“

“Went for first time today. Extremely busy place. But considering the number of customers, they were pretty fast. I would definitely recommend them for their quality and efficiency. It’s noisy because of the hard surfaces construction but otherwise, all good.“

“A cozy café with a Korean vibe. I had been following posts about its opening on a thread, so I felt a sense of familiarity with it. The dessert and drink menu were simple and not over-the-top, which I really liked. I was surprised to see more foreigners than Koreans, even though cafés like this usually attract a lot of Koreans. The atmosphere was lovely as well.“

“Absolutely in love with this place. Gigi and her mom have built something special here. The BEST gluten free donuts I have ever had. I’ve been gluten free for five years and have been consistently disappointed with crumbly, dry donuts. Not anymore. This place has changed the game. Their donuts are perfectly moist and amazingly flavorful. I am beaming after visiting this place. Easily my new favorite spot and I will definitely be coming back. Impeccable vibes from the super chill baristas.“

“Just amazing...this stuff is so beautiful I almost didn't want to eat it! But I did, haha, and it was great! I love that there is so much variety, from cookies to cakes, and the owner is such a sweet person! I'll definitely keep them in mind for my birthday when it rolls around in August. Keep up the good work!“

“Above average, I can say for everything. Add in and out, the only thing that is changing. Is there size of the hamburgers? Are getting smaller and also their fries. The smaller servings they're holding out on the food, but higher prices make me want to go and eat someplace else.“

“I’ve been to the DTLA Arts District location so many times, so I was shocked (in the best way) to discover this one so close to home. The space is modern, clean, and has a cool vibe — though I still lean toward the unique Arts District atmosphere. What really stands out is the pizza: same incredible quality as DTLA. Blindfold me and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
The only thing to keep in mind is that pizza by the slice can add up — if you’re thinking of grabbing more than two, a fresh pie might be the smarter move. Either way, I’m thrilled to have another amazing spot nearby!“

“This place came to the rescue!!! The wedding cake I had made fell over on the long drive. It was a disaster!! Other bakeries near the wedding venue were already closed and others needed at least 48 hour notice… the wedding was happening NOW. I called Sonora Bakery in my final desperate attempt, explained the situation, sent them a picture of the cake and within minutes, they got to work. The cake was delicious and the wedding was saved. Thank you Sonora Bakery…. You have a customer for life!“

“Kitchen Mouse is one of those rare spots that feels like it’s smiling at you the moment you walk in. The soft green and pink décor, the whimsical touches, and the cozy kids’ area all make it feel like stepping into a storybook. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made , from their baked goods to their fresh breakfast items, lunch and tasty early dinner offerings , everything tastes like care.
The staff ,Owen, Clara, Dominic and the whole team , are as warm and sweet as the kitchen itself. They make you feel seen and welcome in that effortless way that can’t be faked.
If you’re anywhere near Highland Park, treat yourself to their happy hour from 4 to 6, or stop in any time for something fresh made with love and delicious. Kitchen Mouse is a place that reminds you that food can be both joyful and nourishing , for the body and the heart 🥰

“Absolutely delicious! Can’t go wrong with SusieCakes. Chocolate cake is my all time favorite. Perfect for chocolate lovers. This time I ordered a slice of celebration cake and did not disappoint. Very moist and the flavor was just right.
They also offer a variety of cupcakes.
Jaimie helped me out. Very nice and even offered us to try a different flavor cake.
Customer service A+

“T-Swirl Crepe is one of those spots you can always count on when you’re craving something sweet (or even savory) but want it with a fun twist. Their crepes are super light, crispy around the edges, and perfectly chewy in the middle—basically the ideal texture. What I love is how they roll them into these cone-like shapes, making it easy to eat without the mess of a flat crepe.
The menu has a good mix of options, from sweet classics like strawberries and cream or mango to savory ones like smoked salmon or chicken teriyaki. My personal favorite is [insert your favorite if you have one, e.g., the matcha azuki bean or banana nutella]. The fruit is always fresh, the cream is not overly sweet, and the balance of flavors makes it feel indulgent without being too heavy.
The space itself is casual and clean, with a modern vibe that’s great for a quick bite or a treat after walking around the area. Service is usually pretty quick, even when they’re busy.
Prices are fair for the quality and size—you’re definitely getting a crepe that’s filling enough to share (though I usually don’t!).
Overall, T-Swirl Crepe is one of those places I know I’ll keep coming back to whenever I want a fun, tasty, and slightly Instagram-worthy treat.
Parking is a bit busy since its shared with everything else, but free parking,“

“This restaurant is MOSTLY VEGAN. A few items do have egg or dairy milk, but they are easily swapped for plant based options. This place uses fresh ingredients and makes creative dishes. I wish my tummy was big enough to eat one of everything! I got the chilaquiles and a "dirty"chai latte (dirty means it has an extra espresso shot). I don't live near by, so I'm not going to be able to visit often. Updated from previous review on 2025-02-26“

“Constellation is a jewel in both La Canada and Silver Lake. It’s one of a handful of really good coffee shops in LA. Their espresso is smooth but flavorful, perfect for that early AM wake up call. Best of all, they are very community oriented and the leadership here really dedicates itself to helping the community in more ways than one. Great place, great owners, and they go the distance!“

“This Taiwanese bakery has such a wide selection of pastries, it’s impossible to choose just one. My top pick is the sea salt coffee—slightly sweet and perfectly balanced. “Love this place. Is there food something I could make myself? Yes, probably. But you can't beat getting a healthy, well rounded meal, and their prices are so reasonable. “Came here with my wife and got yogurt. Tart was not working so the girl kindly got it working for me. I left a $2 tip. The owner comes in at the end of her shift, takes the money from the can . I may have mistaken, but that was dirty imop. Give the tips to the workers..
Edit.. My apologies. Hopefully they have a special blend of yogurt for those so inclined to steal tips from workers. ?“

“Bought a cake for a going away party for my coworker who moved to Texas. The cake was exactly what I asked for. I had to pickup the cake at a store-front. The store-front is a cafe that belongs to a different business that is partnering with this baker. You have to go inside and let them know you are there to pickup your cake. The cafe store-frint sells good food and drink too, and the customer service was excellent.“

“Hiatus= opportunity for another stop in the LAtte tour. Today’s pilgrimage finds me in Sierra Madre at Syndicate, a fantastic find nestled comfortably downtown on Sierra Madre Blvd. Plenty of street parking and a beautiful place to take a stroll if you don’t score a spot immediately out front. The vibe is instantly welcoming, decor is colorfully minimalist, that’s probably not a thing, but it’s the best descriptor I have. The baristas are friendly, skilled and true devotees to all things coffee, even willing to share some potential sites to visit on the next LAtte stop. The coffee itself is excellent, rich, flavorful and no hint of bitterness. I went with oat milk this time and it paired perfectly with the blend, rich creamy, delicious! I can wholeheartedly recommend a visit should you find yourself in the area, or even if your not- expand your horizons and make it a destination, it’s worth it.“
