“This place is pretty decent. All I really get here are fish and shrimp tacos. And I think those are pretty darn good. If I'm going out on a limb I get a bean and cheese burrito. No fluff, no nonsense, just a burrito to the dome that makes me fart. 🙂 Anyway, I think it serves better food than the other place in Sierra. Madre that's just my opinion. Great non-Mexico tacos! But so good. Crispy! Their burritos are fried so a little different. These old-school taco places are nostalgic and need to stay around. “Very comfortable place to be in. Everyone was relaxed and you could hear the staff in the kitchen communicating getting the orders out. They have good lighting, a larger modern menu board with a great selection. They had light hearted music playing and a big tv to watch the Dodger games. I was surprised to see Birria on the menu so had to get that for sure! I think I will may this my goto spot a couple days a week so I can eat better for less and no dishes to wash.“

“I was looking for a good taco place and I came across Covyd Tacos on Yelp and decided to try them. Unaware that they were just serving on tables under a shade during the evenings, I gave them a try and ordered asada and cabeza burritos. I became a regular after that night and they practically knew me by name. Their burritos are very delicious and their servings are generous. They also had quesadillas, and a variety of tacos. They also have Al Pastor which is really tasty. They do not accept credit cards but they accept Venmo payments. I now miss their tacos and burritos since I was only in La Puente for 5 weeks but would be their customer again if I go back to La Puente, California again.“

Shrimp burrito are mid. Every bite is either just beans., or rice or veggies and some shrimp. Not the best place for burritos.
Fish tacos were much better. But portions were small and a ton of coleslaw.“

This time, I ordered the baked potato with cheese and lengua (tongue). Absolute perfection. They serve it with handmade corn tortillas that take everything to another level. “Avenue 26 Taco Stand in Lincoln Heights is a hole-in-the-wall spot that has some of the best tacos in LA. Their al pastor tacos are unbeatable, with perfectly seasoned meat and fresh toppings. Do yourself a favor and try the quesadilla with thick fresh masa toasted on the grill. Everything I’ve had on multiple visits is delicious. The people are lovely. There are a few small tables and chairs on the sidewalk. Foodie explorers: If the wait is too long at Mala Class, come here and give it a try. You won’t regret it.

“Good food, but kinda sloppy at the end of the night. They ran out of most of their food by 1030pm on a Friday night and only had tacos (tortillas). The green salsa was good and spicy, the red salsa was definitely fire! Tacos de Asada were delicious, but the meat was a bit dry. The horchata was watered down, but authentic. Very affordable and tasty, but maybe go earlier in your evening and not so late for variety availability on the menu. I would go back.
