“This place is pretty decent. All I really get here are fish and shrimp tacos. And I think those are pretty darn good. If I'm going out on a limb I get a bean and cheese burrito. No fluff, no nonsense, just a burrito to the dome that makes me fart. 🙂 Anyway, I think it serves better food than the other place in Sierra. Madre that's just my opinion. Service is fast and there's some good people working here. So come here eat a fish taco and shut up. Love, me. 🙂😘“

I had ordered four tacos: Masala Birria, Tinga Masala Chicken (by recommendation), Pibil Chicken, and the potato (Mexican potato substitution), along with a side of Mom's Beans and seasoned Cauliflower. I was nodding my head blissfully as I ate everything. The smell of spices and fresh cilantro, the taste of meaty beans and succulent poultry, and pickled onions were wildly satisfying. “If you have not had the chance to dine in at Girasol, I highly recommend it. The chicharon with guac is a must as a starter, make sure you get some of the spicy sauce. As for a recommendation for a meal, well you have to come in and try. We loved the chilaquiles, the carne en su juego, the menudo, and the breakfast burrito. If you have a sweeter taste, the French toast, the pancakes and the crepe are awesome. But as mentioned before, you just have to come in and try everything.“

“I love food, one of the best taco truck in the town. It's located in front of the beautiful Arcadia park with plenty of convenient parking spots, picnic tables and benches. So far we tried nacho, beef taco, fi sh taco, asada fries, quesadillas an3d horchata. They were all really good!
My only request is about the way it gets served. While the disposable styrofoam plates are so convenient, it melts! It got melted by the quesadilla and the fries.

Please please put a layer of foil before putting the hot food on the styrofoam plates. I would love to keep coming back if it's safer“

They were closed because of July 4th holiday. Apparently, they stayed closed for a couple of days afterwards. He said that is why he feels that they don't stay open long enough for business. If you notice their hours. However, their food and atmosphere is amazing. As well as their service. One time, we ordered for pick up. They were so nice. They threw in extra chips and salsa. “I am so happy to discover this little hole in the wall place. I ordered the Chile con puerco. I tasted the epazote and all the 3 types of green Chiles they placed in this delicious green sauce. The texture, color and taste is to perfection. The pork was cooked well where it melts in your mouth. Savory to the last morsel. The chips come to your table already sprinkled liberally with love; frijoles negros y cotija, one red and one green salsa - all this off the bat once you concede that yes, you would like some chips. I had the Chiapas #3 on the host’s recommendation and it was delicious - the chorizo and eggs was a bit oversalted, I think they double salted the chorizo and then again in the eggs, so that did show up a bit strong. I got the flautas which were lovely and thin while still being substantial. I got the platanos duros con crema dulce for desert, so good, just the right amount of char for sweet and a little savory. The chicken soup tastes unique, fresh, delicious. The spoon you use will be coated in viscous, golden goodness. A bunch of this food I got to go to share with a friend. We are both happy I came. Final note, I felt comfortable, safe, and welcome as a solo lady diner. 🌹🙏🏾“

“I stopped by this taco truck after my usual taco stand wasn’t open—and I’m glad I gave it a try. I ordered the buche, carnitas, pastor, and cabeza tacos. The carnitas and cabeza were the best—juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right.

I also had the carne asada fries, which were hearty and satisfying. The guacamole in the carne asada fries is seriously addictive, and their salsa, along with the pickled jalapeños and red onions, added a fresh, tangy kick.

At $2.50 per taco, the prices are reasonable for the quality. I’ll definitely be coming back.

“The asada tacos are pretty good. They are able to add cilantro without onions, which is rare. The rice and beans were good as well. I had to wait for a refill on my coke. The salsas, red and green, had good flavor and they had a good spice level.“
